Couple of things going on in our very own US of A brings newer facets of the plastic surgery profession to light. For instance, there is the fight to hang on to cosmetic surgery by a faithful few. Reuters reported ASDS studied trends that noticed the American economy instead of discouraging people from spending on cosmetic surgery (still a luxury for the masses), is doing just the oppo
TV in prison isn’t always a benefit. The Nurse is finding the news particularly irritating at the moment. Thankful for the opportunity to vent, she scribbles by the dim light of a crescent moon, her paper criss-crossed with shadows. In the next cell, someone weeps and gnaws at the bars…
More things that make The Nurse very, very cross. And [...]
Gore Vidal unattaches himself from the constraints of logic with this. "The president behaved like a virtual criminal but we didn't have the courage to sack him for fear of violating the American constitution," Vidal told the El Mundo newspaper "We live in a dictatorship. We have a fascist government ...which controls the media," he said. Really? If George Bush and Dick Chene

This is one of the better rants I have heard of out Tommy Lasorda, a man known for his many tangents. Apparently someone accused him of ordering his pitcher to intentially hit a batter on the other team. Lasorda clearly disagrees and uses his experiences as a pitcher to prove his point. The video is nothing, its just the easiest way to bring you the audio clip.
This is the name of the book that Gordon L. Johnson (leetupload webmaster) will release in the mid of June (this year). Althou I can’t write a review on it (dah!) I know this has nothing to do with hip hop, but I received an email yesterday and it has disturbed me to my core. This "Punk-Ass" man is ranting and raving about having "unprotected" sex with various woman mainly of Black and Spanish descent, and he is HIV positive. He feels because he drives a Jaguar, because he has diamonds and gold these women flock to him. He carries on to say that because a woman who didn't give a fuck infected him, now it's his turn to do the same. Please watch the video, listen to the list of names, hopefully it's no one you know. I have a message of my own for this bitch ass, if you don't care about infecting our daughters, sisters, and nieces why don't you take of your mask and your scully, let us see who you are? Bitch ass, your youngest victim is 15 years old an
Today’s post is just some random notes and rants on various topics, some funny, some not. It’s hit or miss without a humor muse, you know. (Is this excuse wearing thin yet?)

Rant One – a personal and mild one
I really get a kick out of writing this blog. I actually enjoy doing it as much as I enjoy selling real estate (yes, even in these times – you know, the end of days and all).
What I don’t like about it is, for example, the headline [...]
Alright, I have some stuff to get off of my chest - nothing major, just little rants that I think are semi-important... at least to someone out there! Here goes:I DO think that it is okay to kick Carly off of AMERICAN Idol, considering she is from Ireland. I loved her, I love her voice, I love her tattoos - but she is not American and therefore it would defeat the purpose. She should go on Ireland Idol - I'm sure they have it! I am SO sick of Elisabeth Hasslebeck talking about Rev. Wright as a reason not to put Obama in office. There are MANY other reasons we should be voting for Senator Clinton rather than Obama other than the fact he had a relationship with a preacher for 20 years. If you want a reason not to put Obama in office you can talk about his lack of experience in many areas such

