La Turballe nude beach is located near Guérande, just south of St Nazaire, near the mouth of La Loire. The naturist beach is 300 metres south of the supervised beach 'Pen Bron'. Sauveterre Beach is another expansive golden sandy beach backed by dunes, about 7km west of Olonne-sur-Mer on France's Vendee coast. There is a large car park nearby and a couple of bars on the beach, but no toilets.This is an official beach that is reached by turning at the traffic lights in Olonne-sur-Mer just before the Sauveterre camp site and following the signs to the beach (Plage). The road winds through the pine forest and is littered with numerous shaded picnic areas en-route. There is a large car park on the forest side of the dunes and this gets very busy during peak holiday times with visitors having to resort to parking along the access road later during the day. La Tremblade is at one end of La Cote Sauvage which covers the whole of the peninsula as far south as La Palmyre (see next section below). The La Jenny naturist resort is next to one of the more remote nude beaches on France's Atlantic coast. In fact, it is possible to stroll (or cycle) naked for miles along the coastline in either direction! The resort, covering 300 acres, is set in pine woods and comprises only houses and bungalows - no tents or caravans are allowed. La Grande Cosse is set back a bit from the sea across dry scrub land (Garrigue?). The path across it has a couple of bridges to cross creeks that were still wet when we were there and forms a pleasant naturist walk (or cycle ride) to the nude beach. Almanat Beach is about 40km east of Malaga and 2km west of Torre del Mar. Adjacent to the nude beach is the naturist campsite of Camping Almanat which is equipped with a heated swimming pool that's open throughout the year. Both the campsite and the beach are clearly signposted as you travel out of Torre del Mar on the N-340A westwards towards Malaga. This popular shingle beach has a nude bar and a kiosk renting out sunbeds and umbrellas. There is a small charge for parking in a car park adjoining the beach.This is a long straight sandy beach with a sectioned off naturist section. Eagle Peak Apartments offer clothing-optional accommodation high above the coastline of Playa del Meurto.The nearest and most obvious beach to Eagle Peak Apartments is the one below that you see from your terrace. From our front door go downhill and turn right at the junction about 50 meters downhill. Follow the road downhill until you reach the seafront, turn right and go about 200 meters until you come to a wide parking area with a sign for the naturist beach. Park up and walk past the garages on the beach around the headland on the pathway. The beach is in two sections the first is the most sandy. There are no facilities on the beach.

Playa de Monsul nude beach is located 3.5km south of San Jose in the Cabo de Gata National Park. There is a large sand dune at the north end and a nudist area at the southern end. This is a beautiful beach of soft golden sand, although there are no beach facilities as such.It has great views and the water was cristal clear. In August, which apparently is busy season, but they did not look too busy in comparison with any resort beach. A short walk from the car parks would have taken you to an empty section. There are many more beaches in the park, get a good map and surely you will find many more things to discover. Many of the beaches are Naturist, so if you can't afford a swimsuit or just prefer no tanlines, this could be the place for you.

Almanat Beach is about 40km east of Malaga and 2km west of Torre del Mar. Adjacent to the nude beach is the naturist campsite of Camping Almanat which is equipped with a heated swimming pool that's open throughout the year. Both the campsite and the beach are clearly signposted as you travel out of Torre del Mar on the N-340A westwards towards Malaga. This popular shingle beach has a nude bar and a kiosk renting out sunbeds and umbrellas. There is a small charge for parking in a car park adjoining the beach.This is a long straight sandy beach with a sectioned off naturist section. Playa del Muerto nude beach is over half a kilometre of sand and shingle located 3km west of the centre of Almunecar. Drive west along the seafront for 2km and park near where the road turns inland. The nude beach is signposted from here and you will reach it by a five minute walk around the headland. Eagle Peak Apartments offer clothing-optional accommodation high above the coastline of Playa del Meurto.The nearest and most obvious beach to Eagle Peak Apartments is the one below that you see from your terrace. From our front door go downhill and turn right at the junction about 50 meters downhill. Follow the road downhill until you reach the seafront, turn right and go about 200 meters until you come to a wide parking area with a sign for the naturist beach. Park up and walk past the garages on the beach around the headland on the pathway. The beach is in two sections the first is the most sandy. There are no facilities on the beach.

Playa de Monsul nude beach is located 3.5km south of San Jose in the Cabo de Gata National Park. There is a large sand dune at the north end and a nudist area at the southern end. This is a beautiful beach of soft golden sand, although there are no beach facilities as such.It has great views and the water was cristal clear. In August, which apparently is busy season, but they did not look too busy in comparison with any resort beach. A short walk from the car parks would have taken you to an empty section. There are many more beaches in the park, get a good map and surely you will find many more things to discover. Many of the beaches are Naturist, so if you can't afford a swimsuit or just prefer no tanlines, this could be the place for you.
