So Samir Nasri has signed for Arsenal. I had a VERY odd night! FIRST I went to bed at 10:00pm. My friends who read this blog just fainted. I have a big problem with staying up late till 1am or lately even later. But I’ve been working on it. BOOM. Progress.

Mercedes-Benz is due to start selling the next iteration of its popular CLK coupe-convertible later this year or in the beginning of 2009. So it's absolutely normal that sales are starting to stall and the company just have to offer some special edition version of the car to draw some public attention. Here comes the Mercedes-Benz CLK Grand Edition. The CLK Grand Edition is just another special tri
We are entering times of probably radical changes and we fear it. We fear for what our kids will go through. We imagine dreadful scenarios. We fear what we don't know. We fear the dark. How nice it would be to be a cat, peacefully napping away in the day without any worries whatsoever, and at night happily exploring the dark with glowing yellow eyes.
Obviously Apple has the high ground and control in telling the likes of AT&T what they can and can’t do or what price they should be charging for the present generation Apple iPhone, however, apparently the 3G Apple iPhone (when it arrives) may just usher in a new era of carrier based Apple iPhone pricing.

Apparently, telling the enemy that he could not have my faith did something to me. Perhaps I should’ve done that a while ago, but I awoke this morning with a new attitude and it was a good day.
I dropped the kids off with their science fair projects and I was proud of them as I looked at the other display boards that were not quite as good as theirs. Pride? Yes.

A couple of days ago I drew your attention to a seminar to launch a report by Editorial Intelligence called "The Power of the Commentariat". Or rather, they have launched half of it and expect the public to buy the rest from Amazon.
It's an interesting document and I'd like to do a review of the whole thing. I have asked Editorial Intelligence for a review copy of the whole document. If one is no
As you can see we just obtained a very exquisite example of Imperial China Glassware. The Cut glass style is labeled IC in the bottom of the bowl which is chip free. Measures 8" in diameter and 3" tall. Our listing can be found here
This Particular piece isn't your usual red Imperial Glassware though. It has an irridescent gold pattern to the base which seems very unique to us. Anyone out there know of a pattern name for this?
Every human is equal in one thing. Each day we all have the same amount of time. How we choose to spend that time determines, in large measure, the quality of our lives. In today’s busy world, many of us have to fight to find the time to do the things that matter.

Was not worth all the energy it caused me to exert. The Boy is just that. A little boy.I spent an ungodly amount of money getting my hair cut and styled, hurrying after school to get myself to the hairdresser's (without the aid of parents or a car - I had to take the train and walk, and get there in under fifteen minutes), waiting even longer while she attempted to fix the complete mess she'd made of my fringe, then having scarcely ten minutes left once I got home to put on my dress and do my make up before rushing to (da-da-da-DUM) The Lad's house for the pre-drinks.I arrived late despite my efforts and stood tentatively on the front step of his big, beautiful house, ringing the doorbell and wondering why no one would come and receive me. The door was open and I could hear talking and laug
It is interesting the way things change with time. Wheat has been known as the staff of life. Keeping company with wheat is corn and rice. Altogether these crops help to give sustenance to the worlds population. Now we are turning to these same crops to help break our dependence on oil. Thanks to this and increased development in China and India the price of these staples have skyrocketed. In turn, we have witnessed double digit inflation in grocery prices recently.Enter the potato. I read an article on Reuters about potatoes last night. It seems that people are rediscovering the benefits of potatoes, but thus far speculators in the market have not "bitten" the potato yet. Read the article here, it is interesting.Potatoes are native to Peru and will grow anywhere from the frigid slopes of
I don't know how you moms of toddlers feel about Yo Gabba Gabba. I'm personally a little intrigued with DJ Lance. He's like a Raj throwback from the days of 'What's Happening'. However, something about this show brings out the inner beast in The Girl. She gets the Pavlov Dog reaction everytime it comes on that, for lack of better words, freaks me out. The Girl normally watches her morning shows with wonder and delight, but here's what I heard this morning when DJ Lance introduced himself as 'Your Friend':"I am NOT your friend you stinkin' weirdo. Get a new outfit!" (Don't you love how she went straight for the fashion jugular?)And when he dared introduce the Dancy Dance:"You think YOU know how to Dancy Dance like crazy? I'll show you crazy!"I'll show you crazy, indeed. Tomorrow we ar

