"Mario Paint" Plus "Guitar Hero" Equals Seven Minutes Of Mushroom-Hopping Bliss [Midi Nostalgia Dept.]
You may have noticed that I'm blogging solo today. It's not bad, really! Although the news cycle is a bit dry. So while I try and figure out the ramifications of the British government's announcement that they'll start monitoring its citizens' file-sharing habits, please enjoy this Mario Paint version of Dragonforce's Guitar Hero-busting "Through The Fire And Flames." Krabi Islands Hopping and Cruising
Activities and things to do:If you're planning a day out at sea, the traditional wooden longtail boats found on all mainland beaches are your best option for independent island hopping. There are also frequent 'taxi boats' running from Ao Nang to Ton Sai and Railay Beach. These wait until they have enough passengers (in theory 5, but in high season they usually hold out for 10 or more) to depart. Buy coupons for the boats at the booth on the corner of the beach road opposite Phra Nang Inn.Prices for trips are fixed by the boatmen's club (i.e. are not able to be bargained down) and displayed on a board outside the ticket office. The prices are the same all year round and children under 12 travel free.Boats can also be found at Nopparat Thara; Chao Fah pier in Krabi Town; Klong Muang; and Railay. Prices may vary slightly from those in Ao Nang, depending on how much closer or further away from the destination you are. In these destinations you pay the driver directly (no tickets). The

      Department Hopping
Sometimes I kind of envy my friends that work in big companies. Why ar? Everybody knows working in big companies means good benefits, bonus and etc. But i don't envy them because of these things. The thing i envy is the chance to transfer to departments, different departments. For eg, my friend was in dept A when she just joined the comp, a yr later, she felt boring and requested to join dept B. She got 0 knowledge on the things she needs to do in Dept B but still they accepted her. When she transferred over to dept B, there's an increment for her, it's still the same old working environment BUT with new and more challenging work! How nice!! Then she can keep on requesting to transfer dept whenever she feels bored and keep on learning new things. This is the thing i envy!!Job hopping is no fun, but dept hopping sounds fun! Don't you think so?

Pam Sanders is our featured artist this month with some wonderful bright and imaginative pieces. Pam is a very eclectic artist who has been creating since high school. She began with drawing and painting and has evolved into "anything goes". A detail from this one: Pam first began showing her hand sculpted polymer clay dolls and still incorporates polymer clay into her mixed media collages. Her work is best described as abstract expressionism. Myth, ancient cultures and fantasy novels are her inspirations. Pam's mixed medial collages are made with hand painted papers, and bold bright color and texture are used to create depth. Her work is fascinating and I really encourage you to come check it out since she will only be showing her till October 1st. The next artist is an artist that was sho

In-fact, I would even say that search engine optimization is still in it's crawling phase, and we're going to see a lot of changes and growth in the field within the next 15 years. If you're not on the bandwagon yet, you should seriously consider hopping on right about now.Every business that has the power to be online is quickly discovering the power of optimizing for search engines like Google and Yahoo. Even major corporations are beginning to realize the power of search engines and - even though they hardly need it - they are optimizing themselves online to reap the benefits associated with the number one spot on a Google, Yahoo, or MSN search. We're talking giant fortune companies, the ones with millions of millions of dollars invested in their websites, getting interested in optimization. When giant companies, who gained billions of links over the past thirty years - witho

Lindsay Lohan's Post-Rehab Club-Hopping Could Lead To Relapse, Experts Warn

Not a good look, according to addiction specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky, co-host of the syndicated show "Loveline." "My expectation was that we were going to see more recovery because she extended her stay appropriately and seemed to be following the advice of professionals," said Pinsky of Lindsay Lohan's Saturday trip to a Sin City nightclub (see "Lindsay Lohan Leaves Rehab After 45 Days, Celebrates In Vegas"). "The problem is that early in treatment, you don't have this active craving, and you think you can walk into an environment and be around the old triggers and not have it

