      Adderall--A Glimpse Into My Personality
Those who know me well know that I am quite disorganized, and that my short attention span impels me to relinquish incomplete projects I am embroiled in for new, fresh projects. When I was in college, while I did hold down a full time job, the expense of tuition forced me to search for money in odd places. So I surrendered my body to medical science, voluntarily allowing physicians to test new forms of medicine in my system. I got so lucky as to be chosen for a study of a new generic form of Adderall for side effects. Besides a little cotton mouth and an overall fuzzy euphoric sensation, I remember cruising through a nearly 500 page compilation of the works of the Apostolic Fathers (not an "easy" read) in about five hours, which led me to believe I may be slight ADD, and that Adderall is

Thin is in: LG shares a glimpse of its 5 megapixel hottie phone
Great news, Mr. and Mrs. Tighty Pants: carrying five megapixels in your pocket is about to become a little less obvious. The latest member of LG’s storied Black Label line — other alumni being the Chocolate and the Shine — is starting to break cover, and for what the slider might lack in sheer visual distinction, it makes up in technical prowess. The as-yet-unnamed slider promises to be the thinnest 5 megapixel cameraphone in the world when it launches, featuring a reinforced glass touchscreen up front (just a little Glimmer-esque, if you ask us) and a shell constructed from carbon fiber. Other than that, LG’s being a little stingy with details at this point, saying that it’ll unveil the handset’s name later this month — hopefully along with pricing and a full spec sheet. Th

Comic Con '08 brings first glimpse of Gears of War 2
Thanks to a nifty and well versed press release, today we learn that this year's Comic Con (which will go down April 18th through the 20th) will get an additional injection of video game content with Gears of War 2 taking center stage.Scheduled to take the floor at this month's New York Comic Con, Epic's Michael Capps and GoW2 script writer Joshua Ortega will talk about Gears' origin, its success and give attendees a "glimpse into this year's upcoming Gears of War 2". Whether or not that means actual in-game GoW2 footage or just talking bits, we aren't sure. But our fingers are crossed in hopes that we get a GoW2 video tease come April 18th. A glimpse of hope and unity
So after a rather horrendous day yesterday spent huddled over my toilet or sleeping 14 hours, I awoke today feeling much refreshed albeit achy from all the bed rest. Rushed to get cleaned up and out of the house by 8 so I could fight the traffic and disgusting brown mist that happens on not quite rainy days here in Dallas. Ever so glad I washed my car by hand two weeks ago, it looks quite lovely and dirty again now.My regular doctor seems to have made it a point to be booked up in either city council meetings or with other patients for the next few months, so I had my eyes checked by his new protege. I figured it would be safer to go with the person he approves of rather than picking someone out from the phone book, even if going to her means having to drive to Garland. When you have had t

A Glimpse on Future Interior Home Designing
Each year, people will have different ideas to provide the alternative ways of improving current home designs as shelled out from the various imaginations created by students and artists depending on their ideal home. Most of the advanced means of appraising home designs do not come from research but rather from how future architects and interior decorators view homes as years pass. True, these are the same people who bank on the latest trends and designs we see today. However, these are just foundations and some points for consideration. Improving on what they see is a never-ending process, providing enhancements as they want which in turn become the apple to the eye of many. Many people who have the luxury of putting up their own homes are after new ideas and home innovations. While they can rely on the web and magazines on the latest, don’t be surprised if they add something to the mix. That is just how home decorating and visualization is made today. A glimpse into my worklife
I left work kind of early -- for me at least -- today. Technically, our work day lasts from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. In all honesty, I can't remember when I've ever gotten in at 9:00 or left at 5:30 -- I'm more of a 9:30 to 6:30 kind of girl. But I've been staying a little later than that pretty much all month -- for example, last night, I left at around 8:10, since I got home at 8:30.Granted, some of it is that I've been really busy, but a large part of it is that, after my time at the anonymous law firm, I feel guilty leaving the office while it's still light outside. I know I shouldn't -- after all, I get more accomplished in a short day at my current job than I ever did in 8 billable hours. Today, though, was painful. It all started with an office meeting -- a very long meeting, that, while productive, presented the opportunity for the bosses to discuss their preferred procedures for getting work done, and for various co-workers to complain about the implementation of thos

At the same time, I do not dare to look at the pictures for too long. Probably I may not dare to look at my own post here. But it’s life, and when there’s life, there’s also death. A glimpse into the mind of a dieting woman
7am - Woman wakes to the sound of her child singing to herself. Can't quite make out the song because last night's sex dream is still fogging her mind. She fights to hold on to it because it was that good. Mmmm, Tyler Florence. Wait. Does the TV chef turn her on or is she excited by the thought of a man with access to that much food? Eh. Either way... 7:15 - Mmm... Tyler. That feels good

A lot of speculations around the first glimpse of final Potter
So, here it is, the first glimpse of final Potter. Harry Potter and the deathly hallows - the cover for this book was showed today and the Guardian tells us about it:The children's cover for Bloomsbury in Britain is by Jason Cockroft, who illustrated the previous two books, and features Harry, Ron and Hermione leaping out of a circle of gold, surrounded by treasure. Harry himself looks almost unrecognisably grown-up - although the trademark specs remain - and all the intrepid cloak-clad trio look shocked and have cuts and bruises on their arms. The inside front cover features a stag, while the inside back cover has an illustration of a snake inside a silver orb. The adult edition cover pictures a locket, believed to belong to Slytherin. And yes, the speculations are growing. What will happen? My oldest son has reserved one, so we will get it the very first day. But: how shall we do with that? Who will read it and who will keep the secret until everyone in the family has read it? A

Personalize Bloglines with Playlists and Glimpse
You use Bloglines because it helps you keep track of your favorite blogs and feeds. But what if you have certain feeds you view only in the morning? Certain feeds you look at to cheer you up, or when the boss isn't around? You don't want to re-arrange your whole "My Feeds" listing just for those occasional whims or times of day. That's why Bloglines introduces not one, but two new services to make things easier. Playlists lets you create short groupings of feeds to access from your main list. Create as many as you like, and use them to personalize your Bloglines experience that much more. Create them, change them, even delete them--all without changing your original "tree" of feeds. What song playlists are to your MP3 library, Bloglines Playlists are to your Bloglines blogs & feeds. Want a quick look of those Playlists you just created? That's what Glimpse is for. Click on one of your Playlists in your left nav and you'll see the first five posts for every feed in that Playli

      A glimpse of hope
Me on the tidal reaches of the Ribble, not the section in contention, but just a nice picture to illustrate the post.As I promised yesterday, here is the response we received from the Water Bailiff, who's son would have been in the Eskimo Topolino Duo with me, after we had to call the Ribble trip off. "... a small number of boats can move quickly through a swim without disturbing anyone. The people who get up my nose are the ones who intentionally try to queer your fishing (but I know some anglers who do just the same!) - but its best to say nothing and let them get on with it.I have an interesting story involving a couple of lads (with all the gear) in kayaks - I was fishing under the aqueduct below Edisford (just above the weir) when a couple of kayaks came through on a decent flow of water. The two lads tried to avoid me by passing under the far arch but the tail kayak missed and ended up wedged sideways on the concrete pillar. In struggling to free himself he turned
