On the Sudden Outbreak of Hand-Foot-Mouth Disease
Whenever a child suffers needlessly, I really get shaken up, as I hope anyone does. Whenever I hear of a child being abused, neglected, exploited, or murdered, I can't help feeling extreme anger toward the person(s) responsible. Then I immediately start feeling heartbroken and sad for the child who was subjected to whatever hell they were put through. It's a consuming need to hug that child and hug my own, and then let them know they are loved. Disease and sickness can't always be blamed on a person, so there is just the yearning without the anger. The strange outbreaks in China and Vietnam of hand-foot-mouth disease (HFMD) primarily caused by the EV71, Coxsackie A16, and Echo viruses are no exception. Brown has also said he will return early from his holiday to chair another COBRA on Saturday at the Cabinet office. “Our top priority is to prevent the spread of this disease in order to protect farmers’ stock,” said a spokeswoman for Brown’s office. 60 cattle on the farm near Guildford, in Surrey, has tested positive for the highly contagious disease which affects cows, horses, sheep and pigs. Resident Evil Outbreak 1 was released on the Playstation 2 in March of 2004 in the US and it made waves as the first online Resident Evil title. But the online was serverely hampered by the fact that the game did not support voice or text chat, instead players had to make due with pre-set voice phrases. Thus the game was not all it could be since real strategy couldn’t be done. Like many games though, Outbreak contained some cool cut-scenes (The FMV intro is one of the best in the series in my opinion) and a somewhat interesting storyline that many people probably missed out on. So below you will find videos that give a complete walkthrough of the game’s storyline, from beginning to ending and showing all the cut-scenes in the game, it includes gameplay sections as well. Chronically Ill People Used Qigong To Cope With Anxiety And Discrimination During The SARS Outbreak
Oriental therapies can help chronically ill people stay strong and reduce stress levels during epidemics, according to research in the April issue of the UK-based Journal of Clinical Nursing. Researchers have shown that people who practiced the Oriental art of Qigong which combines gentle exercise with breathing techniques, meditation and visualisation reaped considerable benefits during the SARS outbreak in Hong Kong. It also helped them to cope with the stigmatisation and discrimination that developed against chronically ill people during the crisis, as they were seen as a high risk group with a much greater chance of being infected by, and dying from, the disease. “We were already studying the health benefits of this very popular therapy when SARS severe acute respiratory syndrome hit Hong Kong” explains lead author Judy Yuen-man Siu, who carried out the research in the Department of Anthropology at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. “Chronically ill people, like

Virus Outbreak Sickened Over 150 Prison Guards and Inmates!
In Las Vegas, Nevada a norovirus outbreak has sickened seven guards and at least 150 inmates at the county jail, according to authorities.  Most of the ones who got sick complained of having a stomach related problems such as vomiting, cramps and diarrhea.  However, no one had to be hospitalized. Brian Labus, Senior Epidemiologist for the Southern Nevada Health District said that “it’s going to make people feel miserable for a couple of days, but they will recover after it runs its course.”  The jail was closed to visitors on Tuesday but reopened today. Most of the inmates that got sick were kitchen workers, which is leading the officials to believe the virus was spread from contaminated trays or food.  Labus said that this outbreak could be related to the wave this virus that has sickened thousands of people in Las Vegas since December.

Peanut Butter Recalled Due to Salmonella Outbreak
Nearly 300 people in 39 states have fallen ill since August 2006, linked to a Salmonella outbreak from peanut butter. It is believed to be the first Salmonella outbreak in U.S. history associated with peanut butter. Just two or fewer cases have been reported each day since August, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officials said, and it was only in the past few days that investigators were able to focus in on the particular food responsible. The highest number of Salmonella cases reported were in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Tennessee and Missouri. According to the CDC, about 20 percent of the 288 infected people were hospitalized but no one has died. ConAgra Foods is recalling certain jars of Peter Pan and Great Value peanut butter, the house brand sold at Wal-Mart, after it was linked on Wednesday to the nationwide Salmonella outbreak. Herpes Outbreak Causes Wrestling Ban!
An outbreak of herpes gladiatorum, a contagious rash, in high school wrestlers has caused Minnesota to postpone matches and practices for eight days.  This will affect about 7,500 wrestlers on 262 different teams within Minnesota’s borders. As of now 24 wrestlers from 10 different schools have caught herpes, which was apparently spread during a tournament this past December.  One of the high schools’ wrestling coaches, Scot Davis, said “I think it’s a bold step by our high school league to protect our athletes - and it’s better now than at post-season tournament time.” This suspension should theoretically allow the rash to disappear, because it normally does so within 10 to 14 days.  This type of herpes is also known as mat herpes because wrestlers are very susceptible to getting it.  It is basically a skin infection that is caused by the herpes simplex virus. As of now there is no cure for herpes, but there are medications to help reduce the rec