Philadelphia International AirportPhiladelphia, PA USAwww.phl.orgWhere is it?Beside Gate C28.What's it like?Gate C28 is at the end of the C terminal in PHL. Given that, and that these toilets accommodate only about three to four gates worth of people at most, you'd expect the bathrooms here to be a little small. That isn't the case. These are somewhat sprawling facilities offering passing travelers plenty of chances to stretch out after suffering through the tight quarters of an airplane. I'm sure they get busy now and then, but on my visit I found them practically empty and very welcoming. The bathroom here comes split into two distinct sections, one for toilet stalls and one for urinals; each area features a somewhat vast "lobby" area between the actual toilet and the sink stations, which
Man, don’t I just wanna cry, my only day off from normalcy and my phone is not working. “C’est pas juste!!! ( It’s not fair!!!) In December Google did to me what is called "Google Smack" in the world of bloggers. Because I have ads and links not ONLY affiliated Google-Gods they smacked my page rank down to a big fat ZERO from a 4/5 and they de-indexed my pages. Over the last 3 months I've managed to get a lot of them indexed again (putting me back into the search engines) but I've never seen my page rank come back...
Q: Please tell us about something your child(ren) said that was supremely amusing. Embarrassing is also fun.
A: My daughter's 1st word was "hi" (the exact way I say it - kind of high-pitched/sing-songy)....this is more amusing in person unfortunately. Especially when she says it right after I have said "no" to something or when she knows she has done something "wrong".

When is a short story not a short story? I've been a big fan of Ellen Ghilchrist's writing for several years and decided to read one of her short stories today as a change of pace from the string of Joyce Carol Oates stories I've been featuring...and I absolutely love the cover of The Courts of Love, so that book was an easy choice from which to choose a story. This is part 2 of a 3 part series on the Thomas Cup's predictions. Part 1 here CHINA vs. INDONESIAMen's Singles 1Lin Dan vs. Taufik HidayatAlthough Sony Dwi Kuncoro is rated higher than Taufik, I think Indonesia will field Taufik instead of Sony. Indonesia will want to reserve Sony for later matches, as Sony might have a better chance against Chen Jin or Bao Chunlai. Furthermore, Taufik is one of the players in the world that genuinely have to ability to beat Lin Dan. I came across this article the other day and I found it very interesting. While to be quite honest, I don't believe most people who get involved in network marketing can pull this particular strategy off effectively to have success, if you are one of the few that can, you can become a very serious player in the industry. I think a better approach for the average person of this strategy is to become an affiliate for someone already doing this, similar to the Magnetic Sponsoring program. I'm considering doing an independent study course next quarter. My reasoning is this: I already have to take one course that is required that I really don't care about and since the number of modern literature courses offered (seeing how I'm a modern lit major) are rather crappy, I don't want to have to take three courses that I hate. So I've resolved to considering independent study as an option to do something interesting. I don't want to discuss race because, quite frankly, I'm not that interested in any subject of race within science fiction beyond tropes of racism and the data I'm collecting for the project I'm working on for this blog (which serves no academic purpose other than to educate myself and anyone else interested on what minority categories look li
In less than a year, Africa-Israel Investments (TASE: AFIL) has gone from the status of the new "people's share" to being the outcast of the Tel Aviv 25 list. Since the peak registered last May, the share had fallen 60% before yesterday's upward correction, leaving many investors disappointed. But if you ask controlling shareholder Lev Leviev, Africa-Israel is actually a very interesting stock. "Africa-Israel is the biggest bargain on the market," Leviev said in warm defense of the stock at the International Rough Diamonds Conference that took place on Tuesday.

