I checked my mail box just now, the real mail box lar, not the email mail box. hehe.. Saw the telekom bill, opened up, and found it's a bit different. How different? Well, normally my telekom bill is kind of simple, why? becos i basically used the phone for streaymx only. I don't use the phone to call or to receive. So every month's bill is definitely RM27.30.But this month's bill, wahseh.. RM300++!!! WHAT??!! I further read the 3 pages long statement, i saw RM 66, ei, then only i realized they've merged the telekom bill with the tmnet's bill. okie, but it shouldn't be RM300++ also what. RM66 + RM 27.30 != RM300+, simple calculation i still know how to calculate one...I read further and only found out that they stated there my last month's tmnet's bill not paid. Cannot be what, i remembered i paid using maybank2u. Oh no, since they've merged the bill that means from now on i only need to pay to the Telekom, no longer Tmnet, but last month 2 separate bills, therefore i paid to
Avent is now called Philips Avent. Merged with the Dutch electronics giant, I suppose. No wonder I had difficulty finding the size 4 Avent bottle teats for the boys’ bottles. They had probably cleared out the old stocks and replaced them with new ones. Cheaper too! Pack of two now costs $6 nett at Mothercare. Used to cost about $10.
Talk Free7: Cell phone merged into laptopThe symbiotic relationship between cell phone and PC has seen the emergence of services such as PC-to-Mobile SMS, MMS, Net-to-Phone, browsing the Internet over the handheld and email through mobiles. Now, the latest in this ongoing synergy between PC and mobile is the integration of a cell phone into a laptop resulting in the two precious companions of the modern executive being available in one.DualCor Technologies is launching the ‘cPC’, a full-fledged handheld Windows XP computer that also consists of a built-in smart phone, which functions on Windows Mobile 5.0. The handset, measuring 6.5 x 3.3 x 1.2 inches, comes with a 5-inch diagonal screen.Sony and OQO have already brought out handheld Windows computers, but shorter battery life combined with below par performance stymied their sales. The use of advanced engineering and design techniques improved the performance of ‘cPC’ battery that lasts longer than eight hours, allowing users
A few weeks back I mentioned the amalgamation of Victoria and Coppenhall schools. As I have a 7-going-on-8-year-old we'll be thinking about secondary school choices in about two years' time. It's a big deal to both children and parents. We fall in the Coppenhall School catchment area. Anyway, it's been announced that current Victoria head Mark Stanyer will lead the new (combined) school from this Easter. Good. It's also an interesting and, potentially, a clever political move. I'm sure Mr Stanyer is a quality headmaster, but I wonder if the closure of Victoria has played a part? The new school will be sited on the existing Coppenhall plot so, in effect, much of the Victoria roots will disappear in a few years' time as the final pupils pass through the system. Getting current Victoria pupils to accept the move will be the tough part. There's always rivalry and maybe a bit of resentment. The worst of it will be kids crossing over this year and next, before Victoria closes. Having
