First (hopefully last) images: Cosworth/Kahn Range Rover Sport
Here’s the four wheeled bearded lady of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, courtesy of Kahn Design and (God help us) Cosworth. To us, spending tens of thousands of dollars on a vehicle, then affixing a bodykit to it that would make an ‘88 Grand Am sneer seems a bit nonsensical. Then again, being of means doesn’t [...]

      Hopefully it won't happen again
I remember my mother was not well that time. Whatever she took, it would only take her a few minutes to have the uncontrollable urge to rush to the toilet. Unfortunately, for most of the time, it was too late. It happened a few times in the span of half an hour. If only, I had ready incontinence supplies that time. I had to rush her to the hospital for emergency when the situation worsened. T

Posada Will (Hopefully) Catch Next Week
Pete Kerzel / Special to MLB.com:While Jorge Posada wasn't in the Yankees' lineup at his customary position behind the plate on Sunday, manager Joe Girardi said he expects Posada to resume catching at some point this week, perhaps as early as the club's three-game series that begins at U.S. Cellular Park in Chicago on Tuesday night. "I'd be surprised if he doesn't catch next week," Girardi said of Posada, who has been hampered by a right shoulder strain that inhibits his ability to throw. Posada has spent time in the past week building up his arm strength by long-tossing, but he only lobbed on Friday and didn't throw on Saturday, playing first base instead. With pregame work at Camden Yards on Sunday limited by rain, Girardi said that Posada would test his arm next on Tuesday. "He won't

This person feels awful. I have spent three hours trying to figure out something else to say other than "this person feels awful", but that's it. I worked on variations that went like "this person feels really awful" and "this person feels awfully terrible". I even attempted replacing "this person" with "I" to personalize it, but I was not up to the task. Then, my mind wandered, and I remembered that time when I was home sick with the flu and had mounted a little video camera on my bed's headboard. The previous sentence does not lead anywhere dirty, unless cat butts get you worked up.I had the video camera on my headboard trained on the cats while they were licking their butts, and I was broadcasting it on some video broadcasting thingy on the internet, and the people who ran the video br

Well, the Rutgers women's basketball team lost to UConn in the NCAA Women's Tournament last night, 66-56. I can't say I am not pleased with this outcome, especially since I am hardly a fan of C. Vivian Stringer, the coach of Rutgers. Mike Huckabee Is Imploding. . . . Hopefully
The National Review has a damning indictment of Huckabee's supposed foreign policy positions: Huckabee did give a long speech on foreign policy at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in September. 10 Classes To (Hopefully) Fix My Life
I got tagged by Kyle, my meme loving buddy, over at Rather Be Shopping with a new meme.  The revenge tag is the best kind of tag, I’m told.  :-) Anyways, I’m glad he tagged me because I like this meme.  I think there is enough in my life that needs fixing to warrant a challenging courseload.  Devise a list of 5-10 courses you would take to fix your life. It’s more fun to be in classes with friends, so include one class from the person who tagged you that you’d also like to take. Tag five. I was often an over-achiever in school so I’ll go for the gusto and choose 10 classes that I’d like to take to fix my life: 1. Winning Contests 101 - This is the class I’d take with Kyle.  I, too, would love to learn how to win these contests.  I never seem to have luck on my side in contests, yet others win multiple prizes or even lotteries.  Crazy.  2. Advanced Photoshop (for dummies) - This would be a great class for me. I have a ton of good photos

USB 3.0 hopefully showing up next year
Intel and others plan to release a new version of the ubiquitous Universal Serial Bus technology in the first half of 2008, a revamp the chipmaker said will make data transfer rates more than 10 times as fast by adding fiber-optic links alongside the traditional copper wires.Intel is working fellow USB 3.0 Promoters Group members Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, Texas Instruments, NEC and NXP Semiconductors to release the USB 3.0 specification in the first half of 2008, said Pat Gelsinger, general manager of Intel’s Digital Enterprise Group, in a speech here at the Intel Developer Forum. In an interview after the speech, Gelsinger said there’s typically a one- to two-year lag between the release of the specification and the availability of the technology, so USB 3.0 products should likely arrive in 2009 or 2010. A prototype shown at the speech is working now, and USB 3.0 will have optical and copper connections “from day one,” he added. The current USB 2.0 version h

