Today at the Garth Brooks press conference it was confirmed that a newly-recorded single will be delivered to country radio on Aug 27, this will be part of a media promotion for his November 6th release of his new CD/DVD package named “The Ultimate Hits”.
During the press conference that Garth Brooks held at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Nashville, he confirmed the above and that the CDs will contain 30 of the most popular songs and four new recordings.
There will also be a DVD of 33 music videos and the package may be at a discount price of around $11-14.
Big Machine Records will be promoting Garth Brooks new music and Joe Mansfield will be the head of sales for the project.

To do this test I’ll find out what my IP address is and then at each hour of today from 10am to 4pm I will fire up IE6, go to the front page of this blog, navigate to August’s entries and then click on a predetermined, relatively little visited, blog entry. At that point I have visited the entry and the displayed URL will be for that entry. The URL will be copied to a spreadsheet containing the entry to be visited for each of the on-the-hour tests. I will then close IE6 and that test will be completed. At 11am I will repeat this process but for a blog entry for the month of September, and that URL will be copied to the s/s.
These tests will be repeated each hour till 4pm when a blog entry from February will be displayed. I will then let the dust settle and give the log files a
