After numerous recent rumors, the Tag Heuer luxurious mobile phone is finally officially announced. The oddly named Tag Heuer Meridiist is a high-roller fashionable handset and a perfect match of the Swiss-made Tag Heuer timepieces. We must admit that its name sounds noble, but it's awfully hard to spell (maybe we should type it wrong intentionally just for the sake of scoring high on the inevitably numerous wrong Google searches, hehe). But we digress. The Tag Heuer Meridiist mobile phone is made from watch-making stainless steel and has two unscratchable 60.5 carat sapphire crystal displays. Famous Swedish Watch company Tag Heuer has published on its Web site the first photos and characteristics of the forthcoming production of a mobile phone Tag Heuer Meridiist. Developed in partnership with Modelabs, the phone will be collected manually from 430 components, and users will surprise its original design. Following the likes of Dolce and Gabbana, Prada, Ferrari, Georgio Armani and Porsche is swiss watch maker Tag Heuer. Italian magazine Cellulare is reporting that Tag Heuer will launching a niche mobile phone in the coming weeks. We are not sure if it will be the watch phone we reported earlier. To be made in partnership with Modelabs the phone will be made from stainless steel and have many similarities to Tag Heuer watches. This is not a fake and not even a rumor, Tag Heuer’s cellphone is real. We knew the Tag Heuer was making a phone, as we were announced earlier this week, but we had no idea that it would be a watch phone. The phone will be designed by Paris based ModeLabs and it’s expected to be available withing the next few months. Tag’s phone will be a lot more different than D&G’s which was a standard Motorola V3 resprayed gold and featuring a stuck-on D&G logo.
The watch phone is expected to be made of stainless steel and to sport many similarities to Tag Heuer watches (see the pics below). We will keep in touch with updates regarding this phone.
