Blackberries, text messaging and instant messaging have resulted in a culture that worships speed at the expense of precision. I see this effect every day when people explain transactions to me that they wish to pursue only to leave out important details that they either had not considered or were in their head and did [...]

Financial writers are getting morbid with their prose. It’s like the time of real danger has passed, and we’re now sitting around the funeral pyre of the free market, talking about just how awry things are these days.
Take, for example, an opening to an article on Bloomberg: “The London-New York tug-of-war for bragging rights as [...]

by Nancy EbenPhuket, Thailand is the largest island in the country and Asia's most desirable island. It is rightly called as the 'Heaven on Earth' for its powdery, palm fringed beaches, wonderful coves and bays, and sparkling island-dotted seas. 'Pearl of the South' as Phuket is commonly referred to, is a unique mix of hustle and bustle, along with some great and awesome beauty. The island offers many different looks and feels to the visitors to discover and enjoy, but it all depends on which part of Phuket Island one is visiting. To get a taste of the famous and vibrant nightlife Patong Beach is the place, with all the noise and just about any thing one might care to treat oneself. By: David Johnson Isn't it funny how quickly technology that appears to be the latest and the highest can become rendered obsolete with the simple announcement of the advent of a higher level of technology? It happened to the horse and buggy when the first prototype motor vehicle was rolled out and it has happened even quicker to satellite systems that are currently installed in recreational vehicles.Mobile Dish is a satellite service that Dish Network now offers for mobile vehicles that does one thing that satellite TV services could never do before for the traveler. It delivers satellite TV programming with clear reception while the vehicle is rolling down the highway and this is something that RV owners and anyone else with a satellite system mounted in a moving vehicle have long been hoping for. Mobile Dish currently has one-hundred channels of programming that are available, with more planned on being added in the near future. Mobile Dish Does more than just bring satellite TV pr
Well, it finally happened. After being warned by the YouTube brownshirts that I had better cease uploading copyrighted material or face account deletion, they made good on their threat. Those of you who read this blog know that I would occasionally post entire scenes from mainstream films, then comment on what I felt made them great. First my clip from The Truman Show got bumped. Then it was Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Finally, my bit from October Sky sent management over the edge and they suspended my entire account. What bugs me about this whole process is how everyone who "offends" gets lumped into the same category. If anyone is falling into "fair use", it's me. I don't alter the clips in any way, showing them in their entirety for the purpose of comment and criticism. The law is supposed to allow me to do that. Unfortunately, I'd have to go to court to prove it, and in this case, that would just be a waste of time and money. This blog did get traffic from those clips
These are all pretty old, but I thought I’d share them around anyway. They’re really useful for tons of things, signatures probably being the most common, but also headers, banners, whatever really, you just have to be creative!
So, click the preview images below and you’ll be taken to the full-sized .png files, which you can copy onto your Photoshop canvas. (more…)
These are some renders from our mulit programme project... Its really just playing around at the moment, but keep watching and you will see the development of the model...
