We went to the St.Joe vs Grand Rapids Christian High School Football playoff game and in the second half, the weather SUCKED! Not only did it rain like crazy, but the game was delayed nearly 2 hours due to lightening. Once the game resumed, it rained even harder!!! So I wake up Saturday morning feeling like a semi truck ran over my ass.Oh yeah, St.Joe won 31-21 to reach the District Finals. Despite the shitty conditions, both teams played real well. St.Joe was up 21-7 when the game was delayed and after delay, Grand Rapids fought back to tie the score at 21. But St.Joe dominated the 4th quarter, scoring 10 points to secure the victory.St.Joe will now take on arch rival Lakeshore in the District Finals. St.Joe defeated Lakeshore earlier this season 21-3 to end a 17 game losing streak to the Lancers. 7,500 people watched the game earlier this season. Remix versus remaster is a quandary. After all, who pioneered the remix? Soft Cell had a huge part in it by remixing their classic first album as the ecstasy-driven Non Stop Ecstatic Dancing six months later. Now I didn't get AT ALL excited by the Depeche Mode venture... Well it's a case of two bands, really. Like me, you either adore the poppy earlier version or lose interest in the the stadium monster they became.But Soft Cell on the other hand. Electro, mono rock 'n' roll, sixties' kitchen-sink angst, club classics? All their styles fit like a glove in my mind.
