This song has been haunting me...
I've been trying to remember the lyrics.
Edited to add--The Cebu Song is no longer available on YouTube...Sigh...I am SOOOOOOOOO very sad.
We'll have to do with the pirate song. I love Veggie Tales. Larry is my hero. LOL!

Just for fun...

Talking about God and Jesus just got a little more hip, thanks to Penelope Trunk featuring some Christian bloggers on Brazen Careerist and mentioning that people of faith can be more productive. I mean, we’re all looking for the next edge right? While George Michael said it best, “You gotta have faith," no matter what your form of worship, I think it’s critically important to know what you are talking about before you start foaming at the mouth about someone else’s religion. Take this blogger’s denunciation of a Papal document citing a proclamation about the Catholic church being the one true church.*While this is old news (and by old, I mean biblically so) her post was further riddled with myriad misconceptions, gross over-generalizations, and cheap sensationalism, only pointing
Few things are worse then hearing your name paged over the airport speaker system informing, “Salt Lake City passenger, ‘Loralee Choat-ay’, please come immediately to gate E15. Your flight is holding and is ready for departure.”, when you SWEAR that you have 35 minutes until your flight leaves.
That is, there is nothing worse unless you [...]
There was that video from Common Craft which urged me to getting twitter‘ed’. It could prove efficient to pack all my bunch of net stumbles : just like some sort of SMSing+micro micro blogging - I think just micro blogging would be Tumblr.

I personally experienced this a lot for the last three days and it really did not help with my playing experience at all. What with trying to redesign the blog, research and write, edit, carry on 4 million email conversations and deal with the advertising side of things, all at the same time, the pace of posting here has suffered mightily. Posted on April 21st, 2008 3:44 pmWe know, we said this before, and it turned out to be old photos from 2003 and 2004 that celeb gossip magazines used to fool us all. Such ass clowns. Seriously, though - these Britney Spears pictures were actually taken this month, and both show the cutest, healthiest Brit we’ve seen in some time! With the exception of the pack of cigarettes, that is. Oh well. Small victories are still significant at this stage of the game, right? Here’s our girl …In the past couple of months, Britney Spears has been exercising a lot, staying away from clubbing and showing a positive attitude when it comes to pants. With a second go-around planned for her How I Met Your Mother gig, and a new tour supposedly in the works, things are really turning around for Brit.

I can say that I have been blogging for over a year now and yet I am not like all other young, expert bloggers out there. Before, whenever I saw an opportunity to make money online, I grab it. I have lots of clients. My tasks piled up until I cannot do all of them anymore. I have very good clients that I have turned down. It was very disappointing for my part. That is when I started to blog. I used my blog to make an online portfolio for my future clients. But, a few months later, my blogs disappeared. I was too excited when I had my first blog. I placed every ad I could find in my blog. That’s when Google disabled it. I was shocked. I sacrificed everything for my blog, my time and even my career.I know how it feels because I have worked with Smorty, Blogsvertise and Review Me. I used a f
Sorry for being missing in action lately. It's been busy, busy, busy, but I do need to get caught up on my comings and goings, AND post new pictures! Here's what I've been up to...* I've been working on a few commissioned pieces lately, which I'll photograph and upload once they're ready for delivery.* Also, I spent a little time in L.A. a week ago, and got some pretty cool grab shots (grab shots = pretty much just taken in extreme haste, anywhere I could "grab" them). I'll be going back to L.A. over the coming few weeks and I'm hoping to get some amazing shots. Not that hard in L.A. where there's so much to see and photograph.* I had my Blossom Trail photos posted on the Fresno County Tourism website!* Our art show was a great success and the owner invited us back! There have never been so much things being built in Prague as they are now. And prices of new flats are twice the prices that we had few years ago. I guess it's time to invest in countries such as Bulgaria now. Friend of mine has just bought two apartments here. He's great in investing his money :)I'll be out of Prague and internet connection for a few days. On the other hand I'll have a few rolls of Kodak Portra with me :)I'd also like to share a link to one wonderful blog called Lung S. Liu Journal.Have a great week!
I have been so tired lately and I don't feel grabbing any task though from PPP, neither. I am kind a bored of blogging though. But I am sure it is just probably today, I will be more fine tomorrow, hope so. Well, I am doing good, just a little bit busy here, doing some laundry, prepare some food for my son, taking good care of him at the same time while blogging really worn me out sometimes, so I guess I need sometimes to relax for a while. Anyway, we just got home around 10 in the evening last night, we just had our dinner at bd's mongolian barbeque and then we went to Children's Place to buy a shoes for my boy. And then, we went to Kmart afterwards to buy some things for the bathroom. And then, when I got home, I had one task to finish so I was done like 12 am so I didn't have time

