      Illness/Recovery
What happens if I file bankruptcy (my second, the last one was discharged in 2004) and then I inherit a significant amount of money? Am I given the option of paying the creditors and therefore getting out of bankruptcy status before the 14 years are up and therefore, regain a good credit rating?

Internet addiction as a mental illness
While unlikely that this will end up in the DSM-IV anytime soon, the idea of internet addiction as a mental illness is nothing new. The question is, is this really a mental illness or the standard compulsive issue that people deal with. Or is it more of a necessity in today’s way of working than [...]

Gulf War Illness Linked To Chemical Exposure
Up to one-third of Gulf War veterans suffer from chronic, multi-symptom health problems. The symptoms include fatigue, muscle or joint pain, memory and sleep problems, rashes and breathing troubles. The symptoms could be caused by exposure to pesticides, nerve agents and other chemicals. The classes of chemicals most likely to be the cause are acetylcholinesterase inhibitors and organophosphates, which includes nerve gas. Longer combat tours increase risks of mental illness
Could longer combat tours increase risks of mental illness? It might be of no surprise, but government medics have found that the longer soldiers stay in combat, the more likely they are to have mental problems. Soldiers with three or more combat tours aren’t getting enough down time between deployment, according to the results from the just-released 2007 Mental Health Advisory Team study. The team surveyed 2,300 soldiers returning from their third tour from Iraq and nearly 700 more from Afghanistan. They found that noted nearly 28 percent of soldiers returning from their third tour showed signs of significant stress and mental health problems, which was significantly higher than the roughly 18 percent seen in troops returning from their first or second deployment, reports Stars And

      Injury-Illness Bug Hits Canucks
Well, there's good and bad news coming out of the Canucks' camp following last night's slaughter of the Predators. Aaron Miller's shoulder was not separated after being hit by Jordin Tootoo. That means he won't miss much time. He will not play Saturday against the Blues, but a fully capable Mike Weaver will. That's good news. Now on to the bad news.-Kevin Bieksa injured his wrist after his fight with Greg DeVries. I bet it was that first punch that did it. Nice overhand right. His wrist was X-rayed today, but there is no further word on his prognosis. Bieksa had a great game and it's a shame he had to hurt himself in a fight. We need him in the lineup. Save the fighting for the GOONS!-Ryan Kesler took a shot off the foot last night and hobbled off the ice in serious pain. Then he came back

      Illness sets is ...
As if me being laid up on the couch feeling nauseous all day wasn't enough, Princess JF seems to have caught a stomach bug! She told me yesterday at lunch that her tummy hurt, and I figured she just didn't want to eat lunch. About an hour later she climbed up on my lap and was burning up. Super Dad was supposed to work late yesterday, but when Princess JF threw up around 5pm, I called him and asked him to come home ... I couldn't handle it alone since I was already feeling bad myself! She seemed fine around 8:30pm last night ... dancing around with Princess JL after her medicine kicked in. Went to bed, then woke up this morning ... with a fever of 102 again. So, we've been taking it easy in bed. She had a nice bath while I showered, and then some more medicine and a piece of toast. We put

The root of critical illness insurance lies in South Africa.
