Part Three: The Hospital
We were wheeled into our “suite” after just a few hours in recovery. We had hoped to have a single, but the aforementioned “baby bonanza” meant that beds were scarce, and single rooms even more so. To our dismay, there was another patient occupying one of the beds when we came in [...]
Pennsylvania’s Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility Law provides the consumers purchasing automobile insurance must make a choice of tort options - either Limited Tort or Full Tort. Although your insurance costs are lower if you select Limited Tort rather than Full Tort, you sacrifice legal rights by choosing Limited Tort.

First thing this morning I found myself in the vicinity of Kings Cross after a meeting. The area of Kings Cross isn't very high on London's list of tourist attractions. Although recent regeneration has changed the face of the area quite a lot is still a bit run down and shabby, and the whole area still has a reputation as a red light district.
At the centre of this area are the 'twin' stations

How To Apply Bridal Make-Up, Part Three
This video talks about applying foundation evenly to your face. It's very important that you don't looking like you have your make up caked on, blending is key. She uses makeup brushes to contour her features, concealer to bring out her cheek bones and natural tones to give herself a natural glow. I personally like to use real hair make up brushes

How to spot an adverb Adverbs can be quite complicated. This is because you cannot tell an adverb by looking at it. You can tell an adverb by what it does in a sentence. The play went well – The word ‘well’ describes the verb ‘went’, so ‘well’ is the adverb. The well had to be drained by noon – The word well in this sentence names something, therefore it is a noun The well wa
AAM Interview Part Three with the lovely Tim Gallagher. While Tim might be afraid of Big Foot, the boy knows his BF history like nobody's business and goes into hilarious detail about it. He's super menschy and one hell
In part three, I focus on the American economy. The problem right now is that, children see the profession that they deem as successful as youth, and then a disproportionate amount of them flock to that profession in later life. Thus in the 80's there was a boom in the numbers of businessmen and MBA's, in the 90's we switched over to becoming lawyers, and in the 2000's it we are seeing a larger

Part OnePart TwoBeckett’s posthumously published first novel, Dream of Fair to Middling Women, is a blatantly autobiographical work set in Dublin, Ireland. The story of Beckett’s first antihero, Belacqua Shuah, whom the publisher (Calder Books) calls an alter-ego for the author, is actually narrated by a Mr. Beckett. His biographer, James Knowlson notes: [M]any of the figures who appear in the novel are closely based on people whom he knew – in some cases much too closely for this not to have been a source of embarrassment to the older Beckett, who, after several initial attempts to get it published, became extremely reluctant to see it appear during his own and their lifetimes. This did not stop Beckett writing future works which had autobiographical elements but he is never quite a

More of the Hydra Beat series. I suppose I should be much more informational on these releases, but truth is, these are fairly new to me. I don't know much about them other than what I've dug up, which is not a lot. I do know that most of these are nice instrumentals to kick back to while playing some Madden or some MLB '08. This time around, you have the double LP Vol 8, which was, obviously,
Honestly, this episode of The Hills was pretty much boring. However, the entire cast kept their mouths open like 2 for 1 flytraps at Wal-Mart. YESTERDAY, I said that while Bush was speaking to Congress, McCain was being honored at the Versailles Restaurant of Little Havana.
It was there that most of the fiercest enemies of the Cuban Revolution and their families took up residence, Batista’s followers, the big landowners, owners of apartment buildings and millionaires who tyrannized and plundered our people. The United States government has used them at will, to organize invaders and terrorists who have shed our people’s blood through almost 50 years. Later, illegal emigrants joined that stream, along with the Cuban Adjustment Act and the brutal blockade imposed on the people of Cuba.
It is incredible that, in this day and age, the Republican candidate, honored as a hero, is turned into an instrument of that Mafia. Nobody ha
The 20-minute ride back to our apartment was filled with a sexual tension and excitement that I had never experienced before. Both Jan and Sophia had climbed into the back seat. I was driving while trying to keep track of the action in the back using the rear view mirror – not the safest approach to driving by any means. They were sitting close together, smiling at me provocatively. I was trying to drive, watch them, and figure out how all this came about at the same time when Sophia spoke up.“So did we surprise you?” she said through a mischievous smile. “Oh yah – just a bit” I replied. Both of them laughed at my obvious understatement.Sophia continued as she played with Jan’s hair. “We had this planned for weeks you know, but we were just waiting for the right time.” I r
(continued from part two)After depositing the soiled articles in the laundry room, I sat at the kitchen table, vowing not to return upstairs again. He could go to sleep or not, he could come downstairs, he could throw books around his room, it didn’t matter. I was beyond any compassion by this point.Gradually my veneer of sourness sublimated to a thin film, and finally evaporated entirely leaving behind the undercoat of regret and shame. I had been angry with a little boy who just needed to be comforted and helped through feelings he couldn’t deal with himself; emotions that probably scared him as much as it angered me.So back up I went. His mom was just finishing reading him “Green Eggs and Ham” when I came in. He turned and looked at me, and smiled like “Oh good, you’re here.

