For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from himJesus of Nazareth (Matthew 13:12)When I was a child, I used to look out at the world, watch the news, and think to myself how unfair it is that some people are so rich and others so poor. But now I have come to the conclusion that if all the money in the world were divided equally between everyone, within a short time, the rich would be rich again, and the poor would be poor again. Why? Simply put – money is a symptom or an effect. The cause of money is our attitude, our thoughts, and our self-image.We attract more of what we focus on. We create our own financial condition. Being rich is the effect of our thoughts, not the cause. Most people

Mass Effect Sequel Will be "Richer" The release of Mass Effect has seen much praise heaped on BioWare, but the studio has kept mum on the subject of a sequel. That is no more, as BioWare general manager Greg Zeschuk has begun speaking about the sequel, specifically addressing the side-quest system, saying that it will be “richer” than its predecessor which was criticized for being too repetitive. He talked about building the foundation of the game, stating that it will be much easier to integrate content and “make things richer” for the sequel. As expected, he does not offer any release date (it’s too early anyway) but he does look forward to the game being “smarter”. Well, it looks like the rich will get richer down the road. Yesterday, the details of Alex Rodriguez's contract was divulged and this much will be certain -- he will be a supremely wealthy man when all is said and done.Alex Rodriguez and the New York Yankees have agreed on a $30 million marketing package based on home-run achievements that could raise the total value of his new contract to $305 million over 10 years.Under the agreement, which remains to be finalized, Rodriguez could receive $6 million each for tying the home-run levels of Willie Mays (660), Babe Ruth (714), Hank Aaron (755) and Barry Bonds (762), and an additional $6 million for breaking Bonds' major league record. The Yankees could designate each level as a historic event, enabling Rodriguez to receive the added money in exchange for additional personal appearances and signed memorabilia for the club. That enabled the agreement to be allowed by the players' association and the commissioner's office. Baseball genera

Singapore just celebrated its 42nd birthday. One concern raised by Singapore’s Prime Minister is the widening income gap between the Rich and the Poor.
If you look around, you may realize that there is a trend that the Rich Get Richer while the Poor Get Poorer. Why?
Actually Singapore is currently having one of its best golden years in history, with opportunities abound, it is possible for someone who is not Rich to BECOME Rich.
Can someone who is NOT rich become Rich? Yes, it is possible. One of the SECRETS why the Rich get Richer is that the Rich UNDERSTAND and USE Other People’s Money (Financial Leverage).
How can you use Other People’s Money (OPM) to become Rich? One possible way is to use good debt wisely.
The Good Debt that almost everyone has access to is a Housing Loan.
P.S. please avoid all bad debt. My definition of bad debt is any debt that you incur which you do not have a chance of making more money than the interest you pay is bad debt.
What is my defin
This is sick, and I don't care if it is Alex Rodriguez or not. No player in baseball is WORTH 30 million per year; however, it looks like A-Rod might cross that plateau. The New York Yankees have asked to meet with third baseman Alex Rodriguez , and if and when they get that meeting, league sources indicate the team is prepared to make him an offer that will exceed, in average salary, the $27 million per year that he is scheduled to make over the next three seasons -- and A-Rod would be in line to set yet another salary benchmark. The offer could be for something in the range of five years -- beyond the three years Rodriguez is already under contract for, from 2008-10 -- and perhaps $30 million a year. The highest per-workday salary earned to date is the $28 million Roger Clemens received, in prorated salary, for a little less than four months of work this season. If the Yankees' extension offer is for something in the range of $150 million, over five years, then Rodriguez would be ow
Well folks… The answer depends on your position in our fictitious Malaysian food chain system. Before I elaborate any further, have you folks read that fine letter submitted by Panir and published by MalaysiaKini yesterday? If you have not read it yet, please go and read the letter now because what I’m about to post here today has something to do with that.As you can see from his letter, it is obvious that our Panir is very much disappointed with the ever rising cost of living today. Yes, it is getting unbearable and pretty ridiculous. Thanks to Barisan Nasional Public Limited of course. There are many more people like Panir really, plenty more! I don’t know whether you folks notice it or not but our poor and needy Malaysians make up the majority of the people. It is not that easy to see them really because they hide their hardships in numerous disguises. Some pretend to be rich or doing well by buying big and expensive cars through debts. Some pretend to be rich or doing well by b
Madonna
Madonna has just inked a deal with Live Nation that will make her almost $120 million dollars richer over 10 years. This gives Live Nation a stronghold on her albums, tours, films, merchandising, and other music projects.
There was much speculation about this deal, as she was waiting to see if her current label, Warner Brothers Records, would match the offer from Live Nation, and obviously they didn’t.
Madonna feels that too much is changing in the music biz world and saw what Live Nation could do for her.
“The paradigm in the music business has shifted and as an artist and a business woman, I have to move with that shift,” Madonna said. “For the first time in my career, the way that my music can reach my fans is unlimited. I’ve never wanted to think in a limited way and with this new partnership, the possibilities are endless.”

