A fractal is a special image that is generated using a very simple mathematical formula. If you take a smaller portion of the image and then magnify it, you find a new image within, which is just as complicated. The image can be magnified millions of times, and in each case, a new image is revealed.BrainBashersGrab The Bookmarketer For Your Site
In the earlier post i has talked about Gnofract 4D and Benojt the opensource softwares for fractals, today I came back with another opensource fractals generator software called Fraqtive. It's another software with another special features for generating gorgeous abstract images from Mandelbrot family fractals. Fraqtive is a freeware, we can redistribute and modify this software under the terms
You probably have seen it before, but this vegetable never ceases to amaze me.This is "Chou Romanesco" cauliflower(more images and some great facts are here)."When you come across it in a grocery store... on first encounter it's hard to imagine you're looking at a garden vegetable rather than an alien artefact created with molecular nanotechnology."Read more about it here, and about a man-made "Brocciflower" herePhoto by Benjamin PenderMore cabbage weirdness:Photo by TuffenPhoto by Narcissa
Lettuce Leaf - God's Fractals in NatureYesterday I was out in the garden checking the lettuce plants we have growing, and I happened to look down from directly above a plant to see this pattern. The lettuce leaves formed a complicated pattern resembling the precise mathematical form of a fractal. The very fine edges of each leaf are curled in a delicate pattern which imitates the fractal's recursive spirals. This is an example of how creation is so complete - the forms which our best mathematicians struggle with are reproduced in nature without any human intervention! This photo taken with the Fujifilm S9600 digital camera.Shutter speed: 1/28, F3.9, ISO 100Other blogs:

A fractal is a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be subdivided in parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole". The term was coined by Benoît Mandelbrot in 1975 and was derived from the Latin fractus meaning "broken" or "fractured". A fractal as a geometric object generally has the following features-It has a fine structure at arbitrarily small scales. It is too irregular to be easily described in traditional Euclidean geometric language. It is self-similar (at least approximately or stochastically). It has a Hausdorff dimension which is greater than its topological dimension (although this requirement is not met by space-filling curves such as the Hilbert curve). It has a simple and recursive definition.During my graduation years we used to program in Turbo C, though there were limitations with the colors but fractal generations always attracted the best of comments. Recently I was searching for a good Fractal Generator for Windows (there
the house phone rang at 1250pm. i was in the bedroom, reading."are we home?" Chris asked.i mumbled something that resembled "telemarketer", as nobody really calls the house. but a message was left and i shambled over to the machine and hit "mailbox one"."hi, this is Trusted Ally calling for Barbara. if you could give me a call..."my stomach sank. it wasn't a social call, not during business hours. not on the the house phone. i struggled to remember the office number and dialed. i was connected immediately with Trusted Ally. we exchanged "hey how's it goings", and then i waited."we received a package from H for the Kiddo," she informed me."oh really?" i don't know how often H corresponds with Betty & Barney, and at this point, could care less. he's on the other side of the country, and that's enough."well, he's had a child. with his 'life partner' ""what??!? when?" i had already felt my face flush and my eyes twitch in preparation for tears."um, last summer. i'm sorry to be