This was mostly due to a few personal changes, nothing else. All emails I have been receiving lately with questions and suggestions for all the software are kept on hold and will have a follow up shortly, ok?Just wanted to let you all know that this site hasn't 'died' - just kept on hold for some time until I get a few things sorted out. Thank you all very much for all the people that cared to email back!Wishing you all a good new year of 2008, and keep watching this space, ok?

I recently came to the realization that I have not written a post about the Iraq war since December 4th, and my Iraq war postings have been seemingly more and more infrequent. Considering the fact that I began this blog to try to awaken people to the Islamo-fascist threat that we face, and most of my early posts were war related before it morphed into more of a conservative political news oriented blog, I began to wonder why.
The answer is painfully obvious. I search the internet on a daily basis looking for topics to write about and news articles to comment on. I have dedicated my blogging life to finding liberal news items and trying to offer a counter argument to them. In the beginning the Iraq war was in the news daily, and considering that I started this blog with the intention of raising awareness of Islamo-fascism and defending the Iraq war, the Iraq war news, or liberal propaganda as I see it, made for quite a few Iraq war postings almost on a daily basis. That was fine wi
I'm moving to a small town.
Technically I've known this for a year and a half, but there's something about house-hunting that makes it seem real.
I'm moving to a place where people on the sidewalks smile and nod instead of averting their eyes politely, the way I'm used to. I'm moving to a place where you can choose two houses to tour and discover that one of them is across the street from
Haven’t had much to say really, mostly cause things have been so busy. We recently got brave enough to list some of our things we make online and they’re actually selling. It’s a little overwhelming, just the fact that people like it and the orders are staying even and easy enough to handle. Everyone online been great about waiting on custom orders. We’re caught up and just kind of resting today.
Our dear friend is healing and we have been able to hear from her in the last couple days so that is so nice. It is still hard to be in the other room though if we’re home alone and at night we always forget and still say goodnight to our lovely pet :( Less tears now though, kind of been so busy that it is tough to cry when so many things need done. Not too many things but just enough to keep busy.
We are still around, just can’t think of much to say.
Thanksgiving is a day made special because it celebrates and focuses on what we’re thankful for in life and if we’re lucky, we get to celebrate that thankfulness with the people we love and cherish. Because of this, I chose to feature the romantic ballad “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You”. Be sure that on this day of thankfulness, you stop for a moment and tell all those you love how much they mean to you.
Northern Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison wrote the hit love song “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You” and included it on his 1989 album Avalon Sunset. It was originally written as a prayer, but is often played at weddings and is usually listed in the Top 10 Wedding or Wedding Dance songs.
Brian Hinton, Van Morrison’s biographer of Celtic Crossroads, wrote his impression of the first time he heard “Have I Told You Lately”. The song is “one of the finest love songs of the century, which I remember devastated me when
Visiting a pet store is always a fun thing for me to do. Whether I go to the small pet shop in my neighborhood or the fancy one in the shopping complex located in the heart of the city, it is always a thrill to see what’s new with the lovable pets to buy, or even just to admire.
It is quite a number of times that I went to the pet store to check out and buy great pets that I can give as birthday presents to some of my friends. And it certainly is a grand time to visit the pet shop not only because I get to buy nice pets for friends, but I also get to check out some for myself. Particularly, I look for new tropical fish that might be great addition to my (already crowded) aquarium.
Pet stores affect my decision on buying animals. The local one in our vicinity is small, quite limited in space, but nonetheless is well-kept and organized. They have a corner for their birds, while most of the space is occupied by rows of gargantuan aquarium filled with all kinds of tropical fish. What I

