Summary for Omar Khadr.... he was born in Toronto & lived in Canada until he was ten. From ages 11-15 he was put in an Al-Qaida training camp in Afghanistan. In 2002, it is alleged that he threw a grenade at US troops, killing one and injuring 3 others when they invaded his home. Note that the child was shot in the back while on his knees. And that US troops used grenades themselves during the incident. From then until now he has been raised in Guantanamo Bay, not in the children's section, but held mostly in solitary confinement with the adults.