We're now into the new year and candidates for both the Republicans and Democrats are starting to fall. Still no clear choice on either side, however........Barack Obama would do his suddenly-damaged campaign a lot of good if he was to finally address the chatter about his religion. Is he a Muslim or not? Post 9/11, we have a right to know that going in........The Manley Report on Canada's military mission in Afghanistan is a prime case of good news/bad news. It deflates the Liberals cut and run style 'pull-out' policy, but spotlights the lack of commitment by other NATO nations. I've been really busy to even have time to blog. Work lately has been driving me crazy. But I can't pass not to rant on this topic: the househelp.Last, last Thursday night, she told me that she needed to go to her mom in Malabon last Saturday night and she'll be back by Sunday lunch. Even though I told her before that I want a several days notice if she wants to have a day off, I didn't get mad when she asked for a permission to have a day off with such a short notice. I just told her that I don't like short notices if she wants to have a day off.Last Saturday, we went to Landmark. Dwyn was in the cart and the househelp was watching over him, while I was looking at some bread. Then, Dwyn cried and I heard a lady sort of screamed in surprise. So, I faced Dwyn and the househelp, imme
Kristin: Well, I can tell you this. They tried to make it sound like Sarah Wayne Callies who plays Sara on the show, that it was all her doing, she had a baby, she wanted to stay up in Canada… That’s a bunch of malarkey! Basically what happened is that, they decided they were gonna kill her off the show, 13 episodes in and they asked her to come back for 13 episodes to wrap up the storyline and she was like “Nahaaaaahnaaa, if you’re gonna kill me off the show, I’m not gonna come back and make it easy for you!”. So the story became “Sarah Wayne Callies won’t come back to the show.”. But, either way, they were going to kill her. So what they had to do is, they had only a shot of her, like a polaroid from a wardrobe shot and they used that shot as the head in the box. Because they didn’t have any photos of her, she wouldn’t clear anything, she was just like “Look, I’m not gonna help you kill me off the show.” Reporter: Is this show over? Kristin: Totally! Repor

I am posting this because I am not going to stay silent on this issue. Aunty Chan’s with her post “National Service - Someone answer me, what is the Government doing?” urged me to voice myself out! If you have followed my blog from my old home, Simple Life of YP till here, you should have known that I am not selected for National Service, a programme which is aimed to instil racial harmony and patriotism (I am patriotic!) but the “good programme” itself is creating history of participants around my age died because of not getting proper care over sickness and injuries.
All these news had brought worries to parents sending their children there. Some of my readers who have journeyed with Gardening Tips 'n Ideas would recall that this blog started off with a very different domain name. It's inception was as Gardening4Dummies.com.
Six months later, I was sent a very official email requesting me to abandon this name because it contravened applicable trademarks. I obliged even though a few bloggers recommended I fight it. The reason for my decision was because I never meant to use someone else's marketing efforts to quickly lift my rankings - I just hadn't thought the issue through.
Now it seems that Doug from Doug Green's Garden has had a similar brain freeze with his new Garden Rants. He's capitalising on a very successful garden blog with a similar name - our friends at Garden Rant.
Did you spot the subtle difference? Garden Rant: Garden Rants. I'll give you a heads up - it's the 's'.
Now I'm not sure what Doug, a very successful crusader in the online gardening scene, was thinking but I certainly hope he's pla

Transcript... with thanks to Mental Excretement"I'd like to start this week with a request, and this one goes out to the followers of the three Abrahamic religions: the Muslims, Christians, and Jews. It's just a little thing, really, but do you think that when you've finished smashing up the world and blowing each other to bits and demanding special privledges while you do it, do you think that maybe the rest of us could sort of have our planet back? I wouldn't ask, but I'm starting to think that there must be something written in the special books that each of you so enjoy referring to that it's ok to behave like special, petulent, pugnacious, pricks.Forgive the alliteration, but your persistent, power-mad punch-ups are pissing me off. It's mainly the extremists obviously, but not excllusively. It's a lot of 'main-streamers' as well. Let me give you an example of what I'm talking about.Muslims: listen up my bearded and veily friends! Calm down, ok? Stop blowing stuff up. No

It should come as no surprise to anyone that The Simpsons Movie is as hyped or anticipated as it is. After eighteen seasons, the show still pulls in decent and consistent ratings, and even though the quality of the show has fallen a bit by the wayside the past few years, it will still rule supreme as one of the most popular television series’ of all time. But with dodgy episodes as of late (and by late, I mean at least the last five years), the real question was whether or not the film would suffer.
Thankfully, it seems, the writers were waiting for something like this to truly let the show and its characters shine.
Curiously, the trailers are very cryptic as to what the film is actually about. I found out a few days before, and I think it ruined a few of the surprises that were in store. But for the most part, for all Simpsons fans young and old, be prepared for a treat.
Yes, the film does feel like an overextended episode, but not in the traditional sense. Wherea