I opened the front door again and watched as the cocky bastard walked out and drove his car away. I then rushed up the stairs and into our bedroom to find Sally fast asleep under the covers. I shook her, gently at first, then more forcefully, as I tried to get her to open her eyes. She just moaned and turned over, pulling the sheet from her body and exposing her completely naked body. I looked at her beautiful bare ass as she turned away from me and was instantly aroused. I knew she wouldn’t be awake any time soon, so I took out my cock and masturbated as I thought of what my filthy wife had been doing all night while dancing with those men, and what she would have done just now if I hadn’t stopped them. Just as I pumped all my come over her sexy naked ass, I made a decision. If someth
Every year ecommerce experiences new trends in the online shopping world. As our world evolves with nature, technology evolves at a faster pace. It is crucial for any business in any industry to keep up with technological trends for its survival. Like Darwin’s survival of the fittest, the companies who are ready to adapt to the latest trends will survive and the others will become extinct. This is why we see many retailers expanding their business to online shopping, because they are following the latest trend in the retail industry. Those retailers, who fail to set up an online shopping website, will have the same fate as the dinosaurs. They will become extinct. The following are the latest trends in online shopping. They clearly show how rapidly our society is evolving to a c

But then what would her name would have been?
How Protected Are You?
Don’t think just because you have a protected no claims bonus you can be any less careful than before. Crucially insurers will still take your claims history into account when setting your premiums for the following year even if your discount is protected.
Your new premium at renewal could still rise if you have made a claim. While you’ll continue to qualify for the same discount as before, this discount will now reduce the cost of a higher premium which has been loaded following your claim. In other words, your percentage discount will remain intact but the actual cost of your insurance could be higher than before.
Remember the best route to cheaper car insurance is to avoid making a claim! That said, I think protecting your no claims bonus is still worth the extra cost. You should still be able to get a less expensive policy than you would with no bonus at all.

See Why I Saw My First Psychiatrist, Part One and Why I Saw My First Psychiatrist, Part Two for the full story. As I get older, my relationship to the events of my past changes. The chronology seems far less significant than it once did, and I find myself skipping from a story from when I was thirty to a game I played when I was three, connecting them by intuitive rather than direct association. When I tell these stories now about my history with mental illness, I move through the events that describe it in a seemingly haphazard manner, picking up pieces of it from very different times and places and hanging them together in constantly shifting triptychs. My intent when I began this series was to follow a natural, chronological progression through my initial experiences with psychiatry, but that turned out to be less natural than I thought. It seems more rational to begin with the place at which I arrived, the point of the story, the point at which I began to seek help, and then work m
World Trade Center building number seven. If ever there were a smoking gun, this would surely have to be it.Building seven was, by the standards of most cities, a huge building. But in New York, at forty-seven stories tall, it was dwarfed by its larger neighbors – at least until the afternoon of 9/11/2001.The mystery of Seven’s collapse is the water that many skeptics dip their toes into initially. The implausibility of its collapse gives even the staunchest supporter of the official story of the day’s events pause. Here is a skyscraper that was not hit by a plane, sustained little structural damage – relative to buildings five and six, and in which scant fires burned for only five or six hours. There is no clear indication of what caused it to plummet to the Earth that has been put forth. The photographic evidence, in this instance, is scant. There are fires visible in a few images, as well as a multi-story chunk taken out of the southwest corner, but nothing that would

