Guinea's new military rulers were endorsed by the deposed prime minister on Thursday, but condemned by the United States which demanded an immediate return to civilian rule. Former Prime Minister Ahmed Tidiane Souare said he and other members of the government overthrown after the death of President Lansana Conte earlier this week were ready to work with the coup leaders in the West African

1991 was a good year, namely because of this track. FSOL, currently working under the name Amorphous Androygnous (amongst others), released Papua New Guinea as their debut single and it later appeared on the album Accelerator. It could quite probably hold the record for the most re-releases of any single track, and has featured on numerous dance compilations in one form or another.

Vitamin C is not naturally produced in guinea pigs, thus they should to be given it day after day to guarantee first-class health. The lack of vitamin C causes scurvy. Currently, a BK (below knee) amputee's normal method of wearing a prosthetic leg involves donning (putting on) a liner of some type and then their socket which has a foot at the end of it. This means it takes a little while each morning before getting out of bed or doing anything, unless you hop around on your good leg (which is bad for your sound leg). There have been advancements in the dental world that has pioneered the implantation of 'studs' into the boney parts of the jaw for attaching dentures for extended wearing. This technology has progressed to where some orthopedic surgeons believe it is possible to do the same thing with lower limb prosthetics.A team in Europe has experimented with attaching a prosthesis directly into the femur (thigh) bone, which allows the skin to 'grow ar

I just finished building a cage for my 7 year old daughter who is getting a new Guinea Pig as a pet. I have never seen the type of cage that was necessary so I had to go by a drawing that my daughter did for me. I couldn't find much information on the web for a DIY cage, but there is plenty on cages that you can buy. A cage like this being built with a timber frame, plywood walls and galvanised mesh ends up being quite heavy, so I incorporated 2 wheels (old training wheels from an old bike) on one end and a handle on the other so it will be easy to move around the yard as necessary. It still needs a coat of paint to protect it against the effects of the rain and sun, but the kids can do that bit. My daughter isn't home from school, so I don't know the verdict yet, but here are some pictures

Before you buy a guinea pig, there is a lot to know to be sure you will keep it happy.
First, it might be good to keep some important information about your pet. Good things to write down would be the guinea pig's: name, birthday, weight, favorite food, BF (best friend), vet, and the vet's phone number. These are important things to remember or some random things to know.

By Julien PretotIvory Coast's crushing victory over Guinea was a clear warning to rivals that they intend to make up for their African Nations Cup final defeat in 2006.The Elephants, who lost to Egypt in the final after a penalty shootout two years ago, have won their four matches in the tournament, scoring 13 goals and conceding only one.Sunday's 5-0 quarter-final demolition of Guinea served further notice that Ivory Coast have evolved into a team capable of claiming the trophy."We do not doubt. We have the team to go all the way," coach Gerard Gili told reporters."To win the Cup, you need a 23-man squad, not just only 11 players and everybody needs to be at his best."And we have an homogenous squad, with a very competitive bench," the Frenchman added. "The players starting on the bench h

It happened innocently enough I suppose. My wife and three year old daughter were stopping by Pet Smart to pick up some dog food. It turns out they were having a sale on Guinea Pigs, and as luck would have it my daughter just loooves guinea pigs. She took this opportunity to hold them and pet them and become hopelessly attached to them. My wife managed to leave the store without a terribly upset kid by saying those special words, “maybe Santa will bring you one.”
From the day they left the pet store to today each time the girl has been asked what she wants for Christmas the answer is a guinea pig. It was very clear that I was in real trouble and needed some way out of this without being the bad guy. You see, I have no desire whatsoever to have a guinea pig in the house. They are a rodent like any other as far as I’m concerned.
The days went by and I don’t think one passed without someone mentioning that Santa may bring the guinea pig on Christmas to this devili

