Artists Who Passed Away Far too Young and Doubts in Myself
Yesterday, I was in the basement with my boys. While they were playing a game on our old computer, I started thumbing through some of our art books to get some sort of inspiration. One of them, a sort of A-Z of artists, got me really interested. I had taken many art history courses in college, but I didn't really pay a lot in attention to the details. I was still a young punk and the stuff that i

The first season in the Premier League of my  Southampton story  is still very hard for me. The results are very different but mostly sad. Though we still create rather many moments in every match due to usage of 4-3-3 attacking tactics. Here I have brilliant 4:1 away victory over Derby, fantastic 5:3 with Liverpool, good 2:1 with Aston VIlla and very important, hard 2:1 win over rival Tottenham Hotspurs in FA Cup. On the other hand there were really disappointing losses like 1:6 to Chelsea and 1:4 to Newcastle. It was also very pity to loose the game with Manchester City with the hockey score 4:5 when my Southampton was leading all the match through. By the way, look at the results of December: 2:4, 5:3, 4:5, 1:6 .... Seems like I manage some kind of hockey team!!!! :))) A

Nipah virus, a new and deadly brain and lung disease, emerged from Singapore and Malaysia ten years ago, and it is now spreading into rural India and Bangladesh. It kills up to three-quarters of the people who become infected in some outbreaks. People are catching the disease by drinking date palm juice or eating fruit contaminated by the virus, or through contact with infected animals. Fruit bats are a natural reservoir of Nipah virus, and the first outbreaks began when pigs on farms ate fruit which had been bitten by infected bats and dropped near their pens. An epidemic spread across the Asian peninsula due to the pig trade.

I don't watch basketball very much. To me, it seems that all you need to see are the last few minutes to see the most important part of the game. The last few minutes last about 30 minutes anyway. But each year, as March Madness around the NCAA tournament grows more and more popular, I am reminded of the fact that "once upon a time" the NIT (National Invitation Tournament) was at one time the big dance. If you would like to know more about the origins of the NIT and NCAA tournaments you can always visit Wikipedia. At times, these fades seem to happen very quickly and for no obvious reason. Why do these fades happen? Indifference to CompetitionOver-confidence

what would happen if a star passed through the oort cloud ?
If another star got as close as the Oort cloud, several things could happen. Almost certainly the orbits of quite a number of comets will be disrupted or changed, probably resulting in anincrease in the number of comets entering the inner solar system. If the star is massive enough, itwill disrupt the orbits of some of the planets and Kuiper belt objects as well. The exact results will certainly vary depending on the mass, speed, anddirection of approach of the star. A low mass star just grazing the outer portions of the Oort cloud (which mayextend as much as a light year outward from the Sun) will certainly have much less effect than a20-solar-mass supergiant getting into the inner part of the Oort cloud.

      Heath Ledger Passed Away
This is very sad, seeing a young life disappear before it gets a chance to fully grow. There was such promise in Heath Ledger’s career, you could tell this was an actor that would only get better as the years went by. I appreciate that he tried really hard to stay away from the typical [...]

Health Care Bills & Nursing Funding Passed!
Take a break, enjoy your holidays! Take some time for YOU!!! Make the most of whatever time you have with your families. Know that you are doing something to make a difference in someone's life! My aunt was hospitalized a couple of days ago and is very unhappy that she'll have to be in over the holidays. I know I'm grateful for the terrific nurses who will help her to breath easier!Congress passed the SCHIP renewal and the consolidated funding bill which appropriates $156.05 million for Title VIII nurse workforce development programs. Hurray! This is an increase of $6.4 million over last year's funding. President Bush had suggested cuts of $44 million so this is a real victory. Pres. Bush is expected to sign these bills in the next few days.Congress also sent legislation for President Bush to sign which will delay for at least six months any cuts in Medicare reimbursement to physicians. For the moment, some of the major health care issues seem to be holding their own.

New Bill Passed By Congress Makes Short-Sales Much More Appealing
If you're a home owner facing foreclosure or thinking about negotiating a "short-sale" with your lender, Congress just made things a little easier for you. Congress just passed legislation called the Mortgage Forgiveness Debt Relief Act (HR 3648), which opens up a three-year window during which homeowners who end up in foreclosure or negotiate a short-sale won't have to pay taxes on up to $2M of forgiven debt. The Mortgage Forgivness Debt Relief Act changes the current law, which states that home owners are to be taxed on forgiven debt. President Bush is set to sign off on the bill shortly putting the bill into effect in the beginning of 2008.

