I think I'm losing my mind.I had a computer training meeting in downtown Fort Worth Wednesday morning. Before I left the house, I grabbed my phone then grabbed a handful of quarters for the meter.I get downtown. I feed the meter, run across the street and realize I don't have my phone.Must have left it in the car, I thought.I check the car. Its not there. Must have put it on top of the car while I was feeding the meter. Its not on the car or on the ground. The whole time this is going on, a homeless guy had walked by and was now about three blocks away. He must have my phone, I thought.I ran down Fifth Street and caught up with him before he crossed Throckmorton Street.I wondered what I should say to him. Should I pat him down?"Excuse me, sir, " I asked. At least I was nice."Yeah," he said,
Air America and The Daily Kos went insane this week, as if this was something new. Supposedly Randy Rhodes, host of the failing Air America liberal radio network, was mugged while she was walking her dog. Her teeth were knocked out and she was beaten really badly. As a result of her assault, the lunatic left began to attack Rush Limbaugh, Ann Counter and other conservatives, claiming that it is because of their “hate speech” that Randy Rhodes was mugged. In fact, they immediately assumed a conservative did it to silence her voice.First, nobody needs to prevent Randy Rhodes from being heard; she does that simply by sitting behind the microphone at Air America. Second, she was never mugged. It never happened. In fact, she slipped and fell. Oops. This does beg the question, however, "If an Air America Host Falls on the ground, and nobody is around....?"So I guess the Daily Kos and Air America will recant their baseless claims that a conservative attacked her. They should also

Your Monday Photo Shoot: Take a picture of one or more interesting coffee mugs you might have. Because it's my experience that people have coffee mugs with interesting stories behind them. At least, I do.

WHILE PARIS Hilton was sneaking into prison in Los Angeles in the wee hours of Monday morning, her younger brother, Barron, was getting mugged at knifepoint near Penn Station.
Barron, who is tall and blond and believed to be 18, had shown up earlier at Stereo on West 29th Street with three male friends and two girls. “They were all underage and they hung around for a while trying to get in the club,” said an eyewitness.
“They were waiting outside Stereo. Eventually they all left together at around 4 a.m.

Dear Useless Men,Do you think it's worth it for me to buy a 5th rim to match the other four, or in the event of a flat, should I just bear up and use the ugly?DebraDear Debra,I applaud you in trying to upgrade the appearance of your flat. I don't really know what you are thinking of as rims though. Are we talking about the rims on your eyeglasses? I might think so, if it were me, as I constantly forget my glasses at home. This means that they spend more time in my flat than on my face and an upgrade would improve the appearance of the room they are kept in.Or are you talking about the rims of your coffee mugs? If you're anything like me you’re constantly breaking them and ending up with mismatched sets, so I wouldn't bother trying to make them all match. If you have four that match, Congratulations! You are already miles ahead of me! It is actually far easier to chuck the whole lot and start over. It’s a nightmare matching old ones. Easier still is to not worry about t
So my first two weeks at CNET have been among the most enjoyable weeks of my life. I loved my previous job to pieces but my first couple of weeks were fairly stressful. I’ve had the pleasure of avoiding any kind of stress so far in this job. Since it’s my hope that my life and career will follow the path I’m trying to lay out for it, I’m feeling positive that laying the groundwork has been nothing but a pleasure.
Networking: Tedious but surprisingly easy.
One of the things I’ve spent a great number of hours doing is getting my name out to companies. Even the most accomplished writer had to step into a giant room that’s already populated by millions of people, and announce that he was there and why everyone should give a shit. This is how my first few days were spent, and there are aphenomenal amount of companies to email and say, “Hi, I am me, this is what I do, this is why you should care, this is what I can do for you, and this is where I ex
The article below needs to be preserved for the sake of history, and to inform those who are unfamiliar with my country. This crime is about as Aussie as a koala fart.
A man was punched in the face and had his beer stolen during a robbery in Melbourne's north-east early today.
Two men left the Northcote Railway Station and were walking east towards Arthurton Road just before 12.30am (AEDT), when three men approached them, a police spokesman said.
One of the trio asked one of the men for a beer, which he was carrying in a plastic bag.
The man handed over the beer but when he refused to hand over more the group surrounded the two men and punched the man not carrying the beer in the face.
The offenders took six cans of beer before fleeing.
"The victims said one of the men had a chain wrapped around his hand and believed that another was also armed with a knife," the spokesman said.
He said police were searching for three men described as a Caucasian, Asian and an Aboriginal
My buddy Sir Bryan avoids getting mugged by a butch Russian rent boy. A shove and snatch and he got his wallet and phone back.
A typically eye-opening and well-written post from one of the best, and certainly under-appreciated, gay blogs of the year: Homersexual's Expatter.