For anyone who checks out my site at all you might have seen that back in May of this year I decided to stop taking Cymbalta. It just felt that it was time to experience the world on my own and not under the influence of a mood elevator.
To my surprise, I was told that I could not just stop taking this medication but that I would need to taper down. Ok, not what I was planning on but I wanted to be successful at coming off Cymbalta so I followed my doctors advice.
To my dismay as soon as I started taking a lower dose my body started to go through withdrawal from Cymbalta. I couldn’t believe it. I thought that when I was in rehab detoxing and withdrawing from Oxycontin it would be the last time in my life that my body would be sick due to not having it’s drugs. I was wrong.
My doctor didn’t prepare me for what I was going to experience. I had flu like symptoms, canker sores, bone pain, total malaise (I was taking a four-five hour nap each day), exp

In piano class yesterday, Mr. Palmer was teaching Julia words to a song she will begin to play on the piano. There was a line about Father and Mother, so he asked Julia, “Who is Father?”
Julia turned around and pointed to Dave with a smile, “He’s right there!”
“And who is Mother?”
She pointed in my direction without even looking and said, “That.”
By: Steven BarnesThe most elusive quality of excellence, of peak performers worldwide and throughout history is that thing called "Mastery." What is this thing, and is it possible for ordinary people, however committed, to touch this exalted state? The answer is "yes," but I've got good news, bad news, and more good news. The first good news is that the path is deceptively simple. The bad news is that it is hard, and can be painful. The last, good news is that those on the path have no real competition-very few people are actually willing to be excellent in life. They want to talk about it, and dream about it, but are unwilling to actually pay the price. And this, as I've said, is very good indeed for those few of us who are.The first thing we must do is devise a useful definition of "Mastery" whether we are talking about this quality in the domain of writing and the arts, of interpersonal interactions, of intellectual pursuit. Then we must throw light on a pathway to this quality tha
One of the best parts of being a parent is how connected they remain to magic and wonder and how they are always ready to remind you of all the things you, as an adult, are often too busy to see.
A couple of days ago I was washing dishes with Princess Nibbles beside me when suddenly she exclaimed
“Mom, look! It’s a fairy!!”
I would like to tell you that I saw it as well, but alas I was not so lucky. My eyes don’t generally work that well and being sick and tired I was not really in a seeing fairies frame of mind. However Miss Angst, who looked out the window in hopes of poo-pooing her younger sisters claim gasped and said she saw it too.
I quickly dried off my hands, sent Miss Angst off to fetch a pretty crystal and we went outside to leave an offering in hopes of getting her to consider our yard her home. We also left out seeds and nuts for her (and the animals of the area) and over the weekend we left out some honey and water in a couple of small sea
My God...this should be my letterhead as of late. Life has been tres tres weird at Rancho Sudiegirl. As you probably read, my friend DD broke down at work on Tuesday after a hell weekend regarding cranking out a new database system, and he's been placed on medical leave until he's ready to come back. It's been quite ugly as he's been pointing fingers at management and he's got documentation of this stuff, so it's a "Silkwoodish" kind of thing, really.I helped him with his resignation letter (that was his original plan), and did lots and lots o' listening. To be honest, it's been weird because I'm the AA to the CIO (how many more acronyms can I use here?) of our division. I was growing increasingly more worried about DD by the day, and by Tuesday morning, I had to tell someone what I was noticing about his behavior. I felt like a damned snitch, to be honest.I mean, here he is...my friend DD pouring his heart out to me about how this project is going, and I can hear the an
Sitting here waiting to be inspired enough to write something about something, I was interrupted by my four-year old who wants me to walk behind him while he rides his bike around the neighborhood. This kid is very charming. I can’t say no.
Instead of telling you something, I’m going to ask you some questions. Answer either in the comments or repost to your blog. Feel free to pass it on.
1. What’s the last good book you read?
2. You’re embarrassed to admit you’ve read a particular book. What’s the title? (This is a safe place. You can tell me.)
3. What are two websites (blogs or not) that you are digging lately?
