Good Book : Investing for Dummies
This is a review of Investing for Dummies by Eric Tyson. I have the 2nd edition copy dated 1999. They are now on the 4th edition and a 5th edition is due out soon. When I reviewed Small Business for Dummies I commented that I like the Dummies series. Reading a Dummies book doesn't mean you're literally a dummy but its just a conscious admission that you have more to learn on a topic.Investing

Good Book : Small Business for Dummies
This is a review of the book "Small Business for Dummies" by Eric Tyson and Jim Schell. I have the 2nd edition from 2003.I personally like the "Dummies" series of books. They provide no nonsense guides for a variety of topics and put it into terms that everyone can understand. They generally provide good comprehensive overviews of topics. Some might be a little put off by the "Dummies" titl

Seesaw markets,my plans, a good book and market crisis
The month of jan was a complete rollcoaster. Initially the market shotup, then crashed and now seems to go one step forward and one step backward. One could have made a killing shorting the market or by buying puts. I however did none of that. I personally need to do more homework in that area to venture into it. However I do see puts as a decent option to hedge the portfolio. The part I still need to work out is this -Most options expire worthless. The reason is that the options market is fairly efficient, definitely more than straight equity. So is it possible to buy puts over the long term, make money a few times only and still have a decent return after all the costs ?Some of my own holdings, some of which I have discussed (and some not), have declined below 50% of intrinsic value. Your heart has no dream that a good book cannot fulfill
Who doesn't love romance?Young, old, man, woman, girl, boy, we all love that special feeling of loving and being loved, that special heart beat, that special smile, that special dream..But the best romance is not the one you live, because life always adds the unromantic side to every story. The best romance is the one that lives in your mind and in your heart. When romance meets reality it looses a part of its fascination. The best romance is the one you dream and live in your fantasies. And what is better than Romance Novelsto live a real, romantic, lasting forever and ever love story? One with a nice beginning, a troubled medium, and a very happy ending...One in which you can (in spite of your age) being the beautiful and charming girl you never were, living adventures, visiting places, meeting people, may be that special one that every girl would like to meet.A book is always the best friend when it comes to Romance. And when it comes to live the adventure, the intrigue, the spicy life

A good blog is a dialogue, while a good book is a monologue
To be a good blogger:1)You do not need to be a good writer. You shouldn't be one of those traditional good writer.2) A writer writes novels and books. A blogger writes a few lines3) A writer needs 300 words to say what a blogger should say in 30.4) The average audience of a blogger wants to be entertained and explained with as little words as possible.Otherwise he(she) would read books.5) A good blogger has in one day the number of readers a good writer has in one year.6) A good blogger likes to provocate, to discuss, to laugh, to joke, to shout, to please, to comment.7) A good blog is a dialogue, while a good book is a monologueThink and you'll have the problem of disposal of ideas... http://www.2rss.com/atom2rss.php?atom=http%3A//woip.blogspot.com/atom.xml

Good Book: “If God Is Love: Rediscovering Grace in an Ungracious World”
I just finished this book and thought it was superb. Very easy reading, short chapters, light and airy styling. Although written by two men, Philip Gulley and James Mulholland (both Quaker ministers), it was written in the first person singular. It is essentially a compendium of their experiences and thoughts of Jesus and his kingdom.    I was lead to this book by reading Gulley’s blurb on the jacket of a Brennan Manning book . Gulley has a series of books about hometown Indiana and has been compared to Garrison Keillor.  He also has (or had?) a program on public radio.  I am looking forward to checking him out more thoroughly.

      Good Book for job
This is really a good book and i would recommend it for all the candidates who is trying to seek a new job in java/j2ee field .covers almost everything that an interviewer can ask , and if any candidate goes through every line of the book , then i think its impossible for anyone to do an interview badly even if you have not worked in some frameworks as this book is decorated with extremely good examples for interview purpose and covers all the latest j2ee topics and framework .But this book is not dictionary for java learning though , there is 100% chance that a person can go through the interview well if the candidate as gone through everyword in this book .Explains all the core concept in a simple question and answer form and also underlines the important ones.I myself got a good job and not only did i do the inteview well , i was also confident that i would do a good interview that must have showed in my attitude aswell during the interview.

