Firefox language pack provides adware back-door
Mozilla has warned that the Vietnamese language pack of Firefox 2 was compromised as a result of a viral infection. The language pack did not contain a virus itself, but code that resulted in users seeing unwanted ads. More malicious action might have been possible as a result of the security flaw, the probable result of a developer's machine getting infected rather than a deliberate backdoor.

      Thoughts on Language Acquisition
I was talking to someone the other day (I forget who), and this individual brought up the fact that Condoleeza Rice’s Russian is “so bad.” This person thought it was reprehensible that someone who studied Russian in university spoke the language so poorly. But the thing is, I completely understand. In order to maintain one’s foreign language abilities, one must constantly practice and study. I received my BA in Russian in 2001. At that time, my spoken Russian, while not fluent, was pretty damn good. However, from Summer 2001 to Summer 2005, I neither practiced nor studied Russian. Additionally, during that time I made two extensive trips to South Korea, traveled all over Costa Rica, and lived in Southern California within walking distance of the Mexican border. Cat Body Language
Cats are funny. They just are! But what does their body language tell us? Here are some assumptions:Cats will twitch the tips of their tails when hunting or angry, while larger twitching indicates displeasure. They may also twitch their tails when playing. A tail held high is a sign of happiness, or can be used as a greeting towards humans or other cats (usually close relatives) while half-raised shows less pleasure, and unhappiness is indicated with a tail held low. A scared or surprised cat may puff up its tail and the hair along its back may stand straight up and turn its body sideways to a threat in order to increase its apparent size.Tailless cats who possess only a small stub of a tail move the stub around as though they possessed a full tail, though it is not nearly as communicativ

A main problem of political regionalism in France is the actual definition of regions. M. Charles-Brun set out the factors which should be considered and, though old, his enunciation of principles is still of interest. He began with general matters of climate, geology, relief, orientation, natural products, race, customs, history and language. Next, he pointed out that "homogeneity, which is the fundamental feature of the pays, should not, in so far as the region is concerned, be exclusive of a certain amount of variety". The region should "combine opposed elements". Thirdly, he argued that new tendencies, particularly of an economic character, should be taken into account, since professional organizations will be based on a regional system. Under this head he includes population and comme

It is the basis of culture, as we all know; but it is infinitely more than that: it is the basis of business. No salesman can sell anything unless he can explain the merits of his goods in effective English (among our people), or can write an advertisement equally effective, or present his ideas, and the facts, in a letter. Indeed, the way we talk, and write letters, largely determines our success in life. Now it is well for us to face at once the counter-sta

Body Language in an Interview Situation.
When you are being interviewed it is very important that you give out the right signals through your body language, which accounts for 65% of what's being communicated. Body language can give away a lot of our feelings, whether good, such as attentiveness and enthusiasm; or bad, such as nervousness and dishonesty. The way in which you use the combination of your body language and tone of voice and the words you use, will speak volumes about what you are feeling. Body Language * To begin with, you need to be in a confident and comfortable position to help avoid negative body language habits. You should always look attentive - so don't slouch in your chair. * Fidgeting shows boredom, restlessness and lack of confidence in what you are saying. * Touching your face or playing with your hair