Since I missed out on some “UNLURK” thing-a-ma-jig last week, I’m making participation mandatory. If you read the above, you have to answer the questions. Or some bad stuff will happen, maybe. Like permanent wedgies, ingrown toenails, liver for dinner every night for three and a half months, split ends, unfortunate hair cuts
August Lately offers totes that are beautifully practical. You can choose your own fabric as well. The tote is sturdy enough to carry books and magazines and there are three front pockets for smaller items like your wallet and keys.
These totes are only $40 and are a great value. This would make a terrific gift this holiday season.
You can find them at http://www.augustlately.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=18_22&products_id=215 .
I have been very busy lately and haven't had time to post. I feel really bad that I have been neglecting my blogs but when you don't have the time there is nothing you can do. Not only that but I have been having trouble with my computer. Well it's not my computer but more than likely the dial up connection I have. I had to switch to a much cheaper internet and I'm telling you what, you definitely get what you pay for. It is People PC and it is only $6 a month for the first 3 months then $10.95 a month after that. It is so slowwwwwwww!!! I hate it./ I never had this much problem with MSN or Verizon but because of certain things going on at home we have had to cut down on things and trade in for cheaper things. For one thing this is my last night with a second phone line. I decided this on my own because with the slow dial up connection I can't get things done anyway and I'm not making the kind of money I should be. Plus with all of the extra things I have taken on off line, like
its been so unbelievably busy lately for me. Well part of it was my fault. I waited way to long to do my stuff for the telecommunications company and ended up having to cram it all in during the last week. plus my ads picked up big time this week and I had the biggest paying week I have ever had. its a good feeling tosee that much money on my log sheet at the end of the week.
I was going to reward myself wit ha day off today but then i checked the sites and saw how much work was sitting there for me and realized it was pointless.
Just got word from Sanyo that 'New York' (Tiffany Pollard) will be on the E-channel show 'Chelsea Lately', tonight.Have a look-see and tell me what transpired.I'll be back in a few minutes with Aurelius' recap of the Rock of Love Recap.
Thursday evening I was asked to escort a female friend to one of the local pubs, to meet up with two of her friends that were visiting from Cairns (Nth Queensland). Mmmm 3 Lesbians & a Poof. Anyhow while they were catching up I sipped on my Johnnie & Coke, watching the other patron's and I began to wonder about something. Whats in a look? There was one young man, 'clearly' inebriated. I could see that he was looking in my direction, straining to reach and maintain eye contact. His facial expression gave away his difficulty in trying to focus. And at that point I thought to myself, could he honestly expect anyone to find him remotely attractive, given his current state. Was he hoping I would feel charmed enough to make a move? All I wanted to do was take away that which fuelled his inhibitions & then ask management why they were not refusing him at the bar. Having worked in clubs it was easy to detect that he had consumed an unsatisfactory amount of liquor. Mind you, anyon
Brian Hyland's puppy-love pop virtually defined the sound and sensibility of bubblegum during the pre-Beatles era. In the years after his teen idol stature faded, he enjoyed a creative renaissance, releasing a series of underrated country-inspired efforts and even making a brief return to the pop charts. Born November 12, 1943, in Brooklyn, NY, as a child Hyland studied guitar and clarinet while singing in his church choir. At 14 he co-founded a harmony group dubbed the Delfis, which cut a demo they shopped to various New York City record labels. Hyland ultimately signed as a solo artist to Kapp Records, and in late 1959 issued his debut single, "Rosemary." For the follow-up, "Four Little Heels (The Clickety Clack Song)," the label paired him with the Brill Building songwriting duo of Lee Pockriss and Paul Vance, and when the single proved a minor hit, Pockriss and Vance set to work on the follow-up. The resulting "Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" topped the Billboard
I’ve been super busy lately. Well, I’m Back. My new job is amazing and it keeps getting better.
I am learning new things daily. I have loved the creative and challenging aspects. I cannot mention the details of the things I am and will be working, but I can share the experience. I have always loved working, achieving, “making something of myself”. It creates opportunity for growth and development. In a stressful day, I always find my way to relax: watch a good movie and drink my hot choco.