The open source community is just that in many respects, a community.  There are many people interacting on a regular basis swapping work and ideas for a common purpose.  To resemble a true community however they need to borrow from the real world, there is a need for an open source Job Agency. Job advertising is a major online business, millions of people change their professions and seek out new horizons all with the help of recruiters.  These recruiters are increasing their online presence, enabling people in Brisbane Australia to browse jobs in New York and vice versa, they also give quick responses for immediate needs and to give an easy environment for those keen for new work to find something that is uniquely suited for them.  This flexibility seems to help matching the right individual to the right employer.  Matching skills with opportunity is very important when there is real money involved in transactions, as the wrong mistake can prove to be very co

The future of US Soccer is here (hopefully)
The U-20 Soccer World Cup is taking place as we speak in Canada. The US team has looked very impressive thus far, and after a Round 16 win today over Uruguay, they now advance to the quarterfinals vs. Austria on July 14. After winning their group with wins over Poland and top dog Brazil, and a saddening tie vs. Poland, the US team is making a serious World Cup title run. I wouldn't consider myself a huge soccer fan, but when it comes to USA Soccer and World Cups, I love watching soccer. After the big time national team won the Gold Cup and the U-20 team looking pretty impressive at the U-20 World Cup, I am very excited about the future of US Soccer. With young stars in Freddy Adu, Josmer Altidore, and Michael Bradley, US Soccer has a bright future. Anyway, unlike the previous guy who juts fiddled with something out on the street and made it work temporarily, today’s technician went a lot further. Hopefully We Will Get Some Honest Meaningful Statements From Arsenal Next Week
Thankfully the all the various websites have finally finished with the Henry transfer saga and are now turning to more meaningful comments about our club! Henry is now a Barcelona player and the only current connection he has with Arsenal is the box that he has retained at the Emirates stadium. There were so many comments about Barcelona transfers last week on the Arsenal Newsnow site - as if we could care a less about that bloody awful club - no disrespect to Henry but I hope they win nothing again next season! Wenger apparently is due to return from holiday (did he not have another holiday before the Henry saga news broke?) next week - so I hope we get some encouraging statements on the official web site from him and the board about what is happening at the club! I think not somehow! I know a club cannot always tell its fans about everything that is going on behind the scenes particularly with transfer negotiations otherwi

      Hopefully non-lethal prison pen.
Prisoners, at least in the US, seems to have a tendency of killing each other off for different reasons. The power of imagination when it comes to designing improvised weapons seems to have no limits, which has led prison authorities and designers to try to create everyday objects and tools that can not be transformed into weapons. One example is the no-shank toothbrush we have mentioned earlier, and here is another; the bending pen. The pen is supposed to be impossible to make into a weapon, and it is USD 10:- on the Spycatcher webshop.

Davies Hopefully Lights A Rocket Under The Player’s Arsenals
Kevin Davies has been speaking before Saturday’s clash at The Emirates, a must-not-lose match for Arsenal and must-win match for the visitors. Quoted in the ever-so-reliable Sun, the Bolton striker’s words are the for all to see under the headline, They’re there to be had. Leaving aside the journalistic inability to pull together a grammatically correct byeline, Davies said, I think they are troubled, especially after losing at home to West Ham…That was a brilliant result for us. We felt they would have lost at Newcastle, too, so that was probably a good point for them Well, it was a good point in that it stopped the rot, for one game at least. More importantly though is the change in perception that has occurred since earlier in the season and more recently the FA Cup tie at The Emirates. No longer are teams happy to come down and sit back, ready to take a point if they can. Now Bolton believe they can win it. Since Arsenal lost their ‘bottle’ at T

Prodi hopefully won't last in office much longer
It looks like my discovery that Romano Prodi's time as Italy's prime minister was done was a little premature. He's managed to win a confidence vote for now, but with the way he lucked out recently, chances are that he still may not be able to survive much longer.Former prime minister Silvio Berlusconi, the media tycoon who narrowly lost last year's election, has forecast Prodi will not last long in power. A poll this week showed 40 per cent of Italians agreed, predicting his government would last just a few more months.I think that's right, and there'll be quite a few issues that his coalition won't agree with him upon. So, it's possible that pretty soon, he'll be out of office altogether.
