Placebo gehört eigentlich zu den Bands die mir in den letzten Jahren mit eigenem Stil und Sound, positiv aufgefallen sind. Der Sänger hat eine markante, eigene und wiedererkennungfähige Stimme, welche mich mit ihrem Musikstil, an eine gewisse Musikrichtung, Ende der 80er und Anfang der 90er erinnert. Auch wenn Placebo wohl nicht Slidetones Geschmack zu sein scheinen, so beschreibt er dessen Richtung schon gar nicht mal schlecht mit The Cure, wobei ich sein Bon Jovi, da aber doch etwas ausklammern möchte. Aber nicht jeder kann Placebo mögen. Heute bezeichnet man diese Musikichtung als Alternative- bzw. Indie-Rock. Nach dem ich Placebo die ersten male gehört hatte und sogar im Video "The Bigtter End" gesehen hatte, dachte ich, es handelt sich bei dieser Stimme und Person um eine Frau. Erst später und mit der Zeit, kamen mir so langsam aber sicher, berechtigte Zweifel Heute bin ich mir sicher, dass der Sänger Brian Molko von Placebo, ein Typ ist. So etwas wird wohl Neudeutsch