We’ve been repainting a few of the sunday school rooms at the church lately, and it came to me that so much of the time we take certain things for granted.
How a room is painted, the detail given to painting around all the trim work, etc.
Now we didn’t do anything fancy with murals or anything, but just gave it a basic white paint coat.
And today as I sit here with dried white paint still all over my fingers, I am satisfied with the basics, the simplicity of white.
I guess I am going through “a phase” to get back to basics and rediscover the joy of the simple forms of art too.

It’s been too hot to think, move, do crafts, sleep… it’s hot. The massive heat supposed to fade a bit soon. It’s too hot to bike ride safely. We’re working up the bravery to bike alone. It’s scary. Had planned to try this week but dude, it’s not worth getting heatstroke just to try being brave!
Going to try to find some yarn for a couple Ravenclaw projects to knit. A scarf and a bag. We took all those sorting hat quizzes, a few were gryffindor, a couple slytherin, a lot of Ravenclaw, and a couple hufflepuff. So we’re going with Ravenclaw, since my husband is Gryffindor. That way we have different scarves on :) (And he won’t wear mine by mistake and get it grubby!)

I've been interested in robots ever since I was a little boy, as were many boys that grew up in my era.
I had a few robotic toys as a child too and I would always tear them apart to see if I could learn anything.
Most of them were "cheap" and weren't very impressive. The coolest thing they had back in the 70's when I was really young was "rock 'em sock 'em robots. Yes they were kinda cheap and
Yucky candyAnyone visiting a foreign country usually will come across a brand name or two that sounds funny to them in their language.Take these candies, for example. Please take these candies. They are awful. The worst is the mango flavored Mini Bum. El Jefe bought a 2-pound bag of these and they tasted like a mini bum all right. Man! I've tasted mangoes and believe me, Mini Bum is no mango. Luckily we had some Honduran visitors with children who don't get candy very often and they gobbled them all up. I kept refilling the bowl and they kept eating. Who the heck wants to eat anything called a bum?Hondurans seem to have a propensity for medicinal flavored candy. Jill wrote a hilarious article once about how the upscale restaurants serve a Hall's mentholyptus cough drop with the check. Gawd! They are horrible. But because of that preference for medicine, the Alka Ice must be really popular. Yum! Alka seltzer flavored candy. Kill two birds with one stone.American Ice Cherry plays on

I have had several questions lately about PayPerPost. They pay you to post about products and services on your blog. I like it because there isnt a minimum amount of post tom ake per month or at all. That lets me only choose the companies that I actually like or use personally.I like that because it still gives me controll of my blog and doesnt make me selling out to the man!!! LOL!I referred some of my blogging friends and they all really enjoy it as well. I didnt refer anyone at all until I had done a few posts and gotten paid according to schedule. Its a great way to get extra cash straight to your paypal account. Post can earn you anywhere from a buck to hundreds of dollars. Its well worth the few minuets it takes to post things. I even like looking through the posts available because I have found some really cool companies, products and services. Give it a try! Who couldnt use extra money?payperpost
When it comes to waste, water is something that is perhaps overlooked. We all know that a vast majority of the world is covered with water but this does not mean that we have lots of water to spare. Why else do you think we hear about water shortages here and there? Water is essential to the body and the resources are being used up for a useless cause.
In most homes, plumbing fixtures are critical. Most of the time, we only think of them when we hear a leaky faucet or find them dripping largely without control. Many people would want to save on spending for their homes but plumbing fixtures are something that offers more than saving water. It also helps in ensuring that all water that we use is put towards good use. Can you imagine a world without water? Hopefully we do not reach that dry spell we often term and use today.

