      Reshuffle Boredom
I’m so bored of the newspapers (and blogs) being continually full of rumours/tips/gossip/whispers and just general crap being talked about the next Shadow Cabinet reshuffle. Can these journalists please get some real stories or shut the fuck up? Especially since they all seem to revolve around two main points: Ken Clarke coming in and back and [...]

      Provincial governor reshuffle
Despite all the current political chaos in Thailand, the annual reshuffle of the administrative posts was done as usual effective October 1st, the start of the new fiscal year. So far I only know that the governor of Chanthaburi, Prajuck Suvarnapakdee (ประจักษ์ สุวรรณภักดี), was reassigned to Nakhon Ratchasima, as that was changed in Wikipedia just recently.

      Gordo’s Cabinet Reshuffle
Gordon Brown has reshuffled his front bench, as he had to do after losing Ruth Kelly [you can see his first Cabinet here]. It has been described as an “economic war cabinet” to deal with the current economic situation, but seems like really very little important change - after all Alistair Darling remains as Chancellor. Lots [...]

It’s time to reshuffle SSC: experts
The dim role of the State Securities Commission (SSC) in rescuing the stock market has raised a question about whether the current model of SSC is suitable to the new circumstances. Small Reshuffle
I’ve done a bit of reshuffling on the blog, I’ve messed around with some of the code (tidying it up), added an advertising space (for more see here), added new bits and pieces and removed some redundant ones. I’ve been considering making a logo, but I haven’t the time right now, so I’ll probably get around to it during Christmas. What do ye think of my quicky advertise here button? Not bad for a few minutes in Photoshop (for someone who only knows a bit more than the basics!) Edit: Robert pointed out that the comment box was near on impossible to see, I’ve since edited the stylesheet to resolve this. Thanks Robert.

Cabinet reshuffle spurs hope of kick-starting stalled reforms
Indonesia's War on Corruption:What matters the most to the majority of Indonesians is a country free of corruption. Ranked among the world's most corrupt countries, Indonesia surely needs much stronger anti-graft measures to deal with even half of its problems. The sense of urgency is in the air that everywhere one goes in Indonesia people talk about ways of eradicating corruption in the country. In most cases, they want swift action that will curb power abuses and drag perpetrators to long overdue trial. Many Indonesians share the belief that they deserve to be prosperous given the country's talented human resource, immense natural resources and the size of territory, not to mention the numerous islands that are potential for world-class tourism. Alas! Affluence proves to be much more elusive than it has been popularly imagined. Eradication of graft and corruption in the country will then provide a firm foundation to a better life.Politically, the reshuffle might boost the administr

THE OTHER RESHUFFLE - PICKING THE NEW MILITARY CHIEF
While the nation is eagerly waiting for Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono to announce his limited cabinet shuffle, a no less important change could also be made in the new future -- some alterations to the Indonesian Military (TNI) leadership. Why is it no less important? The post of TNI chief is indeed a strategic one, although administratively the military is under the defense ministry. But politically the president has final say, upon receiving the recommendation of the House of Representatives, on who will be the next TNI chief. And if that is really the case, the most likely candidate for the post is current Army Chief of Staff Gen. Djoko Santoso, a 1975 graduate of the Military Academy.Among the candidates widely tipped to replace Santoso are the current chief of the Army's Strategic Reserves Command (Kostrad), Lt. Gen. Erwin Sudjono, a brother-in-law of President Yudhoyono and a 1975 graduate of the Military Academy, and incumbent Secretary General of the Defense Min

      Indonesian president promises "limited reshuffle"
Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono finally bowed to public pressures to make change in the cabinet members, saying Friday he would launch a "limited reshuffle." "I will announce the limited reshuffle in May or two weeks from now, God willing," the president told reporters after performing the Muslim Friday prayer at his office here. "I hope (the planned reshuffle) will yield positive result -- a more effective government which I lead -- because the challenges facing us ahead are bigger." It was a U-turn move by the Indonesian leader who said Sunday " we cannot have a Cabinet reshuffle once a year." Local media have speculated that Transportation Minister Hatta Radjasa was the most likely to lose his post following a series of deadly transport disasters since 2005. Other possibly targeted ministers included Justice and Human Rights Minister Hamid Awaluddin and State Secretary Yusril Ihza Mahendra who recently were under fire over using government's account to draw the mo

MPR chairman urges president to make up his mind about cabinet reshuffle
The chairman of the People`s Consultative Assembly (MPR), Hidayat Nur Wahid, urged President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono here on Monday to confirm whether or not he would reshuffle his cabinet."It would be better for the president to give the confirmation. If he would indeed conduct a reshuffle, just do it, but if he has no such plan, just say it straight away," he said.He said if the president has no such intention, he should say so, so that the present ministers would not be in constant uncertainty. He said if the president would really reshuffle his cabinet he wished it would not be carried out for fear or pressure from certain political parties to accommodate their demands."It must be done solely for improving the government`s performance in serving the interest of the people," he said.
