However, do you think that these salaries are justified? To earn the NBA referee salary you have to officiate at NBA games and of course the job requires a intensive knowledge of basketball and the laws of the game.
But if you are an NBA referee you get to go to all the games and you are right next the star NBA players, something many people would pay to do, let alone be paid to do. Mind you…you are the one who has to be brave enough to tell people like Shaq to leave the court! (Where there is a danger you could be eaten)

Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs is a happy players right about now. NBA Referee Joey Crawford has been suspended indefinitely.Crawford is most known for his horrible temper which usually results in technical fouls being handed out as often as speeding tickets on I-80.Crawford was suspended for challenging Duncan to a fight while he was sitting on the bench after his first technical foul Sunday.
