Bob asks an interesting question about electromagnetic fields, ghosts, hallucinations, and base readings.  He writes: TAPS says that ghosts cause EMF fields and need energy to manifest.  Well, they also say that EMF fields cause hallucinations, so my question is what type of evidence is available to prove that a ghost causes or even raises an EMF field?  Are there base line readings done beforehand?  I have had many promising results with magnetic fields, but I am in need of some supporting evidence.  If you or any of your members know of any supporting facts, can you let me know? I've been fixated on ghosts for the past few days. There are a few shows on T.V. that I watch that make my skin crawl - Ghost Hunters and A Haunting. They are about people who have experienced paranormal activities and how they dealt with exposing the truth behind the mystery. A 2005 Gallup poll found that 32% of Americans think ghosts are real. This number seems really low to me, probably because I've never doubted their existence. Maybe people were just too embarrassed to admit their beliefs? I've received a lot of questions about how to photograph ghosts and several people have asked me for camera recommendations.  Ray writes, "What is the best camera to use to capture a ghost?" Waide has a similar question.  He asks, "What are the best types of cameras to catch good evidence and how are they used most effectively?" This Thursday, 29th November, is the night when Crewe's Christmas lights are, hopefully, flicked on without a hitch. Tonight saw the launch of Tim Prevett's ghostly tours around Crewe town centre. All 20 places for tonight's spooky walk were snapped up last week, and other slots are almost full. In fact, a second event has been created for Wednesday night - Halloween! It's a great idea, something that celebrates Crewe and its history. Local people will be fascinated, while outsiders with an interest in such ghostly goings on will be drawn to the town. That and the fact that Tim is really passionate about the subject can only be a boost for the borough as there is a chance that further tours will be arranged in surrounding towns.
