I went into Video King the other day to rent Shoot 'Em Up and Rescue Dawn and I was somewhat surprised when I discovered a striking similarity. The box art and posters for Reign Over Me and Once are eerily similar in my opinion. I guess the only similarity is that it's the two main characters walking down a city street with nearly identically aligned text. I know the film industry is basically founded on the idea that imitation is the highest form of flattery and that nothing is really original anymore so this isn't really a big deal. Honda Motor Co.’s redesigned Fit compact car overtook Toyota Motor Corp.’s Corolla compact as Japan’s best-selling car model in November, ending a 13-month streak for the Corolla.
Honda more than doubled sales of the Fit to 18,138 cars, the Japan Automobile Dealers Association said in a release today. The carmaker introduced the revamped Fit on Oct. 26. Toyota’s Corolla took the second spot as sales fell 10 percent from a year earlier to 15,348.
Toyota claimed eight of the top 10 slots in last month’s sales rankings, excluding minicars. Nissan Motor Co., Japan’s third-largest automaker, took eighth place with the Serena minivan. Compact cars and minivans made up all of the top 10 models.
With minicars included, Suzuki Motor Corp.’s Wagon R was the second-bestselling model behind the Fit. Minicars are powered by engines no larger than 0.66 liters.