Yesterday, I kept thinking about that song by the Rolling Stones. That song about the "Mother's Little Helper" (Yes, I'm that old.) :) And I kept thinking that a couple weeks ago, I spoke too soon. I do that often. Speaking too soon, that is. But that's another subject for another day.Today I'm speaking of the fact that I'm going to be taking the little yellow pill again (No, I'm not talking about the same one that the Rolling Stones sing about in "Mother's Little Helper". Not a very pleasant song in my opinion.) The results of the pill I will be taking will be similar to the Rolling Stones song though, in that they are an antidepressant. When did I speak to soon? I spoke too soon when I said I couldn't remember the last time I had an episode that was severe enough to warrant medication. Though it is true that I couldn't recall one at the time I made that statement, though you may find it hard to believe, I am in the throes of one now.I have determined though, that it is not a
Ever since the Dow Jones fell a few closings ago, it seems to me that the STI is now following the Dow Jones closely. This will be good as there will less guessing done on how STI will open the next closing since Dow Jones is now leading it.For the Dow Jones, i do have some reasons to believe that the correction for now is at least over. It formed a hammer candlestick on the 100d EMA. The hammer candlestick is a bullish reversal candlestick and being able to test and close above the 100d EMA is good indeed. I did a quick check on the previous corrections for the Dow Jones and came up with the level that the RSI should fall to before it resumes it's uptrend. Currently, the RSI has rebounded off this level. All these technical indicators suggest that the correction should be over at least for now in my opinion. As for the strength of this rebound, i still can't tell as there are not enough technical signs to show so gotta wait for subsequent closings.Dow Jones Industrial Average:For th
I knew this weekend was off to a great start when David showed signs of sickness. He had 'a frog' in his throat (his words) and spent most of Friday night tossing and turning, getting out of bed and driving S. and I crazy. But by Sunday, he was much better. Just a cold, I think, that really started the beginning of last week when I think about it.So was I surprised that last night I had that "scratchy feeling" in my throat? Not really. And was I surprised that I woke up at 1am with a raging sore throat? Nah.And this morning, when I puked in the shower? damn, now that's just not right.Yes, meet Shelli. Perpetual sickie. Unable to go 4 weeks without an illness. Able to contract anyone's germs in a single breath. The thing that is bizarre is I'm very much a clean freak. I wash my hands in scalding hot water many times daily. Lysol is my friend on all kitchen and bath surfaces. I just seem to be in an illness rut.Complicating factors other than my son's germ infested school?I had my flu
Say it ain't so.... I've just been probing media take out and several other sites all over the net, trying to piece together one big story. These are some pretty harsh accusations i'm about to throw out here, but I'm not afraid. Either this is some hardcore truth or udder b/s. But I'll let you all decide. Okay, so I've broken down all the information into simple terms, and I'm gonna try to explain this simply.First of all, as I'm sure you've all heard, apparently Tiffany "New York" Pollard is actually Kendra Simmons, the exotic dancer from Newark, New Jersey who has been on MANY reality tv auditions and who (ironically) was rejected three times as a "Bachelor" cast member. And Sister Patterson is NOT Kendra Simmons' mother. Apparently the two didn't even know each other until they met @ a BET casting call a couple years back. As a matter of fact, Sister Patterson isn't even Sister Patterson. She's supposedley an actress by the name of Leslie Bibbs. (She DOES look like a Le

When Muslim terrorists destroyed the lives of thousands of Americans by flying passenger jets into the Word Trade Center towers, they posed the same question to our nation: can the "great Satan" of the West, America, be destroyed?America has made its answer, and continues to answer by way of the "war on terrorism". Naturally, there are some who protest, saying war is not the answer. Such a sentiment is completely understandable. War truly is Hell, and only a pure psychotic would gleefully and joyfully wage war. I, for one, fervently wish that war would never be necessary. Sadly, however, there are circumstances
Major providers of blogging platform like Blogspot, Wordpress or even Friendster allow you to host your blog, with the condition that you use their domain name i.e. your blog address will go something like nasigoreng.blogspot.com, mapiau.wordpress.com or lim.friendster/blog or something like that. A Malaysian guy by the name of Beng Han is giving out a generous offer where you can host your blog on his server for free, and using your own domain!
This means that you only need to invest to buy a domain name and a 100MB of hosting capacity will be provided for a start. At the moment, Beng Han has attracted more than 15 blogs to be hosted on his very own server and is now moving to a 2nd batch intake. As for the domain name, you can buy it on your own (e.g. at Exabytes for RM55) or you can buy direct from Beng Han for RM50.
So what’s the catch?
There’s no hidden catch and agenda. What Beng Han asked for a return is to put a banner that links back to his blog, so I think this i
But then again there is the Iraq war and all, so no this fruitless endeavor would not be the biggest waste of money this year. And when I say lightsaber I mean “the” lightsaber. According to NASA, they are planning on sending the original lightsaber prop from Star Wars to outerspace aboard Discovery in October.
“Chewbacca, the towering Wookiee best known from the film as Han Solo’s co-pilot on the Millennium Falcon, will officially hand the lightsaber over to officials from Space Center Houston during a ceremony at the airport. Joining “Chewie” will be other characters from the six-part sci-fi classic, including Boba and Jango Fett and together they help push back the airplane on the tarmac.
When the shuttle arrives in Houston, the flight will be greeted by a troop of Stormtroopers and other Star Wars notables including the droid R2-D2, who will deliver the lightsaber to a waiting line of Hummers outside the baggage claim of the William P. Hobby Air
I was supposed to see "Walmartopia" last Saturday evening. I arrived at the theatre to find that the performance had been cancelled because the air conditioning in the theatre had broken down that afternoon.

