As a result, unavailability combined with rising world demand and disrupted/poor output after the gas tax holiday most likely will cause prices to riseThe gas tax provides money to maintain America’s fragile and crumbling transportation infrastructure so summer driving provides much needed funds for America's transportation infrastructureThe idea of a gas tax holiday illustrates how out of touch Clinton and McCain are with energy and environmental issues. Chiranjeevi proposed his party's name "Telugu Velugu"
Is Megastar Chiranjeevi following the footsteps of Telugu Desam Party founder and former chief minister late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao? Analysts say 'yes'. N T Rama Rao formed Telugu Desam Party and he spread the message of `Telugu pride' nation wide. On the same lines, Chiranjeevi is also said to be thinking on the same lines of NTR by naming his much awaited political party as "Telugu Velugu". Like the NTR's TDP, Chiranjeevi also wants to include the word Telugu in his party, sources said.Infact, Chiranjeevi proposed his party's name "Telugu Velugu" to propagate that he would bring in `velugu' (light) into the lives of Telugu people.Meanwhile, several politicians like Kotagiri Vidhyadhara Rao from TDP, Dr D L Ravindra Reddy from Congress and others are sending feelers to Chiranjeevi sign

The City's proposed Formula Business Ordinance would greatly affect property owners. Are you for it?
I like our free enterprise system and I hope you do, too!  However, there is a proposed ordinance lurking out there and if adopted, it would handcuff business and property owners in a new proposed DOWNTOWN SHOPPING DISTRICT.   This district would run along Main Street from approximately Elk to Acorn and San Antonio to Austin Streets (See map below).  Imagine just for a moment that you could not sell your property to a new formula store or “chain store” coming to town and reap the maximum market value.  It would be okay, however, to sell to an individual or “mom and pop” store, but chances are that it would be for less money.  The same circumstances might occur in a lease situation.  The fact that it would be more profi

Feds proposed mortgage rules to protect borrowers
All the mortgage rules proposed are good ones. Unfortunately they come 20 or more years to late. Congress is still doing nothing to help the people that lost their homes already or the thousands of people that are homeless because their landlord’s property got foreclosed on. The people in need now should be an immediate concern to congress and work on the future people after. Our state representatives are turning a “FEMA” blind eye on the people in need therefore, not doing their jobs. Reuters Current Events, news

Proposed Hi Rise Condo At 6th and Sahara ?
We got a mysterious flyer about a project for the corner of 6th and Sahara. They’re doing a preview of it on Wednesday 12/12 from 4 to 7 pm at the Reformation Lutheran Church at 580 E. St. Louis. I thought it was going to be about the “fly away” that’s been proposed for 7th and Sahara, but rumor now has it that its for a HiRise Condo Complex to be built on the Marie Calandar/Tony Roma lot at 6th and Sahara. If you’ve got 2 cents on this subject, then we’d better start throwing it in to the pot now. I’ll be going to check it out, and will report back as soon as I know anything concrete. Share This

Local developer, Flow Metro, has two parcels of land under contract on Englewood, just west of Boulevard with a northern border which runs right along the proposed Beltline. This 10 acre piece of land is currently occupied by out-dated industrial buildings. Maryland REALTORS helped defeat proposed taxes
Would it surprise you to learn that some tax increases proposed by Martin O’Malley failed to pass during the recent Special Legislative Session?  Although the 20% sales tax increase, from 5% to 6%, did pass – along with the return of slot machines to Maryland for the first time since 1968 – some of O’Malley’s proposals were successfully blocked. You can thank the very effective Maryland Association of Realtors (MAR) for their leadership in helping to defeat the following proposed taxes, which would have impacted you, the consumer:  1.  TAX ON SERVICES:  The proposed tax on real estate property management services was removed from the final bill.  This is considered a huge victory because the tax was seen as a “trial balloon” for a far-reaching tax-on-services bill, ultimately taxing consumers on ALL real estate commissions and fees.  2.  GREEN FUND:  Real estate was re

Happy Thanksgiving: A Proposed Constitutional Amendment
The following article was submitted to me from a reader in Arizona after he saw some of my statements over in the Jihad Watch comments sections concerning my dedication to the notion of amending the U.S. Constitution and, more specifically, the First Amendment. This is a subject I first discussed in any real detail in an article titled: The Threat Worse than Islamic Terrorism. Before anyone reacts from the gut on this, read this proposal carefully. This in no way strips anyone of religious freedoms that actually follows a peaceful religion, but Islam itself does not fit into this category and must be opposed. This idea, along with my other proposal of boycott, can do much to stop the Islamic Glacier and Sharia Creep. The following words were first posted over at Pedestrian Infidel, but since the author has found it very difficult to have these ideas reposted on other blogs, I’ll do my part today. I was impressed by the structure of this article, it being so close to my ow