This is the third entry of a series I am doing about How to save time on your PC. These are a few of the ways that I try to shave off minutes or even hours of wasted time on my computer each month.
Manage Multiple Email addresses
Lucky for you, I am going to save you the countless hours I spent trying to find a way to manage my multiple email addresses. Lets say you have a Yahoo email account and a Gmail account that you use both for different reasons.
How much time could you save if you could view your email from both accounts in one place?Maybe a little, maybe a lot. But, if you have about 5 active email addresses like me you know that it is a huge time waster to have to go to 5 different accounts to view my email.
Well, I tried Outlook, I tried Entourage, and I also tried Thunderbird to manage my email. Each has their own pros and cons, but what I was looking for was a way to view my email from any computer and have it all stored in one centralized location.
Enter GMAIL. This may s
You see, you try and save a man from drowning when the man doesn’t believe he’s drowning, he’ll not be too happy with you. You see him swimming out in the lake; you think, “I think he’s drowning. Yes, I believe he is.” You dive in, pull him to the shore, without telling him anything. He’s not going to be very happy with you. He won’t want to get saved until he sees that he’s in danger. They’ll not escape danger until they see it.
You see, if you came to me and said, “Hey, Ray,” and I said, “Yeah.” You said, “This is a cure to Groaninzin’s disease; I sold my house to raise the money to get this cure. I’m giving it to you as a free gift.” I’d probably react something like this: “What? Cure to what? Groaninzin’s disease? You sold your house to raise the money to get this cure? You’re giving it to me as a free gift? Why, thanks a lot. Bye…That guy&rsquo

That said it's doubtful, unless the economy magically revs beyond wildest expectations, a majority of exhibitors this year will invest more heavily in it next year. There was plenty of guessing about how the results of this show would affect the ArtExpo New York show, little of it with a positive vibe. That is, West Coast artists and publishers tired of the travel and expense of going to New York would love to have a viable show in the region. The question for them now is do they continue with the headaches and expense of distant travel to New York, or do they speculate hoping Vegas will grow into something more promising?
Regarding speculation, the rumor persists show owner, Summit Business Media LLC, has its art and framing properties on the block or has advanced to negotiation on a sale. Given the art & framing group is the equivalent of a redheaded stepchil