If District of Columbia public schools are known for one thing and one thing only it is for not having textbooks delivered to its students. It is the number one issue we hear about from new parents to our school. In an article yesterday by Washington Post writers Theola Labbe and Dion Haynes say it looks like this pattern will go on for another year. Michelle Rhee, the new school chancellor, says she doesn't know yet what to do about he problem but I have a suggestion. Donald Winstead has been the books manager since 1989. Perhaps its time for change? When does this new accountability thing kick in?

I have a dilemma. Naturally I turn to the same place I turn for all of my personal pleas . . . the Internet. Several weeks ago we took the boys to the T-Rex restaurant, where I insisted Monkey Boy have a cute little T-Rex sippy cup. It was insulated, with water and green glitter between the layers, cute huh?
So last night as Monkey Boy is supposed to be feasting on Parmesan chicken and peas,
Once Posh and Becks get over her little TV mistake, they will need to get out and about in Hollywood mixing with the cool crowd. There are many great hot spots to visit in LA if you are Fabulous, Famous and can get on the list. Of course we are sure that won,t be a problem for these two but you never can tell. The Sky Bar is one of the hottest night spot in town for celebs. It's an intimate, low-key outdoor venue, where stars lounge by the poolside, enjoying a spectacular view of L.A. There is cool ambiance and a roaming cigarette girl. Waitresses are stunning dressed in cute tops and short skirts serving drinks to guests in the bar and around the pool. It's been said that the place "looks like a movie set. It was set up by Randy Gerber husband of Cindy Crawford and sits on top of the Mondrian Hotel on Sunset, West Hollywood. We have spotted many celebrities including Leonardo Di Caprio, Rod Stewart, Courtney Love and Paris Hilton having a wild time of it.
Have you ever felt yourself older or younger than you really are? Do you often think of an age issue? For me personally AGE is mostly about a state of MIND.I was always interested in spending time with people older than me, because I myself feel a bit older than I am. I’m pretty independent, conscious and experienced in many facets of life. Things turned out this way. Therefore, it’s not a surprise that I’m in a long-term relationship with a man older than me. How much older? I’m 24. He is 40. Yes, “Eros doesn’t look at age” and I don’t find it so bad. Well, we’re going together nearly for three years and I want him to be my life-time partner and my children’s dad. He is serious when needed, fun when it’s appropriate, always reliable, loving and damn so sexy that it makes me jealous sometimes and… proud of him though. I like when young chicks never miss a chance to show they like my man. There are no selfish ends, lustful reasons or those familiar “who is at th
I'm not sure... Was it the wrong choice to make?
I'm really happy that my friend is closer to me (physically) now but it seems more conflicts have taken place as well.
I was kinda glad that she asked me to go for lunch but I really don't feel like being made fun of during lunch either.
I'm seriously not in the best of moods and I thought having lunch would somewhat make it better. Sadly, we had to bump into "the rest", which somewhat made it worst.
Oh well, no lunch for me today. And I guess I won't ever be joining her for lunch again, or anything else for that matter of fact. Ironic isn't it?
Perhaps it was the wrong choice to make from the very start...

Do you people really need to bring more pity and ridicule upon your state?Ohio couple names son Tressel Hayes (AP)I guess the answer would be, "Yes, we do." Well, it beats being named Saban. An Ohio State fan believed the last names of two Buckeyes football coaches would make the perfect first and middle names for his unborn child. His wife wasn't so sure. His wife must be from out of state. And sane. But Brent Huffines' choice won out. The couple named their newborn son Tressel Hayes."Tressel Hayes Huffines -- sounds as sweet as an OSU victory over Michigan," Brent Huffines, 27, said Sunday while cradling the 3-day-old boy in the neonatal intensive care unit at Ohio State University Medical Center.Or to put it another way, "Tressel Hayes -- sounds as stupid as Colin (redacted) on the radio."At least six Ohio parents have named a child Tressel since 2003, birth records sh

