The electric car charges in 8 hours, and according to Smart engineers it consumes less than $3 worth of electricity. At this year's Frankfurt International Autoshow this September, Toyota will unveil a new minicar, sized similarly to the minicar icon Smart Fortwo, which is aimed at European markets. Automotive News Europe reports that the car should go on sale in Europe by the middle of 2008.Toyota showcased many minicars in Europe, such as the Aygo subcompact and the Yaris. Both of them proved successful by the numbers.