Redneck Rants is another blog that delivers pretty much what its name promises. Unfortunately, that's not what most of our reviewers were in the market for. Redneck got decent scores for his clean blog design and a few reviewers liked his snarky conservative shtick, but most were unimpressed. It’s 150+ days, 17+ Hours and 2+ Minutes before Christmas, just thought maybe you’d want to know. This is certainly a Paradise Philippines Rant (Wouldn’t pass as a Paradise Philippines Joke no matter what happens.)
Anyways, I was browsing over Zippy’s pics on Flickr.com and I found a whole bunch of Fireworks-pics on there. I’m not sure if they were taken during Christmas, but they do evoke a very strong emotion (for me). Here in Paradise Philippines we have lots of celebrations and festivities year-round, but I can pick out Christmas and Valentines as the two most memorable celebrations in my one full year. Why? Well, I get rich during Christmas, from the dozen-or-so cash gifts from my uncles and aunts. And I go poor during Valentines, because I have to give a lot of lovely gifts to people.
I know some people would say that I shouldn’t really give too many gifts during Valentines. But my ten girlfriends want them, and I really can&rsquo

Its Friday today . Hooray, MTG night.
Peter and his son are coming around to get their ass kicked in some 2 headed giant action. Looking forward to this actually. I have my 3 revamped decks ready to go. I have a mono black deck that I’ve fixed up to have more powerful creatures and added in a lot of ‘madness’ creatures. Also grabbed a couple more “Assassinates” and a “Grim Harvest”. I’m looking forward to playing that alongside one of Dan’s decks seeing as he usually plays control decks. Now the original blue green ‘Saproling’ deck has now got a dragon (can’t remember which one lol) and some black mana, allowing for some surprises for the boys when they come over. I think it will work well if I can get the dragon out at some stage. The red green deck which has my “Akroma” in it has stayed the same, exchanging some of my burn cards for “Urza's Rage” and “Stone Rain”. I love des
I wonder how many Alberta P.C. supporters wish they had access to a time machine so they could change their leadership vote......The pic of the morphed Bill/Hillary generated some emails. Here's another one for you: ......Canadians are quickly turning against our involvement in the war in Afghanistan, thereby giving the terrorists an amazing boost to their morale......the battle over the new Equalization plan would have happened no matter the government......the magic of Father's Day is never truly clear until you are the father in question......why couldn't Sheila Copps be as astute as an M.P as she is as a columnist?......a void has been created in Alberta's political scene. Voters want a party to vote for, and none of the current ones have their confidence......which is, as predicted, yet another missed opportunity for Alberta separatists......The Democrats will win the White House in 2008, which will be the main reason why it will go back to the Republicans in 2112......a major
Monica's Rants: Travel: South Pacific:"BFTE Carnival"The trade show came to a close with a huge carnival set up on the Denarau Golf Course. Alcohol was flowing freely with the Fiji Malt House Brewery playing a starring role in my evening. The amount of food on the buffets was staggering, but the lighting was odd, so it was a little hard to tell exactly what I was eating.Pretty much all the delegates asked the same question of the carnival rides. “Do you think the safety certificates are up to date?” We didn’t care though and even though my foot broke a hole through the bottom of the “spinny” ride upon boarding, I still wasn't to be deterred. Maybe I was feeling extra daring, or maybe the Fiji beer gave me an extra shot of courage, but I was totally up for “spew fest” as my new pals called it.Speaking of new pals, here’s a photo of Allan and Terri of the Paradise Taveuni. Allan got his hands on a blinky ice cube and had great fun smiling a neon grin at unsuspecting pas