DEBKAfile reports: High alert at US and UK bases, Middle East armies on the ready lest Iran’s seizure of 15 British seamen Friday is only first Iranian reprisal action
Our military sources report that Middle East and Persian Gulf nations as well as the US and UK are bracing for further Iranian marine, air or terrorist operations in Iraq and other places in reprisal for the sanctions measure
2008 and counting: Using praise as a weapon on the trail
Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) slipped in a compliment — of sorts — about a fellow 2008 hopeful during his appearances on the Iowa stump last weekend.
"I want to wait and hear what John Edwards has to say, he's kind of good-looking," Obama envisioned Iowa caucus-goers from the small town of Clinton telling themselves. During an appearance in West Burlington, Iowa, the phrase appeared again, this time with Edwards as "kind of cute"

Another in a long line of scary things..
I realize this is meant to be disparaging from B. Hussein Osama.. er.. Obama, against John “the Breck Girl” Edwards.. but coming right after the flap Ann got over her comment, hey, it’s just plain ‘funny’ and you know what they say.. stupid is as stupid does.Â

Dear America,I, Billy Crystal, do officially announce my probationary entry into the 2008 Presidential race. Long have I stood on the sidelines and watched others run this country into the ground. Well, not anymore. With the exception of Scott Bakula, I am the most qualified man (and I stress the word man) for the job. I urge you to vote for me, if indeed I do run, which is uncertain because I don't want to committ to running until I know I can win, even though nothing is ever certain and I am 100% determined to run, but it sounds better to say I'm exploring the options. While I don't have any "platform" or "campaign ideas" or more than a "fifth grade education," it shouldn't matter. What should matter is that I starred in When Harry Met Sally and saw Meg Ryan fake an orgasm in a restaurant. That is much more important than an Iraq policy or a stance on the genocide in Darfur. What's more, I can do voices really well, so instead of faking a Southern accent, I can do an outdated Ho
Perhaps We can Still AvoidThe Third Civil WarBy David Truskoff10 March, 2007Countercurrents.orgMarch 7th 1965 is the day the Selma civil rights marchers were beaten trying to march for freedom. On March 9th we re-grouped and started the historic Selma to Montgomery Freedom March. Presidential candidates are planning to attend this year’s anniversary celebration. They will again embarrass most of us who made that March with their hypocritical promises of a better America for all races. When I wrote the book THE SECOND CIVIL WAR it was with a great deal of emotion and yes, some tears. I think that it is important that on this day liberals at least read the introduction to the book.INTRODUCTIONThe first time that I met LeRoy Jerome Moton was in March of 1965, one hundred years after the first battle of Selma. He was in his late teens, and the Messiah had come to his hometown. The six-foot gangling youth glowed in the Messiah’s reflection. It was all a beautiful dream. Martin Luther King
Getting into a Post-Graduate course is perhaps the greatest desire of a Medical student and also perhaps the most demanding one. The end result depends on how well one has managed his/her time. There may be students who have read for a couple of months who get through with good ranks and also some who may be slogging for months at end and not get through. What is more important is how he/she manages the time available.I will give a rough plan which proved useful to me during my own days.Duration required : 5-7 months(if not working)/6-12 months(if working) Time to be spent each day on studies: at least 6-8 hoursThis time has to divided into time for preparing MCQs, time for reading text, and time for revising notes. This has to be roughly 30%, 60% and 10% of the time respectively.During the last one month before the exams, this ratio has to be reversed with 60-70% of the time for MCQs and the rest for revising volatile subjects like Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Anesthesia. This a

