Thanks for the inspiration, guys!
Damselfly asks:
Do you love or hate parades? Any memorable parades for you? Or, are there any friends from your childhood you’d like to reconnect with?
Oh, the parade. I’ve got mixed feelings about them.
As a kid I remember loving them and my poor mom took me to every one that she [...]

Q. You know who's WAY too gay-friendly for their own good? A. The Southern Baptist Convention, natch. Or so says Westboro Baptist in their latest press release:
The Hills star, Heidi Montag, flaunted her hot pink lace bra under a barely there black sheer top at LG’s launch party of slim LCD flatscreen line of TVs, Scarlet, at Pacific Design Center, West Hollywood, CA, Monday night, April 28.

Recently, Lilly decided it was time she start wearing a brassiere. For anyone new to MMW, Lilly is 4 years old and really has no use for such a garment. But she got this little tank top /sports bra looking thing in a pack of Little Mermaid underpants and she bugged MRS for a [...]
Crying over spilled milk, many of you may have missed out on the "not-so-official" National Underwear Day yesterday. Like a belated birthday gift, treat yourself to photos of the line-up of tushes that could be seen in NYC the previous day. The cleverly named Queerty covers off on more of the dressing down:"Started by Freshpair founder and Queerty friend Michael Kleinmann, the New York City-based event sprang from the pantie guru’s love of the groin and its many moods. Adapting 1960s happenings with guerilla marketing tactics, NUD began as a wandering event: sexy undressed models wandered the city spreading the word. Today, over fifty models will don eighteen brands of underwear - including Ginch Gonch, Paul Frank, C-IN2, Diesel, Hanes and women’s brands Natori and Barely There, among others - and strut their unclothed stuff for all the world to see."[via / image via]
July 4th, 1776 - The colonists of the original thirteen colonies are weary, bone weary. They’ve been under the subjugation of Britain for years. They have to live in fear of the British soldiers; they are under the rule of King George III. They have to abide by laws that have been enacted (which are blatently unfair to them), and have to pay taxes; the British seem to be getting richer, while they are getting poorer. They’ve decided to do something about it.
This is the day that they adopt the Declaration of Independence, which will allow them to finally break from the rule of Britain, and will allow them to have their own government. The colonists are tired of the British, and they decide they are not going to be pushed around any more. This Declaration states that a government should be run by the wishes of the people and for the people. If this doesn’t happen, the people have the right to revolt. This means FREEDOM for the United States of America and its citizens.
Not only does this picture remind me of a lovely family time at the 4th of July parade in downtown Anchorage it remains the evidence of my only successful attempt to French braid my daughters' hair. Hair isn't my specialty. She's the one on the left in case you're confused and that's Spencer, age two, in the middle.Technorati tags: Wordless Wednesday, Independence Day, parades, Alaska
An Uncle Tom [Ted Hayes] & Racist [Jim Gilchrist] in a “Chilling” Embrace.
In his “anti-immigrant” broadcast of today, pathological egotist bigot, Lou Dobbs, the self-proclaimed “Independent Populist,” announced that black and Hispanic anti-immigration “restlessness” is growing, and paraded a measly group of extraordinarily pathetic “Uncle Toms,” claiming to be outraged by illegal immigration — a [...]
