By LanceOK, so how many of you have been in a discussion with a Christian and you get so some point where their religion simply does not makes any sense? Oh, of course; like all the time. Things such as, how could a good and loving god send his children to eternal torment? Or, how could a loving god order his chosen people to commit genocide on a regular basis? Or to flip it around, how could a
Sent in by PretzelI was raised by a mildly Christian mother and an agnostic father. My dad never talked about religion at all. My mom, on the other hand, told me when I was a kid about Heaven, Hell, God, Jesus, etc. But we didn't go to church or anything.I only went to Sunday School during the summer of one year, I think, maybe between second and third grade? I forget. It was rather uneventful.I r
Once again, Obama is whining that McCain (or anyone else for that matter) would ever question his character or patriotism. After the Rev. Wright scandal, his association with far-left and radical anti-Israel people, and his lack of any real accomplishments or contributions to his country, one would be rather dim to not question his character and patriotism.

This James Kirchick piece has attracted a fair amount of attention the last day or two. In it, he essentially argues that despite conventional wisdom on the Left, Obama has been complicit in far more "smears" than John McCain. The piece is, to put it bluntly, silly. Frankly, any debate over who "smears" who more is beyond trivial, and is a particularly strong example of how dumbed-down politics
Everyone seemed to really like it that Porter asked so many questions that I lost my cool.

I have returned from what my father refers to as God’s country and most other people refer to as Wisconsin. I am now a married man, which makes me very happy, but at the same time it’s still a bit odd to think that I have a wife. It’s also weird to think that I’m [...]

As the Henshall hearing at the GMC appears to be delayed, we should take sometime out to examine the credibility of the complainants. No one believed the Henshall's " Memory Lapse" defence when they paraded it in front of the GMC in their hopeless case against Keith Prowse. The aim of bringing the complaint was to silence Dr Prowse. Their lawyers did their best at damage limitation but when they have held that the consent forms were forged from 1992 onwards then suddenly " develop a memory lapse about actually signing it", the Henshalls cannot blame us when we look at them narrowly. We don't believe the Henshalls. I doubt that any member of the reasonable public will believe the Henshalls. Secondly, there is no point in attempting to tug at the public heart strings because the case involve

These are the questions raised by the movie “Expelled”, narrated by Ben Stein. You can take a look at a trailer for the movie at the site linked below.

Questioning Techniques
Letâs look at some specific questioning techniques. You have a couple of kinds of questions you can ask; and if youâve done any sales studying before, you know what they are. And Iâm going to repeat them because they are worth repeating.
There are open-end questions. Any question thatâs going to be answered by an explanation is an open-ended question. You want to ask as many of these as you can in the discovery phase. You want to ask as many of these as you can while youâre building agreement because you want to know as much as you can so you can know which way to take this prospect down the road to creating urgency and going for the close.
Youâre also going to ask some close-ended questions, too. These are questions that are answered âyesâ or âno.â You need to ask these when you need specific information, when you need that prospect to make a clear decision about one option or another. Itâ

We have come here to be in alignment with the source principle in our hearts. For so many of us however we find ourselves awakening to the realization that we have been taught by parents and this culture to forget the way we feel and yield our creative and powerful inner truth to a society [...]

By Hank EdsonThe old bumper sticker, “Question Authority!” was good advice we seem to have abandoned about the time George Orwellian Bush took his oath of office. Or perhaps, we let go of it before that, say, when we accepted the Supreme Court’s authority to dispense with the need to count votes in Florida in 2000. In truth, this bumper sticker was worn away bit by bit over the last three decades by a Republican Party hard at work furthering goals that were ultimately authoritarian: Big Business’s economic monopolism, the Religious Right’s infallible religious orthodoxy, and the Neo-Conservative’s military unilateralism. Little by little, our reminder to question these things got stripped from the car we were following, and for some reason it’s message didn’t stick where it mattered most: our consciousness. It didn’t stick because, as good as its advice is, “Question Authority” is only halfway down the road to wisdom. Willie could and should have won the fight. “Khan can win one of the lesser titles, but I more…

Over the past couple years I've noticed a reoccurring topic come up in parenting blogs and message boards concerning ADD and ADHD. Usually it's a parent talks about their child, lists some symptoms and frustrations they are having and asks for advice of the other parents reading the website or message board. That is only the start of what could and can be a long drawn out process of finding
Sharpton Denies Questioning Romney Faith - My Way/APExcerpt:"The Rev. Al Sharpton, who recently urged that radio host Don Imus be fired for making a racially insensitive remark, said in a debate that "those of us who believe in God" will defeat Republican Mitt Romney for the White House. But Sharpton denied he was questioning the Mormon's own belief in God.Rather, the New York Democrat said he was contrasting himself with Christopher Hitchens, the atheist author he was debating at the time."http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070509/D8P0I52O0.htmlAlex

Watching the trail on TV, Phil Spector looks sickly and nervous, and his hands never stop moving. One of the women he dated is being questioned today, and has painted a picture of the producer as a violent, menacing drunk.
Photo by Andrew Harnik/Examiner)Gerald Norde, 60, was hired last fall to teach high school Spanish to the students at Young America Works Public Charter School, one of Washington’s newest charter schools. Day after day, he noticed the attendance sheets in his classes listed students he’d never seen — or who had long since dropped out.“I’ve asked my students, ‘Who are these people?’ No one knows,” Norde said. “I talked to other teachers and they said they have the same problem.”Earlier this month, Norde asked Young America’s registrar what was happening. Two weeks later, he was fired.Like all other charter schools in the District of Columbia, Young America is paid per pupil. Norde’s discovery raises questions about the integrity of a system that sends $300 million in public dollars to the 55 charter schools in the city. This from Examiner.com.

I saw an advertisement in USA Today a few days ago for a high definition plasma television... You know, one of those ridiculously expensive (but very cool) tv's. Anyway, it said there was a $200 instant rebate that would be paid at the register. From my understanding, this meant that you paid the $200 and were then given $200 in some form, most likely a credit on the credit card you just used. I could be wrong on the mechanics, but this is not the point. This led me to question the purpose of rebates in general. Take the standard rebate, where you buy something and then mail in for a rebate that you (presumably) receive 8 weeks later. Now these, I understand. Or, at the very least, I can come up with a rational explanation for their existence. The company selling the product gets to keep your money for two months and earn interest on it. Very simple. The customer is still happy because they are "paying less" in the long run. Everybody likes a discount. But this instant rebate
Hey guys, look at them
what the doggies are asking the kitty to do?? Maybe telling her to open the door....Each of you put up a question that the dogs can ask the kitty and put them in the form of comments. Lets see whose question stands out as the best.

When I found out I was pregnant with Ava, Cameron was only three months old. She was a total surprise. I thought to myself, am I going to be able to do this? Of course! If the baby's anything like Cameron, it will be a breeze! However, I am still scratching my head wondering how two human beings from the same genetic makeup can be so totally different. For example, Cameron always liked being in the car while Ava does not like being strapped in anywhere - especially her car seat. Cameron would take two to three hour naps at a time while Ava would only sleep for a half hour, sometimes less. We were so proud of ourselves and told everyone how Cameron was such an easy baby. People would ask us how he was and we'd say, Oh he's so easy going and doesn't fuss much. Their immediate reply was, Wait until you have another! Well, it wasn't too long before we had another and Ava came into this world with a bang. She definitely knows what she wants or doesn't want and will let you know it. My