So a dear reader asks, "You mentioned before that you are a big chick lit fan. I'm sorta getting into it now. I need some suggestions on what books to read. What have you read lately? What do you recommend?"Yes, darling, I love chick lit. I don't care if the real literary people call them shallow and frivolous. I believe gals who read chick lit novels are happy gals because the books ARE light-hearted and humurous, and they teach you, at the end of the day, not to take things so seriously and just live your life. The last few books I read are these ones. Wiped!: Life with a Pint-size Dictator $11.16, by my favorite Canadian newspaper columnist/novelist Rebecca Eckler. It's a followup to her first book, Knocked Up: Confessions of a Modern Mother-to-be $7.97, that I read a couple of years ago. She chronicled her "accidental" pregnancy and the first two years after her baby's birth in these two books. They are incredibly hilarious and brutally honest (She calls her baby the
We've been getting some rain lately in the afternoons all over Kona. They even had pretty good rains at the airport on Wednesday and Thursday eves, the airport might see 10-15 inches of rain a year. Today was quite nice though, although we've got north winds (I haven't watched the news lately, but it's probably from whatever front brought in the rain).Thought I'd put up a little manta update since I haven't posted one in a while. They apparently had three tonight. It's been pretty darned good the last few weeks. We went out the middle of last week and had 8-10 on the dive, and it hasn't let off much since, although tonight's number was a bit down. I've got a night charter planned for Tuesday on my friend's boat... can't wait 'til mine's finished with the rebuild. This eel is a Stout Moray (Gymnothorax eurostus). We see them relatively frequently on dives here, although not with the frequency of a few of our other species of eels. They're not as large as some, that

It's been my third trip to the theatre to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3 with no luck, every time I have gone it has been sold out. I was being treated to a movie by a co-worker and there was no way I was going to let that pass so I decided to choose a random flick from the board in the 5pm time slot, after all I had a choice of 4 films in 5 theaters (Pirates was being shown in two). I've already seen Spiderman 3 (crap) and Shrek the Third (disappointing), so guess what was left? The Reaping. I am not a horror movie fan, mainly because lately most of them have been nothing but a gore exhibition, but I remembered seeing a trailer for the Reaping some months back and thought it was interesting.
Without divulging to much of the plot, in one corner you have a female ordained Christian minister who lost her husband and child who were sacrificed to appease the gods :D, in another corner you have a black man with more bullet wholes that pores, but thankfully as is the norm with black peopl

I feel the need to apologize for the lack of fresh content lately on travel-junkie.com, but as you might know I am leaving in a few days for Melbourne and there is still loads to do. To add to all this my brother has decided to move to Munich a few weeks ago and has just now found a new apartment, so I’ll help him get some of his stuff over there as well.
A few days ago I couldn’t find my passport. I was almost panicking. Searched for a full hour until I remembered that I might have left it in the car. Thankfully it was there!! There’s no way I could have gotten a replacement before I’m supposed to fly off and I never bother with travel cancellation insurance. Would have cost me loads of money…
Last friday was my leaving party. Thankfully I wasn’t working yesterday. Felt horrible the whole day. Maybe I should just not drink for a while, like Paul, from travmonkey.com, but then that would be extremely difficult in the next week or two, so maybe later
A few weeks back I stopped by at Taman Suropati with the intention to take photos of Pangeran Diponegoro sculpture, which has been posted at Statues of Jakarta.

