Otherwise engaged with the Lib Dems over at the station end of town, I couldn't get over to see Edward Timpson's (Conservative) visit to Coppenhall this morning. He and Alan Duncan (shadow business secretary) were over at the North Street Post Office (near the Cross Keys roundabout) highlighting the need to retain these local outlets. It's a valid cause that many feel passionate about. Timpson seems to be trying to tackle some of the core issues and he has pounded the pavements. Plenty of mud-slinging and insults, but he is perhaps the more local of the candidates. I'm hoping to get a profile piece done over few days. Have you met the Conservative candidate recently?