Oh wow.. I actually took a nap today. Wasn’t sure at first if I slept or lost time, but they all assure me that it was sleep. Which is good, because that’s what I remembered doing! Was so cold that I curled up on the couch with like four blankets, four pillows, and four stuffies. Just a coincidence that it happens to be four, across the board there. Then.. haha.. I slept till 4pm. I didn’t sleep four hours though, that kind of messes up the blog entry so we won’t add that in.
Feeling a lot better after waking up enough after the nap. Still really tired, but that was a good safe nap.
Thinking about another nap. Not sure if it’s just the last few weeks catching up to me or if I’m coming down with something. Everyone at the grocery store the other day was coughing and sneezing. Nearly passed out. Trying to get some boxes of pasta, there were several people on the aisle germing the place up. I try to keep my disgust to myself, but
Suddenly, the much anticipated Police Reunion Tour, is off to a really bad start. In fact, some rumors are circulating that the band may cancel the rest of the tour. Why? Apparently the members are fighting again. In a shocking and unprecedented posting on his blog, Police drummer Stewart Copeland called the band's second reunion show Wednesday night in Vancouver 'lame'."This is unbelievably lame," Copeland wrote in his blog of the show at the GM Place arena. "We are the mighty Police and we are totally at sea."Copeland also wrote that guitarist Andy Summer seemed to be somewhere "in Idaho" and that "the mighty Sting momentarily looks like a petulant pansy instead of the god of rock."Ouch.And these guys are going to tour together for the next two months? Maybe they'll get a visit from Dr. Phil. Is the band going to be able to complete the tour? Copeland has just kicked up the dirt again in a relationship that has been strained for years among the three members. The band is set to perf
This is Olbermanns latest screed anti Bush. Its pretty much just another eruption of BDS with a little invective at his fellow Democrats tossed in as an interesting twist. He is so playing to the nutroots with this rant. I can imagine them all squatting in their parents basements touching themselves while reading this foaming spew from Olbermann. You just know they are. It is just another case of Bush Derangement Syndrome at its very finest. I think a big part of the reason the left so hates President Bush is his "stubbornness". To him there are some things that are just wrong and he will never ever compromise on. But the left is willing to compromise on everything. Nothing is ever a fixed moral wrong to them. And when others, in this case President Bush, refuse to budge on an issue it shows them for the wishy washy "nothing is ever really wrong" group that they are. ~RJH MSNBC News story link The entire government has failed us on Iraq For the president, and th
When they tell you they want you to integrate into your new society they neglect to tell you that the help they offer comes at a snail’s pace! I would love to lay out €500 – 1000 or more for Dutch language classes so that I would actually have a better shot of getting a job but here we are. I looking for work and getting rejections because of my Dutch and the government saying integrate with no integration in sight! You just have to love how governments work. By going through the town of Hilversum for my integration I can have it cost me nothing or close to nothing for my classes. That also means I will be certified in my new language and a certificate to prove as much. This would greatly improve my chances of work. The government is so good at saying we have to do this and we have to do that as expats yet are, for some reason, unable to give us that which they say we need! Why is that? Now I know it does not matter that this is the Dutch government, this could be the US gove
Hehe, I stayed until 3:00 am in the morning this weekend just so I could finish reading a book called Flyte by Angie Sage. It’s soooo green and preeeetty! And I feel as if I’ve bonded with the characters with this book. Now I must search for the third book, Physik, which is, unfortunately, not in my local library. Go read this series if you like fantasy books and have the time.