In the last several days, we have had superfan Paul Brogan rapping about his favorite NBA players, Kobe and Tyra Banks trying to bust a rhyme, and Madden 2008 cover boy Vince Young giving it his best effort. Now you can add Bulls guard Ben Gordon into the mix of those killing the art of rap. Ben is "The Rainmaker", in case you didn't know.(The Tip: The FanHouse)

Last week, I had a picture of PAMELA ANDERSON cuddling a furry bunny rabbit.
The winner of that comp was oldham with “When I said: ‘I have no man, get me a rabbit’, this is not what I had in mind!”
Other worthy entries include alibopding with “Pammi advertises her new range of underwear, the peep hole bunny bra” and Moidiaro’s “Oh how I scoffed when they said all that sun oil would put hairs on my chest.”

Confounded Computers ( Read: How Do I Get It To Do That Again!? )
As I have recently begun to make use of Adobe's Photoshop CS line of product again, in this case, Photoshop CS3 (extended), I found myself at a complete loss as to how to actually use the software. This is actually quite embarrassing, as I am normally able to just adapt to whatever the computer throws in my general direction. After about half an hour of playing with the software, watching my set of images not improving, I began to contemplate a few things:
Perhaps I was too hard on those folks, back in the college days, when they seemed to not even be trying to learn the new software, when it was "obviously" so "easy" for "everyone" else.
I couldn't find a single good free tutorial online for Photoshop CS3. A dying breed of knowledge, perhaps?
CS3 was new enough, that the local library would not have a book on the subject yet.
I would need to BUY a book on learning CS3.

See, their ears do stand up!Oh, my. I've become quite a slacker lately. Here are some of the things going on:We're almost finished painting the garage. It looks fabulous for a garage. Too bad we have to stuff it back full of all our junk − mostly MY gardening junk. A girl rang the bell this morning looking for work. Hmmm. She's 17 and has a 7-month-old baby. She and her boyfriend just broke up. Doesn't sound promising. She starts tomorrow. Frank didn't show up for work today. We'll know tomorrow if he quit or just wanted a long weekend. We sold a puppy! What a lucky little guy this is. He's going to be living the good life. The gringo folks who bought him have a 5,000 sq.ft. home in San Pedro, a home on Roatan, a yacht, a sailboat, and a plane. Can I come, too? They also have a toy poodle who is thrilled that his folks brought home a little squeak toy chihuahua for him to play with. Life is good. Chloe the Rottweiler is in heat again already. El Jefe wants to breed her wit

I’m a pretty punctual person. I get the kids to school on time, I show up at church ten minutes before the service starts, I have dinner on the table when Andrew shows up at 6:00pm. I do my washing on Mondays and Fridays, plan my menu on Wednesdays so I can shop on Thursdays and clean the house on Fridays. I’m like clockwork. But lately I’ve been behind. Five minutes here, ten or fifteen there, as I rush from activity to activity, putting extra miles on the car and never quite ready for the next item on my list. I'm showing up late to nearly everything, forgetting appointments, rushing around till I'm ready to toss my Palm out the window. It starts early when my alarm goes off at 6:40 (or doesn’t go off at all) and my day picks up from there. My planner is starting to resemble a flight information board at an airport with its tightly spaced lists of arrivals and departures only my board is littered with "flight canceled" and "flight delayed" notices.Once a flight gets del