Visiting the different beaches was a great way to celebrate my 28th. Located in Sta. Lourdes Tagbanua, Puerto Princesa City about 12 kilometers east of the town proper. In the wharf, pump boats could be hired to the different islands. Some islands require an entrance fees. And there are others which are privately owned. So you have to ask for permission to visit. The package tour (PHP1000) is inclusive of hotel pick-up, pump boat to the different islands, entrance fees and donations, and lunch. Our first stop was Pandan Island. Hopping on the Apple Bandwagon to $200
As the minutes counted down to the iPhone release, all that could be heard was the yelling and utter excitement of plopping down $600 plus monthly service fees for a phone on steroids. The cult has no concern for overbought conditions (for better and for worse). Message boards and rumor sites alike, battle back and forth over the stock price and latest announcements. Both sides, shorts and longs, both accusing each other of being pumpers and dumpers and paid pushers. All this over a company that barely survived the tech boom. Apple (AAPL) was reinvented by the invention of the iPod and there is no consumer, company, or investor that can disagree with that. Hundreds of millions of iPods have been sold, not to mention some one million iPhones have been sold in under two weeks. As the days roll by, and the Apple investor crowd slowly transitions from iPhone rumors and thoughts to what catalysts are left for Apple, many investors may be in for an interesting surprise. Border Hopping - Etal, Ford and Coldstream
As I live a few miles from the Anglo/Scottish border, it’s very easy to do cross border trips. This morning we started with a walk along the River Till in Etal in North Northumberland.  This is a lovely walk along a fairly level, pretty solid path.   The photos shows a small stream which runs into the River Till. Etal Castle dominates the small village of Etal. The castle was a important defence against cross border raids by the Scots using the ford to cross the River Till. The village of Ford is a couple of miles from Etal.  I thought it was a very picturesque village with a large green.  The building on the left in the photo is Lady Waterford Hall which has life size paintings by the Marchioness of Waterford  adorning its walls.  You can read about the area at the website www.ford-and-etal.co.uk. Our next stop was Coldstream in the Scottish Borders. It was so warm and sunny that we decided to buy some food to have a picnic in Henderson Park with the fantastic view ov

The first two marching lines, were from our shower faucets, up to the ceilings, around the corner over the sink then across the ceilings to our light in there. The third swarm was just all along one wall and around the light again. This is a major job that'll essentially give me a new boat without having to spring for a whole new boat. We'll be removing the old engine, exhaust, outdrive and the engine box, removing all the wiring, ripping up the deck and replacing it then rebuilding the cockpit/deck area and adding bench seats, all new wiring, building the hull extension/swimstep/outboard engine mounts to the existing transom and putting on a couple of reasonable sized 4 stroke outboards. Since then I have been keeping the page up to date and have just added a co.uk version, so it seems like a good time to review the past year for Simply Google. One Read/Write Web (where I’ve learned about Simply Google) reader, it’s ugly but damn useful. So give it a try. And if you agree with the useful part, yeah, don’t forget to bookmark it.

Blog Hopping Your Way To A Higher PR!
This idea comes from my friend Sire in Australia and I think it a great idea, The way it works is you have one post where you post the links of other interesting blogs. They will reciprocate using the exact method on their blog. Every time you need to add a new link you just edit the original post. This will get picked up by Google and Technorati resulting in higher ranking blogs.Sire recommend that we do not include more than 10 links per post. Once you have reached 10 links just start a new post.so to start us offBlogSire blogging the money wayThe BenSpark - Everyday Photos... Every... Day...Now all we need do is add links with a brief description so it all fits neatly on one line. Leave a comment if you’re interested.