Let's start off this round with an obvious topic. The latest rash of random gun violence in the United States has set off the anti-gun crowd once again. In Canada, we have had our share of nutjobs who decide to shoot up universities. And, like in the U.S., we are debating and focusing on the wrong issue. While the pro-gun control crowd labels anyone who doesn't support their views as 'in bed with the NRA' and, as one witness of the Montreal incident last fall stated: "...as guilty as the killer...", they cling to the pipe dream that some sort of 'ban' will eliminate the threat of this happening. Because, as we all know, potential criminals are going to be first in line to register their guns, right? The brutal truth is, if there had been a few teachers/administrators/students in Virginia that had access to a weapon, some lives could have been saved.....Moving on............there was a time when G.Q. magazine had true substance and style. Now, it's just another liberal pub

I have to say that I have several pet peeves most of which have to do with the way people drive. However, another pet peeve of mine is the way that some people make light of ACE and it's effects on daily living. It's not uncommon to hear someone who is having a chaotic day to say I am so ADD today. Sorry folks, much like paralysis or blindness, ACE is not a once in a while condition. It's an every day, every moment event, and your comments only prove how ignorant you are about it's impact on our lives and the those of our friends and family. When you say things like this, it diminishes us. It reduces our condition to a joke. Please, please, please educate yourselves on ACE. Very likely, someone very close to you has ACE and because of comments like yours, suffers in silence because they are ashamed they will be ridiculed. Thank you for listening to my rant of the moment.
Microsoft gets hold of Medstory. Microsoft (MSFT) is purchasing Medstory Inc., a health search engine. Medstory enables users to search complex health and medical related topics on the web intelligently. Some noteworthy features about Medstory is their ability to filter out non-health results, provide effective granularity, allow audio & video search and their killer app. Medstory's approach is to not only provide a list of web pages but to synthesize the meaning of every user search in the context of health and medicine, and then share this knowledge with the user to help refine and guide their search.Medstory will become the second acquisition for Microsoft's Health Solutions Group, which bought Azyxxi, a maker of healthcare software that displays patient information last year.Rant: There seems to be an increasing demand for online healthcare information driven by aging baby boomers. Filtering out non health-related searches makes getting the right information that much ea
Blogging is the latest internet craze and it may turn out to be just that and killed off if the avalanche of misinformation continues. One is amazed at how an excellent online medium is promoted for all the wrong reasons. Now here are some strange concepts promoted about blogs.'blog on about the sex life of the Tasmanian fruit fly and still reap big rewards' (I would certainly like to know if anyone can tell me)"Turn Your Personal Opinions, Rants And Raves Into New Subscribers?"There are hundreds of articles on blogging, promoting a concept of raving and ranting on web space by anyone who wants to have the voyeuristic pleasure of making their maniacal moaning public. What is the purpose of promoting such a concept is something beyond the comprehension of any intelligent person.Blogs undoubtedly remain the best innovation since the beginnings of internet, putting a web page within the reach of an average person, who has no technical knowledge of web page creation. Anyone can easily cre