Training Children & A Good Book
If you have been reading this blog for any length of time, you may see a recurring theme. The theme is that of teaching to the heart of a matter. This as mentioned before is not something that we have always done. It is, however, something we strive to be consistent in and have been working on for a very long time. We have also seen the fruit of this type of parenting. Many of my posts, I hope, reflect that, whether we are teaching about music, modesty, hitting a sibling, or the terrible twos. This is also applicable to our position as parents. As parents, are we disciplining ourselves to be the example of godliness? Are we confessing and asking forgiveness when we fail, not only from the Lord but from our children as well?As I said, these are things we have incorporated into our parenting on a consistent basis over the years. I just recently read a book which reinforced many of these things and it pushed me to address many of the issues listed in this post and throughout the

Read A Good Book Lately? My Thoughts On Adobe's Classroom In A Book, for CS3
Confounded Computers ( Read: How Do I Get It To Do That Again!? )  As I have recently begun to make use of Adobe's Photoshop CS line of product again, in this case, Photoshop CS3 (extended), I found myself at a complete loss as to how to actually use the software. This is actually quite embarrassing, as I am normally able to just adapt to whatever the computer throws in my general direction. After about half an hour of playing with the software, watching my set of images not improving, I began to contemplate a few things: Perhaps I was too hard on those folks, back in the college days, when they seemed to not even be trying to learn the new software, when it was "obviously" so "easy" for "everyone" else. I couldn't find a single good free tutorial online for Photoshop CS3. A dying breed of knowledge, perhaps? CS3 was new enough, that the local library would not have a book on the subject yet. I would need to BUY a book on learning CS3. read mo

Settle Down with a Good Book....About Martian Horses!
Author of six other novels, Chuck Rosenthal, has recently released his latest literary work, "The Heart of Mars." The plot of this fantasy/sci-fi novel is pretty interesting. Global warming has caused the habitation of Mars in the year 2450 by a race known as the Nution. A freighter that is carrying a load from the farms of Europa is hijacked and is last seen heading toward Mars. Detective, Marl, who is both human and Nution, is sent to investigate this issue. He discovers the utopian dream of the Nution is not as it seems, and that the solar system is on the verge of revolution. This novel, part detective story, part action adventure, had me thinking and intrigued as I sat and read it through, cover to cover. I think that you'll enjoy it as well. It's a nice break from the tensions of reality and business. Grab a cup of tea, pick up the book, The Heart of Mars by Chuck Rosenthal, and enjoy. Here's to your relaxation!Tony

That Grrl: Escaping Into a Good Book
If I can't see myself do I really exist? I must be having a really self inflicted self absorbed day. I've taken even more personality quizes than those posted below. Just for fun. I always wonder what it is I am looking for when I take those. Confirmation that I'm really not crazy, that I'm "not so bad"? Whatever it is I never seem to find it. Though, it is a cheap way of getting compliments and you don't have to go out and meet for coffee first. I was thinking about book reading today. I don't have anything here that I am just itching to read. I began one mystery but it's very British, that dry kind of writing style you really have to put some brain power into. I just want something fun to read. I like a simple book, the kind you take to bed at night and curl up so the light is coming from over your shoulder and onto the pages. The kind of book you fall asleep reading (that not it's dull) and the kind that makes you have to stop reading so you can push yourself up on an elbo

      Read a Good Book
N doesn't read many books, but when he does a finish a book, it usually means it was a pretty good book. I put quite a lot of faith into books he recommends, which is why I picked up Q & A. It's about an uneducated waiter in India who wins a quiz show with a prize money of a billion rupees, similar to Who Wants to be a Millionaire. There's an investigation, because everyone assumes this poor 18 year old couldn't know all those answers but he is able to answer the questions because of the life that he is led: living in the slums of India, working for an aging Bollywood actress, the people he meets and loves. Each chapter jumps back and forth between different periods of childhood, and I found it all to be really gripping. I didn't fully grasp all the references to Bollywood actors and actresses and there is a lot of sad circumstances in the book, but the likeability of the main character and the different structure of the novel more than make up for it!

      Looking for a good book?
After school snack in the snow fortOy. I have so many picture's I want to inundate you with... I am using an incredible amount of self control right now.Oh yes I am. Don't ever say I don't do anything for you.So... a couple of things came up yesterday in the comments and in my e-mail box...Let's start with my sofa... Nope - it's not a slip cover, it's a denim like material that unzips off each cushion for easy washing.Laundry detergent... I'm trying Tide with the lavender fabric softener in it...mmmm! And for sheets and blankets I add the downy lavender/vanilla fabric softener... LOVE.Now the book... Like Dandelion Dust. A MUST read!! Not many books can bring me to tears... but this one did. It is about a couple who adopts a baby - the story takes place when their little boy is 4. The author really makes you think as a parent what you would do if your child was about to be taken away. I read the book thinking about my own four year old little boy, Malachi, and what I wo