The So-Called Perils of Job-Hopping - Part II
Most of our employers have given us hire letters that state that we have “employment-at-will.” This means our employers can terminate us at any time without stating a reason. They can chuck us out into the streets, without thought of where we’ll go from there, how soon we’ll be able to find another job, how we’ll be able to maintain our home and feed our families, etc. So, let’s take a reality check. Here are a few reasons why many people leave their jobs:· They found a better job;· They want better pay or health insurance;· They are relocating to another city or state;· They want to change their career path or profession;· They are returning to school;· They had a child and have decided to become a stay-at-home mom or to stop working for a couple of years to be home with their child;· They’re trying to escape a hostile and offensive work environment; or· Death Regardless of the reason why a person leaves em

THE SO-CALLED PERILS OF JOB HOPPING!
Once you decide it's time to find a new job, you start to think about companies you want to work for (in your field, in a new field/industry, etc.) and you visit numerous companies to discuss potential employment. As you’re getting a feel for the companies (e.g., comparing benefits, etc.), you start to develop a hierarchy of which jobs you’d like to take. However, your main priority is still to find work. There's always a job you really hope you get. And, there's always a job that you're not crazy about, but it's work! Ultimately, a job just has to be a job sometimes--for many of us.Depending on how quickly you need to find a job, you may accept a job offer from the first company to offer you employment. Let's face it...most people simply don’t have the luxury to wait to hear back from everyone they’ve interviewed with. And, that's how the confusion often gets started. You accept a job offer from the first company to make an offer, you're working for a few months, and th

      hopping down the bunny trail
{summary}I’m up with the early birds and worms today.  Last night I got a mini-migraine around seven o’clock.  One advil and half a beer later, I waved “night-night” to the baby, disappeared into the bowels of the house, and put my head under a pillow.  I was terrified that I’d wake up and realize I had a stroke (long story short, my mom had a stroke last month and thought it was a sinus headache), but I was too tired to give a shit about myself at that point. I didn’t hear any panicky, shrieking screams so I guess the baby was too tired to give Scott too much resistance. Lots of stuff to do today.  I finally redeemed some cooking class gift certificates Scott gave me for Christmas 2005, so a friend is driving up and we’re going to go do a wine tasting and nosh on miniature food items (I think the course description actually said “small plates of food” so we’ll probably be hitting a McDonalds on the way

      Blog Hopping
This post will be something very special. It will be my blog hopping post. Blog hopping is an idea I've heard about from a guy who calls himself Blog Sire. The idea is to have one single blogpost that lines up all your favourite links or at least links to blogs you like. These blogs should then do the same so everybody get's a link to each other and increases the rankings at Technorati. The post will be edited again and again every time you ad a new link. But this should keep the links fresh (technorati has a 180 days limit on links - links from before that time is not counted).Anyway, my first link will be to BlogSire - a blog where you can find all kinds of interesting stuff on how to make some money on blogging. Of course you can also go there to get on his blog hopping list.To get on this list just leave a comment.

Red blogule to 45 mn of war-hole fame - hopping without hope
If you want a good thrill you can either pay Richard Branson about $200,000 for a 5 mn wild ride in space or have the US Government pay you a $???M 45 mn trip to Iraq.So Condolezza Rice enjoyed her 45 minutes of war-hole fame. The time to kiss Dr. Zalmay Khalilzad on a deserted Baghdad airport, expose a cute armored plate not much bigger than a Madeleine K. Albright pin, and be shot a couple of times. By embedded photographers and cameramen. All smiles.Like Kim Jong-il waving at an absent audience in a prefab North Korean program.

      Hopping around Paris
Paris, the capital city is located in the northern region of France. The population of this city is about 10 million, 20% of the population of France. There are dozens of ways to get to and from Paris airport, from shuttle trains to mixture of boring public buses, taxis and private shuttles. Even you can have a bus that runs solely between the two airports of Paris. The transport system of Paris is world class. The most delightful public transport system of Paris is the underground metropolitain with its huge network. Where ever you go, you will find a metro station within a few blocks. Likewise, the public bus system covers everywhere, but its takes hours to reach small distance. And don't think of hopping abroad in weekends by bus.