So how does crosstraining as your sole skill qualify you to teach belly dance? That's my question.
I have lots of training in lots of things that help me to be a better teacher. I am musically trained. I can read music, sight read, I was in chorus and can play the piano, violin, and clarinet. That certainly has helped me with musicality, but that alone does not make me a belly dancer much less a teacher.
I was in marching band and drill team in high school. That helped me tremendously with choreography spacing, timing, and working with a group, but that also doesn't make me a belly dancer or teacher.
If you want to look more directly at dance experience, I do salsa, merengue, bachata, samba, hula, Tahitian, club dancing, and took ballet as a kid and one class as an adult, but that also doesn't make me a belly dancer. It could even make me worse as a belly dancer if I can't get my head out of those movement styles and postures.
So my question is, why do people who have done related
Somehow, I have this want to help but now, I’m not sure if I should. If I help him, either I’d simply have a good time and perhaps really be his friend or I’d be involved in the vengeance he has stored for someone he can’t forgive. If I don’t help him, I’m not sure of what will happen both to him and to me. All I can be certain is that his state could get worse.*.*~+~+~+~When you don’t know what to do, things sometimes go wrong. When you don’t know where you stand, you won’t know whether you’re sinking in the quicksand or on the line of fire.~+~+~+~I don’t want to cuss or hurt somebody that’s why you don’t see me backstabbing or saying stuff about other people. But the fact that everyone else is doing it is tempting me. Even more of a but is that if I do gossip, people would target me and blame me over and over. You, scheming conniving progeny of lactating canines!!!~+~+~+~There is a growing need for the establishment of more mental institutions in this country. I know I haven't posted much here recently -- a bit of writer's block. In the meantime, while I recharge, have you read any of my Technology Rants yet? No? Why not? I'm famous for them. OK, maybe not famous, but a patient in a mental health facility in Brooklyn once emailed me to say she liked them somewhat. Who knows, you might enjoy them too. You can get to them from the menu bar on the left side of your screen.
Welcome to my latest project. My name is SeanMC, or Sean Crowe to those of you who know me personally. I used to run sportsfanatics.net, which was a rather successful little sports fan site. I also wrote for Rivals.com before they sold out and did some work with NFLFans.net.For those of you who’ve never heard of me, my writing style is similar to the people I grew up reading, like ESPN's Bill Simmons (from his Digital City Boston days) and Dan Shaughnessy before he went catatonic and was replaced by a random negative article regurgitating robot.I’m a shameless Red Sox fan. I’m an even more shameless Patriots fan. I’ve been called an apologist for both at one time or another. Look, if 10 – 6 with a playoff win is considered a bad season, or if you make it to the playoffs 3 years in a row winning the World Series once, then you’re obviously doing something right.I don’t understand the negativity towards the Patriots and the Red Sox (feel free to go after the Celtics or that

Despite what the C.B.C. would have you believe, support for the Kyoto Accord isn't what it used to be. It seems the more people become educated about the issue, the more support for it dips........By the time the next federal election campaign comes around, Prime Minister Harper's biggest concern might not be how to get votes in Quebec, but how to keep votes in Alberta........As whispers of a new federal raid on Alberta's economy grow stronger, I'm starting to think Ted Morton should have been made Premier Stelmach's Intergovernmental Affairs Minister..........Message to Nelly Furtado: you're no longer distinguishable from the usual poptarts on the radio. Finally! I get to rant about the "party" I attended about four of days ago. It's a surprise I could hold it in for this long! Before I begin, this might seem a long post. But trust me, I've made it as humorous as possible. It's a good read (atleast I think so). So don't get all "oh man this is long" and read on. So with that said, let me get to the gory details. We (My dad and I) were to go there in a rental car. A boxy rental car, actually. One with uncomfortable leg space. Well, any car I get in has bad leg space, 'cause I'm an unusually tall guy. Add to that, a little heavy traffic. One that won't move an inch for half an hour. Enough to make my crotch all wrinkly and painful. You would imagine traffic can be fun, given that there are a few hotties around in the nearby vehicles. That's a negative as well. I only find in front of me, 20 teenagers packed into the back of a mini truck, five of them sitting on the edge. And it's very difficult to look around for chicks, with al
With Harper's personal approval rating going up and up, could the image of Canada as a natural leftwing nation be changing?........The Liberal dominated Senate continues to stall on the question of reforming the Upper Chamber. Selfish politics at it's pettiest........Surprising potential allies in the Equalization fight: Alberta P.C. Premier Stelmach and Saskatchewan N.D.P. A lot of readers have asked for the inside dope on legendary columnist Brock "fuck the double-nickel" Yates' disappearance from TTAC. And I'm not going to tell you. But I gotta say I was really looking forward to posting Peter DeLorenzo's weekly rants on this website. But when I gave TTAC's Best and Brightest (B&B) the heads up, the self-styled Autoextremist took umbrage at my characterization of our, uh, arrangement as an, um, "arrangement." He was especially not happy with my suggestion that he could or would respond to the B&B's comments to his work. So I modified the post to reflect Peter's understanding of our, uh, thingie. Once again, Sweet Pete was sweet. And then, despite his contention that he didn't have time to read comments, h