The last couple of weeks have been quite frustrating, yet seem to have flown by ever so quickly. I spent another weekend with my EX, helping him clean his Father's salt water, marine tank. It looks fabulous now, however I was stunned to see the state of it when I first saw...I was surprised to see there were actually 'living' fish...He cooked me a nice dinner Friday night & we sat and talked, watched movies...And then it happened...I got a tingling sensation on my left ear, I knew damn well what that meant & sure enough the next morning I woke up with a darn 'cold sore', blistering, itching, aching mess it was...My glands were swollen, I had a head & ear ache...I know you may be thinking cold sores usually appear around the lips or under the nose.... Hell NO.... I couldn't possible fit into he majority, it would not seem right for the unique individual that I am..... Pffft...Yes indeed I get cold sores on my ears...Blah!I do have a photo, but I wont give cause for y'all to b
*The following is a series of thoughts basically to get a few things out so I can resume as normal after my short break.
Artists by nature seem to stand in contention with their age. Van Gogh only sold one painting in his lifetime and now his work sells for millions. Is there an unwritten rule that says that any art worth having is a dead artists work?
I recently made a trip down to our local Art association. They have a small gallery in town and I wanted to at least check it out. I left as a member. As a member you can submit work to the gallery for free and sell through them. I thought this was a great place to display locally. Better than the coffee shops I have been displaying in.
I am still waiting to get my camera. I have decided on the Nikon D80 with sigma lenses. Too many expenses (getting taxes done) happened this month. So decent original images here will probably have to wait just a little longer. This frustrates me, but I will make do.
With the end of the m
I'm such a big procrastinator. I never do things straight away. It's a habit I've been trying to break, but very unsuccessfully. Here's my latest list of 'to do another day'1. Blogging. I don't what's been going on lately, but I just haven't been in the mood for it. Plus my creativity levels are at an all time low. I'm working on it. I think more sunshine is just what I need!2. Reading blogs/commenting. All I can say is SORRY!3. Emailing. I probably should have just written 'all things computer-related' but I've always been a bit long-winded :)4. Housework. I'm sure this would be on everyone's lists, right? At the moment, I still have three loads of laundry to do, the bedlinen to be changed, the hoovering to be done upstairs, the kitchen floor to be swept and the dusting. Sigh. Possibly some ironing.5. Going to playgroups. I feel bad about this one, because everytime we go, Elliot has a fantastic time, but all the other mothers are so distant and unfriendly, it puts me o
Considering the glut of Christian books out there, much of which is bad (I'm trying to be nice and not call it crap. Oops, I just did.). When I was a wee lad my mother worked in the local sewage treatment plant testing water for heavy metals like lead, mercury, and Metallica. Every so often she'd have to go out to the sludge pile to get a sample. At the pile there were workers who'd go out for her sinking up to their knees in all sorts of vile waste to get her sample. My mother, being barely 5'1" would have sunk up to her neck. I see the Christian writing community in much the same light as that pile of sludge. Sometimes you have to get waste deep in it in order to find what you need and you hope to God you don't sink up to your neck before you do! Few in the publishing world are taking notice. I for the most part have greatly reduced the amount of Christian books I read. I almost never read Christian fiction. My pastor introduced me to CCEL where I gladly spend most of
I’ve just changed my blog theme, again. I even put a new header on it as well. Now, I think I like this format better than the previous themes I’ve tried out and should appeal to everyone out there reading this blog, not just me.
I won’t be updating this blog for awhile because I’m planning on spending more time working on my other blog, Dinosaurs: A Creationist’s Fairy Tale (link in my Blogroll), because there is a lot going on that has to do with what my blog is dealing with right now. So, it’ll be awhile before this blog is updated again.
In the meantime, enjoy another C.O.P.S. for Kids video!
While going through my Google Reader, i stumbled upon a blog post at Paul Stamatiou’s on the importance of periodically checking the Akismet anti-spam service in the Wordpress pannel.
Akismet is a wordpress plugin that is aimed to reduce comment and trackback spam. The plugin is bundled into the default Wordpress.org installation, however ti requires the Wordpress API key to get activated (API key is avaialable after signing up with Wordpress.com).
Today, i logged to my Wordpress 2.1 CP, went to Comments>> Akismet spam, and was surprised to see that around 5 out of my 15 “spam” comments were fully legitimate.
Lesson learned: check your Akismet spam periodically ( i would say every other day) as it might have spammed legitimate stuff.
My two cents on this.