I love Cynthia Nixon. I always have since one of her earliest film roles, that of a maid in "Amadeus." I can still see her sobbing at the end. Add to that her run in "Sex and the City" with my good friend Kristin Davis and it's like we're BFF (sort of).
Anyway, she's back onstage in
I was reading the Calgary Herald yesterday, and there was an article called "Calgary house prices take a breather in July" that really caught my attention. The things disgussed in this article seem to me like, well, Basic Economics. More supply, less demand, lower price. My sister was talking about the real estate market back in June, and had mentioned that other people in the know have started to use the word Bubble. My view has been that of basic economics for some time now. Realistically, I don't believe that everyone out there with a house for sale right now, is a good honest person, that is just looking to move up. More specifically, I feel that there are those that are looking to "invest" in real estate, and make money off the high demand, lower supply, and therefore inflated prices. I have heard of Real Estate Agents that own 14 houses and have them all for sale right now. Would those people have something to gain from an artificially high pri
Harrison has already mentioned Joe Biden's promise on 'Meet the Press' last weekend to finally get round to forming a presidential exploratory committee and get on with the presidential campaign that he's been promising for two years now - and which I can't help but feel he's been building up to for the last twenty. "I'll be Joe Biden and I'll try to be the best Biden I can be," he told Tim Russert, reported by the Wilmington News Journal. This is more ground-breaking than it seems; Biden's 1988 campaign was felled by his efforts to be the best Neil Kinnock he could be. This is definitely progress. At the same time, Biden also told Russert that, while he opposed President Bush's plan to send more troops to Iraq, he didn't think there was a lot Congress could do about it. However, as the new chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, there is at least one thing Biden has realised he can do about it: hearings. The News Journal reports that Biden, "in his first move as
The Hockey News is now telling us, on the heels of a spectacular and widely ignored NHL All-Star Game (held on a Wednesday night), that there is yet another special hockey game in the works for the people of the U.S. to be ambivalent towards.International club championship game in the worksThe NHL's All-Star Game is gone until next season, but International Ice Hockey Federation president Rene Fasel is angling to put on a different battle of the stars: The Stanley Cup champion vs. the best team in Europe."We must have a club championship - the winner of the Stanley Cup against the winner of the European Hockey League," Fasel told The Hockey News in an interview with Paul Romanuk. "It is a must for the NHL and it is a must for us. It is a must for the hockey fans and for the game of hockey. Hockey needs it on both sides."According to Fasel, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman hasn't rejected the IIHF's overture."They are not against it," Fasel said. "It was not a 'no' from Gary."Bill Da
I mentioned earlier today that Hooters opened in the last week.... well the county shut it down yesterday. That was fast. Apparently they did some plumbing and elelctrical work without the proper permits in place or signed off or something of that sorts Here's the link . 80 people are now out of work for a while 'til it all gets sorted out and everything is signed off.In other local news, the Kealakeua bay trail to the Captain Cook monument has been reopened and they are once again allowing kayakers to park their kayaks on shore. They do still have a portion of the bay in front of the pali (cliffs) closed off, but otherwise things are more or less back to what they were before the big earthquake. The photo above is of a mushroom coral (fungia scutaria). They are also locally referred to as razor coral. These are an interesting coral in that they are not attached to anything, often laying around on the reef. Since they are non-sessile, they can actually move around to some exten
Well, I figured that was going to happen, but XM Satellite Radio Holdings Inc. and Sirius Satellite Radio Inc., rivals in satellite radio industry, have agreed to combine in a deal that investors hope will result in significantly reduced costs and increased profitability. Right now, both radio entities are struggling and it would only make sense for both to merge. However, a merger will be hard to come by as regulations may forbid both companies from margining, there's a Federal Communications Commission provision that specifically forbids the two companies to combine. Analysts note, however, that the FCC could change the rule or allow an exception to it.How this will affect baseball fans remains to be seen...Link: http://www.baltimoresun.com/business/bal-merger0219,0,4514905.story?coll=bal-home-headlines* paraphrased from the Baltimore Sun
Edgar Winter's White Trash(1971)256kbpsPerhaps one of his best-loved albums, Edgar Winter's White Trash combined funk, blues, R&B, and rock & roll to create one of the freshest sounds of the early '70s. Touching on gospel with "Fly Away" and "Save the Planet," Winter and his band cover all the bases, climbing into the lower end of the Top 40 with "Keep Playin' That Rock and Roll." Winter's hauntingly beautiful "Dying to Live," featuring some of his best piano work, serves as a valid anti-war statement, written at the height of the Vietnam era, and the remainder of the record is filled with genuine rock & roll/boogie-woogie/blues that will keep your head bobbing and your toes tapping.Review by Michael B. OBESITYPerhaps the most aggravating condition that people must suffer from in day to day living is the inability to maintain desirable body weight. Most of the time overweight is a problem and dieting and taking diet pills is the way of life for millions. Using acupuncture sites is a recent entry into this area and is presently the subject of research. With needles there has been an initial success with some extremely difficult patients. Using the technique of pressure acupuncture also has proved promising in my practice. Abdomen point 1 fig. 48 on the left side overlies the stomach. It must be pressed deeply. Massage is not necessary.Leg point 1 fig. 49 also can be used on both legs or on one leg. If using two is too cumbersome one works well enough. In general, the way obesity points should be utilized is at the time one feels hungry. The must effective points should be pressed for several minutes. The ones that work best must be discovered for each individual by himself by trial and
