In this off-topic and unrelated rant, I just want to express my utter frustration with comment feature on blogger blogs. It seems like it was made by monkeys and designed by cows.How could anyone in their sense for usability create a blog comment feature that takes you to another page, where you do not even see the post you are commenting on and figuring out how to sign is harder then launching a rocket to the moon. And you can not even automatically link to your website!Come on Google, it is your reputation at stake! Do something about and do something quick!I expect this post to have zero comments, and I sympathize with you.
Someone once said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. As a trainer, I see a lot of this. People want to get in shape, but most don’t make lasting changes in their lives. The results we want are not achieved, the goals we set are not reached, and we’re right back where we started. If you want a drastic change, you must re-vamp your lifestyle. For example, if you really want to get rid of that extra back fat or that spare tire, do you really think you can do it while you continue to eat the way you currently do with only minor changes?

For over 1000 years, mercury was used as a cure for a wide variety of illnesses -- even though mercury cures nothing and causes symptoms such as chest pains, heart and lung problems, coughing, tremors, violent muscle spasms, psychotic reactions, and delirium. Trepanation (drilling holes in the skull) was at one time commonly used as treatment for seizures and migraines.
But not all of the practices were in the distant past. The diet pills popular in the 1950’s and 1960’s were, in actuality, highly addictive amphetamines. From the 1940’s through the 1960’s lobotomies were a popular "cure" for nearly every mental issue you can think of, from schizophrenia to depression to anxiety.