Proposed Textbooks Rife With Errors…What Is The Real Root Cause?
Perhaps this is the real reason Speaker Tom Craddick is having such a hard time finding workers to staff the new Midland Cracker Barrel eateries: Proposed math books for elementary school children and their teachers have resulted in one computation that publishers would just as soon erase – 109,263.That’s the number of errors that were uncovered in proposed math textbooks that are under review by the State Board of Education for distribution to schools in the fall of 2008. There is no excuse for this kind of error rate–even in draft text books. However, I believe there is something significant in play when it comes to all of the problems with Texas’ textbooks: Publishers are too busy trying to make sure there is enough abstinence education, morals education, Jesus, and creation theory in textbooks to actually worry about accuracy. Let’s face it: the State Board of Education has, in the last decade, been far more concerned with depictions of homosexuality, s

Windows 7 - Proposed Feature List Leaked
Microsoft about a year ago started collecting a wish list form asking people what features they would like to see in the next version of Windows, currently code-named Windows 7. The top features in this list were recently leaked to the public. The features are listed in no particular order, but they break down into various categories depending on what part of Windows the feature request falls under. Many requests for improvements in Internet Explorer, such as a session restore function, are fairly obvious wishes for features that already exist in competitive products such as Firefox and Opera. Other suggestions, such as a tabbed Windows Explorer, look for features from web browsers to migrate into the general user interface. Also a built-in video and audio codec manager which is much needed in windows vista media player 11.For the Complete list see the following here . The feedback program that collected this list is Microsoft’s means of getting user suggestions for the Windows devel

Does The Proposed Property Tax Cut Help You
We there problems with the original tax cut proposal. Most would say yes, It did not address commercial real estate. Some people though it was confusing. Apparently the courts thought is was unclear. I believe it would have been a step in the right direction. I think most people would have to agree that Florida’s real estate tax laws were OK until 2004 when prices and assessments were on a steep incline. People who have purchased a home in the last 3 years are being punished for sold and upsized or down sized. Oh and if you’ve relocated and purchased a home “WELCOME TO FLORIDA”… Please don’t ask your neighbor what their taxes are.  I believe Charlie Crist Is an excellent Governor for the state of Florida. He is working hard to improve many things in our state. However, I truly don’t see how doubling the homestead exemption can possibly help the homeowners burdened with the highest and most unfair property taxes. When

Proposed Opinion OKs Outsourcing Work to Foreign Lands
Continuing the disturbing trend of outsourcing work to foreign countries, the Florida Bar Association is in the process of issuing an offcial opinion giving the thumbs-up to outsourcing legal work outside the U.S.Most disturbing is that the sanctioned outsourced services are paralegal services. There is no mention of how outsourcing paralegal services can harm the client; just how, if the services are outsourced, they should be limited to paralegal services.

Did I Read That A Proposed Solution To Global Warming Is To Drop A Few Nuclear Bombs Somewhere?
The other day, I could have sworn I read something somewhere about George Bush holding onto a last-ditch effort to "fix" global warming by detonating nuclear weapons at precise locations. Maybe out in the ocean somewhere? Where did I read this? I can't find it on the net... Maybe someone knows where this story is, or if it even exists? If we bombed the ocean, what would that do? Nuclear weapons are hot, so it would release energy that would heat up the immediate area. More global warming?Maybe the idea was to disrupt some ocean currents so that instead of moving in a "heating" pattern, they adjust to a "cooling" pattern. That could work -- maybe.I don't know...Maybe I made the story up and forgot that its roots were in the Land of Imagination. But I could have sworn I read it somewhere! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Proposed Change to Address Requirements for Automation, Presorted & Carrier Route Letters
This is a change that the USPS is proposing that may affect many mailers. It deals primarily with type size and spacing requirements for printing a delivery address on a letter-sized mail piece. Here is what the USPS says about the changes:We are proposing revisions to the address standards for letter-size pieces mailed at automation, presorted, or carrier route rates. Under the new standards, all letters mailed at discount rates must be addressed using a minimum of 8–point type. In addition, for automation rate letters, the lines and the characters in the address must not touch or overlap, and each element on the address line may be separated by no more than three blank character spaces. These changes probably won't effect most mailers, but it is something to be aware of in the future.
