During winter the coldest room in the house is usually the bathroom, there is an easy and surprisingly inexpensive way to make winter more comfortable and luxurious. Consider exchanging your standard towel rails for heated towel warmers (should read "rails"); if placed on a heated towel rail before a shower or bath a dry towel provides that added comfort of being warm and inviting on an icy winter morning. Operating a heated towel rail is little more effort than running a lamp, the heated towel rails are either connected directly into the heating system or can be run independently using electricity.Leading manufacturers of heated towel rails, Bathroom Butler, realised that a one-size-fits-all approach was not appropriate and have designed five heated towel rail collections to suit the dive

Charlie has been riding the rails off and on for nearly twenty years and has no intention of stopping anytime soon. An educated man full of secrets, Charlie looks like he was lifted straight out of a Kerouac novel. He can be seen wandering the streets of small towns and hamlets wearing a dark brown tweed jacket, slightly oil-stained jeans and a dark blue button-up shirt. The only reason one would suspect he has no home is because of the graying beard that hangs long and ragged off of his chin, which he calls his “soup catcher”. “I’m not sure how many years I have left,” he responds when asked about his time on the rails, “The winters are long but the summers are bliss.” Charlie pauses in thought and glances at the multi-colored leaves that mark the end of his s
So, the idea came when I saw James Golick’s excelent resource_controller plugin. It does what I always thought should be part of Rails itself: it made Restful Controller as easy to use and understand as ActiveRecord originally does for Models and the database.
This screencast is a quick rendition to this plugin and how to use to leverage the power of Restful controller in your applications. This is one of those great ideas that – who knows – could find its place in the Rails Core one day, the same way Sexy Migrations did.
The concept is that now that we treat a controller’s action in a standardized way (through the abstraction of HTTP verbs) it could perfectly be refactored away from the day-to-day development. So, instead of scaffold creating a bunch of repeated co