Immediately following the tragic events of September 11th, the media across our nation began telling stories about the trauma experienced by the public. The American public’s level of awareness could actually be characterized as a lack of awareness. The old “80/20″ rule was in full effect. About 80 percent of the population could not believe such a thing could ever happen on American soil, while the other 20 percent felt that an attack on America had been inevitable. Why the disparity? Why did some know while the majority had no clue?
In business today, this same 80/20 disparity exists. Consider these 2005 statistics: 672,000 small businesses were started, and 545,000 of those same businesses—80 percent—failed. Why? What is the difference between businesses that make it and those that don’t? What the facts point to is an extraordinary lack of knowledge about the changing s
This is another in a series of posts highlighting conceptual distinctions that I find have therapeutic value in my psychotherapy practice as well as in my own life.Caring vs. codependent – For many years I hardly used the word 'codependency' at all in my practice, because it seemed to be so vaguely defined. I now use it to mean any excess reliance on the opinion of others to determine either the appropriateness of my actions or my worth as a person. While I now accept the usefulness of the term, I maintain a couple of reservations. My first concern is that codependency best describes a process, not a person (see “nouns” vs. “verbs”, below). I can notice when my codependency issues are kicking up, but that doesn’t somehow make me something called a “codependent”. I think it’s very limiting and fundamentally inaccurate to turn a functional process into a definition of a person. My other concern about the concept of codependency is that it can pathologize caring about a
While I was away, Daren managed to keep the house clean, clean up the outside of the house and the real estate sign is up! People have been driving by at all hours, checking us out from afar and I’m sitting here in my jammies this morning, wondering if anyone would be ballsy enough to ring the doorbell and ask for a peek. God I hope not.
No sweetheart, I don’t know if people do that sort of thing, but I do know human curiousity is strong and that we have a desirable house up for sale. I grew up in apartments so Daren laughs at me when I say stuff like that, but having never been a homeowner before this, I simply don’t have words like soffits and pilot lights in my vocabulary.
So part of Daren’s big strategy to keep the house looking like a magazine, was to spend time at his parents’ place with the boys. Good call, really, since they are always good for juice boxes and extra kisses. Thomas had the family in stitches running around with an empty water g
Well, I am home now and recovering nicely from knee replacement surgery. Needless to say, I am pretty keen to get back out there and start working on Our Time but I think I’ll be a few weeks away from actually being able to do anything really productive.
Before the surgery, I managed to get the frame finished and ready for the windows to be installed. It was a big job and I found more rust that I anticipated but I will sleep much easier now knowing that she is rust free!
In previous posts, I detailed the rust I discovered on the back and side windows and provided a guide to removing rust. You can check out those posts by visiting the Dealing with rust section.
This is this next part of our series on How to cut out rust, we focus on two things, firstly, don’t assume there is no rust if you see no visible signs and secondly, how to bend metal to sit nicely in your window frames. You can also see Parts 1 and 2 to learn how to prepare the rust area and creating the metal sheet
Here is part three of the four-part end times prophecy sermon I wrote my church.God bless. The Lord is coming soon.God is in ControlThe second coming of Jesus Christ isn’t an event that will happen “whenever.” Nor will it be the product of chance or fluke, nor will it simply just “come out of the blue.” The second coming of God’s Son is a pre-planned event by God Himself.God is in control.Jesus said, “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Matthew 24:36)Right there we see that God has a date set for His Son to return to the earth. God also has a series of dates set when individual prophecies will be fulfilled. We are on His clock and on His time. These things will all come to pass when He says so.But does that mean that, when Jesus was on Earth and He didn’t know the day or hour of His return, that this event will happen “whenever”?The answer is no.The Bible contains a calendar that outlines the whol
The changes began with a call from my oncologist; highly unusual. He asked a favor, also highly unusual. He had a patient, newly diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, who just needed to talk, with another man who shared his diagnosis. He thought that my experience with a twelve-step program might be of help in simply listening. Thus began a journey of immeasurable joy. A twelth-step call to a cancer patient? It was to become very familiar.
Socially, ethnically and historically, we had no background in common. In the course of normal events, we probably would have never even met. He, raised in killing fields of Afghanistan, me in California, he Muslim, me Protestant, etc., etc.
My wife and I entered their small, spartan home on a nasty, rainy Seattle night. We sat on rugs for a lovely traditional meal and small talk. We would understand later what a tremendous financial sacrifice the meat we ate was for this family. My best friend is Persian, so we know and understand many of the tradit
A selection of pictures from the Pussycat Dolls' performance at the London Live Earth concert. Appearing near the end of the show, they played Buttons, Stickwitu and Don't Cha. Their dance routines were fantastic and they still managed to sing brilliantly. Without doubt, one of the highlights of the entire Live Earth marathon. Many more higher resolution pictures from the event have been uploaded to the Nicole Scherzinger and Pussycat Dolls galleries.

