Let me first say this has no link to the previous Sunday Sharing topics (the one Precious lead) I've been following closely to - reason for stopping as stated.
The new "Sunday Sharing" is just me sharing what I receive during Sunday mass - it can be bible extracts, positive/negative opinions and/or etc. (Hopefully Precious doesn't mind me continue using "Sunday Sharing" as a category name. And yes

The population of the European Union is avoiding decline mainly thanks to immigration from other parts of the world, as native Europeans have stopped making as many babies.
While anti-immigrant feeling is on the rise both amongst European politicians and the wider public, ironically, the union's population would soon go into decline without the immigrants that arrive here, a
Listening to Chinese and African leaders pronounce so passionately about Sino-African relations, one gets the impression that the citizens of China and Africa now walk hand in hand in that kind of love, peace and harmony which is preached only by the Holy Bible. One of things I most admire of Zapatero is his absolute way of making problems and then being unable to solve them… One of the best examples of that is immigration: he was the main supporter of the policy of “papers for all”, which caused (and still causes) massive deaths of immigrants in the Strait [...]

A new study finds that the United Kingdom will need to attract more highly skilled workers from abroad in order to "secure the future" of its high technology sector.
The study, authored by Katerina Rüdiger of non-profit think tank The Work Foundation, says that a climate of hostility towards immigration has the potential to hinder the ability of UK firms to attract the talent they need.
The United Methodist Church is urging justice for migrants worldwide and reform of U.S. immigration laws. Delegates to the denomination's top legislative body, meeting from 23 April - 2 May 2, adopted resolutions covering both global migration and immigration issues in the United States - writes Andrew J Schliecher. The US domestic resolution calls for "full protection of all workers, which includes the opportunity to gain legal status for all migrants." It also urges US lawmakers to ensure that immigrant laws do not rip apart families."To refuse to welcome migrants to this country and to stand by in silence while families are separated, individual freedoms are ignored, and the migrant community in the United States is demonized by members of Congress and the media, is complicity

It is with interest that I read about the problems showing up in places like Melbourne.
Keep in mind; I am talking about the many new African migrants coming to our country. Many, nasty incidents, but lets not forget a few things. Here is what one article stated: (Article here)
Mr Gony died after being bashed in what is believed to have been a racially motivated attack near Noble Park train station. Two men, aged 19 and 21, have since been charged with his murder. Today's assault also comes after a Sudanese teenager was bashed in Melton on Tuesday by a gang who stole his phone and sent racist text messages to his family and friends.
It seems, our government is trying to take the easy way out by simply blaming the new migrants. In this article it says:
With all due respect, Mr Talkback Caller, you are an idiot. We've got thugs of all colours -- white in particular -- now punching police and anyone else they find, and the Sudanese aren't the worst of them. While you were on the p

Federal agents discovered several dozen undocumented migrants from various Latin American countries stashed in a house in the Rio Grande Valley.
The bust by the Border Patrol took place Thursday after border agents checked out a house near San Juan, acting on a tip by its sister agency, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Agents arrested 58 immigrants — 43 men and 15 women. Thirty-three were Mexican nationals, with 19 Brazilians, three Hondurans, two Salvadorans and one Peruvian, according to the Border Patrol. None appeared injured or in ill health.
All were processed and detained at the agency’s station in Weslaco pending deportation hearings.

Deportation HEARINGS??? Why the heck do we need hearings to know someone is here illegally and should be on the next bus back where they came from? Talk about a complete waste of our tax money!

On the other hand, this makes the Vatican look kind of silly. With all of the problems in the world that require a strong, brave voice, the Vatican tackles driving? What's next, a Vatican proclamation on waiting in line at the post office?

MIAMI — Either by chance or by design, a growing number of Venezuelans — more than 2,000 since 2002 — are marrying Cuban refugees on the fast track for green cards, and drawing scrutiny from U.S. immigration officials.
The escalation coincides with Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez's increasing ties to Cuba's Fidel Castro, which have prompted thousands of Venezuelans to flee and then overstay their visas in the United States. In South Florida, attorneys say marriages between Cuban refugees and Venezuelan immigrants top the list of non-Cubans marrying Cubans, followed by Colombians and Mexicans.
For undocumented immigrants, marrying a Cuban with a green card can be their ticket to staying in the United States — and even a better deal

PHOENIX (Reuters) - Unknown gunmen fired on a truck packed with suspected illegal immigrants in southern Arizona early on Friday, killing two people and wounding a third, police said.
The gunmen killed a man and a woman traveling in a pickup truck near Green Valley, some 30 miles south of Tucson, Pima County Sheriff’s Department said.
Spokeswoman Dawn Barkman said the dead were believed to be Mexican immigrants traveling with three family groups from the poor southern Mexican state of Chiapas.
Barkman said two children were among at least 14 people packed into the extended-cab pickup truck.
Each year U.S. border police catch more than a million undocumented immigrants crossing north from Mexico, many of them through the desert corridor south of Tucson. There are an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the United States.