      Passed…with Flying Colours
I’m delighted to say that I passed my theory test with flying colours - 39 out of 40 correct . I know the exact question I stumbled on, which was the only one I really had to put any effort into answer. Q: (Picture of a car in Fog) - What are the road safety issues pictured: 1: Reduced Visability 2: Danger of ‘aquagliding’ due to rain 3: Being dazzled by oncoming drivers headlights 4: Danger of low-hanging branches hitting your car The green ones are the answers I answered, but on consideration after the exam it could possiblybe the one highlighted in red. It was a bit of a trick question or one of those ’stupid questions’ in my previous post. The image did not show any rain, only fog - therefore there would be no immediate danger of ‘aquagliding’, but instead a danger of being dazzled by oncoming head & fog lights. My appointment wasn’t until 2 o’clock, but I was in town at 12:00 to get some shopping out of the way. But

It’s with much regret that I write that Kelly Brook’s father, Kenneth has passed away, aged 57, after a long battle with cancer. The Sun reports he died “peacefully at home” on Monday night. Sources close to Kelly say she’s not sure if she will be able to perform on this Saturday’s show. This is really sad news and my sympathies go out to the Kelly and her family, and I’m sure all readers of Strictlycomedancing.tv and all Strictly fans join me in this. Our thoughts are with you.

      Sean Taylor has Passed
Sad stuff right here. Thoughts go out to his family and friends. Sometimes the world just sucks. From The Washington Post: “He did not make it through the night,” said Taylor’s attorney, Richard Sharpstein, who called the incident “a ridiculous, unnecessary tragedy.” Taylor died “a couple of hours ago” surrounded by some family members, family friend Donald Walker said shortly after 6 a.m. “Things turned for the worse,” Walker said by phone from Taylor’s mother’s house. There “seemed like a lot of hope after he responded to the doctor’s command. But he lost of a lot of blood.” tag: nfl, sports, football, redskins, washington, sean taylor

      I PASSED!
Well, yesterday was my MAT test and I PASSED! yay! I am so relieved. I still truly have no idea which questions I got correct and which ones I got incorrect. However, I passed and that is what counts! You have 60 minutes to finish 120 questions…and I ran out of time around question 80! So, I was sure I had failed… but clearly not! I am so relieved! For the past week my life has revolved solely around that exam! And now my life can revolve around all the papers I have due this coming week! So, I will know shortly if I have been accepted to the Grad Program, and then the Grad assistantship, and then I have t get my visa organized (yes, the trivial issues of an international student!).

Smith's Red State passed over by The Weinstein Co
Kevin Smith's horror script for "Red State" has been passed over by The Weinstein Co. after he had turned in a draft a few weeks back. He shared his thoughts on the matter with a very optimistic approach, stating:“It’s the first time Harvey and Bob have passed on anything I’ve wanted to do, but if they were gonna pass on anything, this’d be the one to do it on. The only explanation Michael gives me is ‘Harvey thought it was more of a Bob flick and then Bob didn’t get it. They’d rather just concentrate on ‘Zack and Miri’ at the moment, which we’re all pumped about.’”“Naturally, this makes me wanna make “Red State” even more than I did just prior to that phone call. I get excited thinking about having to raise financing for our hot potato of a flick. This represents a turning point of sorts for Scott and I, inasmuch as everything (with the exception of Mallrats) has been made with the Weinsteins. It might be nice to see if we can get something done without

      Funky Winkerbean passed away today
The 36-year-old beloved attorney, mother and wife passed away today following a bout with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband, Les, and daughter, Summer. These aren’t real people; they’re characters in the daily comic strip “Funky Winkerbean.”But that hasn’t kept Lisa’s illness and death from upsetting a lot of readers.“I cannot look at the strip. It is that depressing,” said Elaine Baumbach, 60, of New Cumberland. “If it catches my eye, right away I feel bad. I fold the paper over as soon as I get to that page.”The strip, written and drawn by Tom Batiuk of Medina, Ohio, has been around since 1972 and runs in about 400 newspapers, including the Patriot-News.And Baumbach is just one of a number of local readers who have complained in recent months about the current cancer storyline, calling it too much of a downer for the proverbial “funny pages.”“There’s nothing funny about [cancer],” said Keith Roth, 79, of Newberry Twp. “It’s sad and serious
