      Home-Made DIY F35 Jet Plane
Here’s a guy who made a F35 Joint-Strike Fighter Jet on his own. Though it can’t fly, it is capable of being driven around. He even added an extra seat at the top of the plane just so that he could ferry his son!   That’s really some cool work done on [...]

I haven't been to England since my last trip back in May so this remote working is really beginning to work for me. For the first few years I was going back every three weeks but have cut it down to over three months! But that was mainly because I hate airports during th

      Text-ing On A Jet Plane…
I went to Chicago last week for the long-weekend family reunion that my mom’s side holds every other year. The coolest thing this time ‘round was the yellow school bus my cousins and I rented to go from the ‘burbs to barhopping in downtown Chi-town! The second-coolest aspect of the weekend was the dominance of [...]

John Denver - Leaving On A Jet Plane
This Friday Song Of The Day comes to you a bit earlier in the week, because well… I am leaving on a jet plane today. Where am I going? Nice, balmy Fairbanks, Alaska! I have a new job and will be doing some job training at the company’s headquarters. Of course for this occasion I just had to do John Denver - Leaving On A Jet Plane. This song can be found on his Voice Of America album. All my bags are packed, I’m ready to go. I’m standing here outside your door I hate to wake you up to say Goodbye But the dawn is breaking it’s early morn The taxi’s waiting he’s blowin’ his horn Already I’m so lonesome I could die CHORUS So kiss me and smile for me Tell me that you’ll wait for me Hold me like you’ll never let me go ’cause I’m leaving on a Jet Plane Don’t know when I’ll be back again Oh babe I hate to go There’s so many times I’ve let you down So many times I’ve played around I tell

I'm leaving on a jet plane...
I used to be an event coordinator in my pre-Mommy days. I was unattached and free to travel the world at a moment’s notice. It was pre-9/11 and I had zero anxiety about flying. I would stay at the best hotels and schmooze, schmooze, schmooze. *Sigh* those were the days. Long ago, I accepted that fact that those days were O-ver and that I traded them in for being CEO of Our Household while making a little cash on the side being a work-from-home, pajama-wearing Internet Researcher (yep, my actual title) for a start up company. I'm not complaining (much) about my current gig, I've got it good...really...but sometimes I miss who I used to be. Well, guess what?! I’m about to dust off my suitcase and trade in my pjs for business casual attire…. I’m headed to Vegas, baby! To a little Expo called Blog World. Heard of it?! Literally just found out this morning that we’re setting up a booth and I get to go. I leave in less than 24 hours! It’s going to be a

to....drum roll please...Salt Lake City. I know, exciting isn't it. Hangin' with the Mo-Fos (Mormon folks). I'm leaving super early tomorrow morning for a work trip. We're sponsoring an event and since I'm the marketing/PR guy, I've got to be there. So off I go.I'm renting a car and driving to the southern 'burbs. Hopefully I won't get lost. Their numbering system is confusing as hell. I don't know who came up with it, but it really doesn't work for me. For example, where would 300 South, 600 West be? Hell if I know. I do know it has something to do with the Mo-Fo temple, but it's all Greek to me. What's wrong with good old street names? It's only my second time to SLC. Last time I went it was a quick overnight trip as well, but it was in December. And I almost got snowed in. This time the weather is supposed to be nice. Similar to here in Vegas, but colder at night. Not so bad.------------------------------------------------In other interesting, or not, news...We went to

      On a Jet Plane
Sometimes, I want to just get where I’m going and not have to hassle with booking a flight… staying in line in security, and going through the whole rigamarole of the airport. And if I could, I would instead Charter Flights from Elite Jets, because then I could go straight through. And have the luxury I really want. And I bet I could keep the dogs with me in the cabin, too (I wonder if they have dog planes?), and go to agility trials all over the place. These guys will find the best price for you when you become a client. Business trips will become easier, and personal amenities will be comfortable. And wow, look at the gorgeous planes on their website. I love small airplanes. My favorite flight ever was when I went in a glider. So quiet, so tranquil. I love small jets. And with Elite Jets, you can save up to 30% over other jet charter services. Elite Jets finds the best price for you, and your unique needs and travel plans. So next time you look for a Jet Charter servi

      Leaving On A Jet Plane....
Our vacation begins tonight. FINALLY! Barring no delays, we'll be on the red-eye flight to Charlotte, NC late tonight. We have a connection to New Bern at 7:30 a.m. We decided on the overnight flight because of Zane. Grace is very nervous about taking a long flight with him. I'm not as worried. Hopefully he'll sleep. I think he will. Based on my past flying experience, red-eye flights are generally very quite and dark, with most people snoozing away. Unless, of course, Zane is screaming. Then nobody will be sleeping. We're bringing his car seat on the plane because he actually does better when he's strapped into the seat. We're keeping our fingers crossed. During our week-long trip I'll try to post some updates with photos. However, it definitely won't be everyday. IT'S A VACATION!Rothfamilyadventures.com

SilverJet is a British airline which does shuttle jumps between New York and London. The airline features such things as thirty minute check in, a crew to passenger ratio of one to ten, and flat beds.Recently they have been pitching women only rest rooms. They call this Silver Class Service:I might call it Lipstick Service. P.S.--The ladies over at the AfterEllen Blog are making an alternative list to Maxims 100 Hotest. How do you think they are doing? At least I am pretty sure Lindsay Lohan won't make Numero Uno.To avoid widespread ridicule, I left Kelly Ripa off my contribution:)~Becky

Rumble: I Am Leaving on a Jet Plane
The past two days, I spent mostly doing the last chores around the house, and laying in a hammock in the garden. When I closed my eyes, all the sounds became so clear. The fizzling of the leaves overhead, the buzzing of the insects, the song of so many birds, the laughter of kids playing nearby.I just lay in the hammock. Looking at the sky. At the trails of a plane. How symbolic, laying in the cosiness of my home, looking at the trails of a plane. The dilemma of the leaving and the wanting to stay. The hollowness of the absence of loved ones leaves, and the eagerness to chase rainbows. The pain is there. But the horizon is calling. I have to go.
