I have been able to stick to it because I have made exercise a part of my unwinding and relaxing time. Now I look at it as time just for me to do what I want to do and not what I have to do. I signed up for the BBC’s iPlayer beta software, which allows you to watch some of their TV programs online from the last 7 days. Doesn’t work on Vista, no change there then. Tried it on the XP machine and it only downloads the software, after you have logged in, when you have selected a program to watch. The first time I tried it, it came up with a message that I couldn’t use it as it needed Windows XP, Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player. I had the first two, but Media Player hadn’t been setup. Well it had been ages ago but I had so many problems with it that I uninstalled it. So I installed Media Player and rebooted. Tried again with the same result. It’s still convinced I haven’t all of the three required programs, well an operating system and two applications. As a teacher, I often encounter these well-intentioned and children-loving, but naive persons. I've met several teachers, for instance, who think that the government should provide trips to the beach (I live in Los Angeles) because "It's a shame that some kids don't get to go." "Well, probably most of the world, including most Americans in the mid-West, don't get to go the beach. Are they all deprived? And how will the beach make them any better people?" I remember thinking. One might as well say, "I really like my new Nikes. They help me run better. If everybody had some, everybody would run better. They should be given to everybody." or "I read in Men's Health that whole grains are better for you. This month’s issue of Inside Counsel features the results of its recent general counsel survey where, among other questions, counsel was asked to rank the most important factors in hiring outside counsel (PDF; page 5). Unsurprisingly, ‘quality of work’ and ‘responsiveness’ were both top-ranked, with ‘creative solutions’ and ‘billing rates’ not falling far behind. What was surprising to us, however, is how low ‘diversity program’ ranked in survey results. I’m fully aware that the title for this blog — Website Design Blog — isn’t all that amazing, original, or catchy. I was surprised to see the kinds of hits I was receiving after checking my WordPress stats, and peeked into some of the bigger search engines to get an idea of what’s what. Lets take the term website design blog for example. For that search term alone I’m ranked 12th on Google, 12th on Altavista, and a whopping 5th on Yahoo!. Thats amazing for a PageRank 0 blog thats still so new you can still smell the freshness. I rank well for similar search terms too, and its already generating some nice traffic for me. Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has revised the lending norms for priority sector, allowing banks to include direct finance to corporates for agriculture and allied activity of up to Rs1 crore as priority sector (PSL) exposure as against the earlier limit of Rs20 lakh.Home loans up to Rs20 lakh (excluding loans granted to by banks to their own employees), will also now qualify to be classified under priority sector advances compared to the earlier limit of Rs15 lakh।Besides, loans given for repairs to damaged houses of families up to Rs1 lakh in rural and semi-urban areas and up to Rs2 lakh in urban and metropolitan areas would also be included as priority sector advances, it said।The central bank, while maintaining the overall priority sector lending limit to 40 per cent, has also increased the lending cap for educational loans to Rs10 lakh for studies in India and Rs20 lakh for studies abroad.