Part three of our vacation recap takes us to Savannah, G.A. It was our first time visiting the city. Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of time to explore. We mostly toured River and Bay Streets, down by the river. We really, really liked Savannah a lot. Although pushing a stroller around on the cobblestone River Street wasn't easy. A few times I had to carry the stroller with Zane in it.We had lunch at a New Orleans restaurant on River Street. The food was good. Zane through his cup at a mad sitting at the table across from us. I was embarrassed, but the man played along with Zane like it was no big deal.I also got my very first parking ticket ever in Savannah. We were about 15 minutes late getting back to the car, which was parked at a meter. The ticket is only $10. Here's some pics from the trip.Rothfamilyadventures.com
Hyria with Women at the Fountain. 530 B.C.
Vulci, Museo di Villa Giulia, Rome
Non-mythological subjects also appear on vases. In one example, a group of women at a fountain appropriately decorates a hydria, or water jug. Several vases have images relating to the Panathenaic games, festivals held in Athens similar to the Olympic [...]
Click for 468kb imageVisiting the Siam Station shearing shed brought some wonderful memories of my childhood back. I was disappointed though to find that the old shearing plant had been dismantled for a new one before I managed to get a snapshot of what it used to look like. The shearing boards were very silent but gee I do remember the hustle and bustle of people working and the sheep moving around in their yards as well as the diesel engine running the shearers plant along with many other sounds that happen during shearing, some of which consisted of swear words when things did not go right. What I think:For the third part of this series, I took a walk to The Bishops Arms last Friday evening. I was with a friend who was visiting from England. We'd just been to the Charles Dickens for a couple of beers there, when I decided that it was time to go elsewhere to take a closer look at another pub's facilities. The Bishops Arms (or simply "Bishops", as it's more commonly known) is located very centrally. It's a pretty nice place to go for a few beers, although it's fairly pricey; a decent pint costs around 55 Kronor (US$7.90/£4.00/€5.90).Having said that, the selection of draft lagersthey have is the best in town: And For the homesick Brit,or the locals or tourists who have yet to visit the UK,they also have a few decent ales in the pipes as well. And if whisky's your thing, you won't be disappointed here. All this liquid make me want to go to the toilet.Don't be shy, come along with me.How to get to the toilets:When you enter the pub, you're soon met with a staircase o

The discovery of the tomb of King Tutankhamen in 1922 by Howard Carter, a British archaeologist, resulted in some of the most important contributions to our understanding of the ancient Egyptians’ civilisation in general and their burial practices in particular. This is especially true since the tomb was found almost intact, [...]
Here we go then. The third and most definately final set of Viv Stanshall sessions. These final four sessions cover the period 1988-1991. For some reason (and I'm sure there is one) Viv didn't record any sessions between 1979 and 1988. One thing's for sure though, when he did return to Maida Vale it was well worth the wait. Looking solely at the results and performances from this season it would be easy to conclude that it is essential for Arsenal to dip into the transfer market and make a number of big signings. What this conclusion doesn’t incorporate is the fact that - without spending a cent - Arsenal will be making a significant number of ghost signings in the summer. I of course refer to the players who have spent large amounts of the season injured and - should they return to fitness - will seem like new signings for the club. I thought it would be good to take a look at the players whose seasons have been severely hampered by injury and investigate the effect that their prospective returns could have on Arsenal’s 2007-2008 season.
Ghost Signing #3 - William Gallas
Since joining Arsenal from Premiership rivals Chelsea before the start of last season William Gallas has divided opinion amongst Arsenal supporters. Whilst consistently regarded as a world-class c
Gods, Heroes and Myth: It's a collection of songs about stories that approximate feelings, trigger thought, spark conversation and ultimately celebrate music!Today we celebrating the realm of myth and icons: History tells us about the importance of myth and the power of story. The telling is done through song. I had published these all at once but I ate through more download bandwidth in an hour than most blogs burn in a day or more.
