These are really great, I love them. As first glance it looks as if the lamp has fallen over and melted into the floor. It is really realistic and unless you actually go over and have a look at it, then you can see how it is made and that the melted bulb is part of the light fixing itself.
Made from a hard rubber type material, which mean there is less chance of the lamp being damaged if knocked or dropped. But by looking at, that probably would not even make any difference to the overall effect.

Several brainiacs or should I say researchers at MIT have figured out how to make a 60-watt light bulb glow by sending energy wirelessly 7 feet away from the power-generating device. As a result, it is very possible that cell phones and other gadgets will be recharged without being plugged in. Maybe the technology can be applied to recharging electric vehicles as well. The breakthrough technology first introduced in Science Express is being called "WiTricity" by the scientists. One major benefit to this new technology is that batteries may not be needed with their toxic chemicals. Additionally all those power cables will be a thing of the pass. However, the technology is way off from going mainstream. The technology is about 40-45 percent efficient because electromagnetic energy generated by the charging device would radiate in all directions. As a result, most of the energy from the charging device doesn't make it to the light bulb.
There are many reasons for having a light bulb on a key ring, but how would you power it up? Of course the mini light bulb has its own power source and is in reality a light in the shape of a light bulb, quite interesting though.

I don't know about you, but this is a great freebie for me because my wife and i were going to go to Home Depot today anyways because we are moving soon and we want to get some ideas. Inspired by the desire to prevent our societies from succumbing to global warming, I decided to take action this weekend. I was reviewing the Earth Day website to see if there would be any large gatherings on The Mall today, and pledged myself to Project Switch. The goal is to spur the widespread adoption of compact fluorescent lamps (CFL’s) which are more efficient, and longer lasting, than incandescent light bulbs.
Initially, I intended to head to Target or Home Depot, however their websites didn’t reflect much in the way of selection. I only have two floor lamps, and prefer to keep the 3-way lighting capability of my current bulbs. A quick Google search on the Internet turned up Energy Federation Incorporated’s Consumer Division Online Store, complete with an array of compact fluorescent lamps, including two types of 3-way bulbs.