Guinea pig's also known as Cavies are one of the gentlest, loving, clean and adorable pets you can care for. These timid creatures have grown in popularity over the last few years but not as much is known about pet guinea pig care as cats or dogs or fish which are more prominent. Luckily guinea pigs are not too difficult to look after, they are clean, do not smell like mice and do not bite like ferrets. Here are a few simple tips to care for your guinea pig! Housing It is best to keep your guinea pig in a decent size cage, four to six square feet of floor space for each guinea pig is good but slightly smaller will suffice. Make sure the floor is solid not wire cage like the walls however as this can hurt their feet, also guinea pigs cannot jump or climb very well also so you do not need a roof to their enclosure as long as it is about 18 inches high. Make sure your enclosure also has a place for your pet to hide in if it wants; in the wild it was defenseless against predators so when

I just watched the video of our online session with Elisabeth Hendrickson. Though we had at the begin technical problems, this did not stop us: it was fun, we laughed a lot (to answer the question above). We were 6 persons and I guess this is what made the online virtual training experiment so cosy.
The session was presented with an exercise, which certainly everybody knows and which transmits the message of the training easy. Curious ? Well more info here.

I got an excellent question about what are my "guinea pigs." My guinea pigs are students who take the Belly Dance Trainer certification material before it is released to the public. The point of this is to "test" the material. Is it clear? Is there enough explanation? Does the material cross cultural boundaries well? The guinea pigs also tell me if the assessment is fair. If none of the guinea pigs get a section of the material right, it's obviously not presented in such a way that is easily understood. If most of them are confused, I need to rethink what I am trying to say and how I am doing that. If most of them do get it, I can reasonably assume that others will also be able to get it.When I was in college, I had professors who didn't score questions if most of the class couldn't answer them correctly. It was assumed that the question was either flawed, or the teaching did not provide enough information to expect that the student would be able to correctly answer it. Using guinea

It can be an exploration of animosity, or a ride to the chapel on your wedding day.

Oh - and there’s also a lovely article from the jungles of Papau New Guinea, where American soldiers once battled malaria and the Japanese Imperial Army.

Time to provide some notes on taking care of guinea pigs. Here is a list of things on providing care such as questions on how to handle guinea pigs and asking yourself if you are the right person to own one. Guinea pigs are social animals and will need daily interaction. That I’m trying spend half an hour with Latte everyday.
If you have the space, let the cavy run around the house with some supervision. Electric cables and other things that can be nibbled upon must be kept away from the floors. You don’t want to harm them in any way.
Guinea pigs don’t smell (generally) unless you don’t clean the cage regularly. I’ve to clean the cage soon. I don’t want any smell other than the hay I’m giving daily. Here are the steps to clean the cage. The advantage of using grids and coroplasts is that it is easy to clean.

Peru has started an annual celebration of the guinea pig that offers contests for the best dressed, fattest and the best tasting guinea pig. This year is the second year Peru has celebrated the guinea pig, or cuy as they call it in the Andes, and featured bands in the streets all during the celebration.
Teresa Figeroa was selling plates of grilled, fried and baked guinea pigs for about $7, and she said they are “Zero cholesterol! Protein for anemia!” She said that visitors may not like seeing the guinea pigs served as lunch, but that people come from all across Peru to have a taste.
Though there were other contests going on during the festival, the food was by far the main event. Nicolas Campos Sanchez said that “This isn’t common,” and that “We’re very proud of it.”
An increasing number of people are unwillingly becoming medical test subjects. These new treatments may be jeopardizing a person’s safety in life or death situations. Federal guidelines now allow emergency workers to experiment on patients receiving emergency care who are unconscious or too injured to consent to these tests. Researchers at the University of Washington have been studying new treatments for patients in need of emergency care. They claim the experimental procedures are potentially safer than existing treatments and protocols. Researchers argue that this research is needed in order to improve medical care. Well. They probably do not. Unless, you agree yourself. At a point I worked in the pharmaceutical research. While studying medicine and doing medical research, I knew some rough ideas about the drug development process. I knew something about 3 phases of the trials and so on.However, I did not realize how complex the process actually is. There are actually 4 phases of just clinical trials, and several more before that. So if you are interested how they test drugs on you, let's in brief discuss the process.Trackback URL: http://rdoctor.com (http://rdoctor.com/)