Instead of saying Oprah, we might as well say - - “Mo’ Money! Mo’ Money! Mo’ Money!” Already one of the richest women in the US, she is taking her money status to a whole new level.
Oprah just sold her television channel, Oxygen Media, to NBC for a whopping $925 million. The station is aimed at women and features female-centric programming. NBC thinks it will complement their programming.
In a Times Online article, a NBC executive said:
Oxygen will “increase our foothold in the advertiser-coveted young, upscale, female demographic,” according to Jerry Zucker, its chief executive. “It perfectly complements our current roster of cable channels and plays to our strength of running and operating cable networks,” he added.
An interesting point to note is that NBC is supposedly funding the deal ”through the sale of other NBC assets, such as two independent Telemundo television stations, one in Los Angeles and the other in Puerto Rico,&rdquo

NO one was more thrilled that 50 Cent is $100 million richer than his baby mama, Shaniqua Tompkins, who’s in a child-support case against the hip-hop star. Fitty’s windfall is due to his stake in Vitamin Water, whose parent company, Glaceau, was bought by Coca-Cola for $4.1 billion. Tompkins wants some of 50’s share for their 10-year-old son, Marquise Jackson. Her lawyer, Raoul Felder, told us, “This will be a subject of the trial.” A lawyer for the rapper says, “The extent of his worth is irrelevant. He always has and always will support his son.” The case resumes Friday in Suffolk County Family Court.

Thinking of combining your finances? Here are reasons why you should and why you should not:
Pros
- Finances are easier and much simpler to record and track. Your money is located in a center pool, making your earnings and expenses easier to handle. This is also effective if either husband or wife earns more than the other.
- You get better interest rates because your balances are bigger and you also get better deals with investments . You also pay fewer fees because you maintain fewer accounts.
- Either husband or wife lacks the discipline to handle their money, making combined finances the better choice.
Cons- A joint return may not only make you ineligible for certain credits, it also puts you at a tax bracket that is higher than you’re used to.
- If you’re filing separately for your federal income tax return, you might find it disadvantageous if one spouse is getting a refund and the other owes the IRS money. You might also have to pay more if either the husband or wif
It's a well known and much debated economic principle that "the rich get richer". When it comes to finances, the rule tends to be that those who already have a certain level of financial liquidity tend to find it tons easier to make even more money. Given that financial institutions and investment houses everywhere are happy to have people with gobs of cash store it on their premises in return for some level of interest compensation, it's easy to see why all of this is sort of, well...true.As the saying goes, "It takes money to make money". Or at least it's a whole lot easier when that's the case. And guess what? The exact same principle holds true when it comes to dating and attraction. People who already have lots of MOTOS (Members Of The Opposite Sex) in their lives keep on attracting more. Now obviously, there's no "First Bank Of Wildly Successful Dating" to invest in. So figuring out why the "rich get richer" in our field of interest is going to take a different train of though

Number 928Sixpence None The Richer"Kiss Me"(1997)...Genre:PopBest described with this brief comment... ..After toiling in relative obscurity in the Christian pop ghetto for several years, Sixpence None the Richer suddenly exploded on to the pop charts in 1999 on the strength of "Kiss Me," an utterly irresistible slice of swoony guitar pop that, once heard, is impossible to shake loose from the brain and could well turn out to be this generation's "I Wanna Hold Your Hand."Nice praise indeed and very well worth it for this song. Rolling Stone Top 500 Songs ranked this song at Number (Nope, They hated it) and the Album ranked at Number (Nope, didn't know it was out yet) This song has a crowbarred rating of 54.8 out of 108
(Written Wednesday evening, January 10, 2007) Elijah and I made the six-mile roundtrip to Mbai again today. The journey there was a piece of cake. It was 10 a.m., and the sun had not yet reached its full strength. The trip back, however, was a different story. I finally convinced Elijah to stop at Kiminini market so we could purchase a couple of cold sodas.I interviewed two women today. They welcomed me into their homes, nicely answered all of my questions, and shared their problems with me. The women's homes were extremely modest, constructed using wood frames and mud mixed with cow dung. The homes had only two or three rooms, and were furnished with tables and chairs most of us Americans would toss in the trash bin. But, though they have little, these women are very proud. They go to the trouble of planting colorful flowers around their homes, and they do the best they can to provide for their families. The first woman I interviewed today has truly struggled to support her children
