It was a bright, sunny day and I needed to go to the local mall to do a little shopping. At the time I drove a little black Ford Escort. Oh yeah, I was big time.I arrive, park the car and proceed into the mall. About 2 ½ hours later I emerge with a pep in my step and bags in hand. I retrieve my keys from my purse and insert it into the lock and open my car door. I slide into the drivers seat and shut the door and as soon as the door shut it happened.A strange uneasiness came over me suddenly. I began to look around the car to try and figure out what was wrong. I didn’t remember my car being this clean. Damn I’m good! I look on the passenger side seat and there it was. A white bowl shaped glass ceiling light bulb cover. Oh oh! This did not go on any of my lights on any of my ceilings.

A Quiz? You Could Have Fooled Me
I had to teach math at one of the local junior highs today. I met the instructor before the day started, which was sort of strange but nice event. The teacher had me give the students a quiz but most of the time, it was a struggle to keep them on task. Two classes had another teacher help out at the beginning of class but she left about one-fourth the way through each class. She meant business and the students knew it. So those classes were much better behaved because they knew that there would be consequences for their bad behavior. So today was definitely one of those days in the trenches. At least I got to leave early because the only student in the last period did not show up. I also got to help out a couple of students.

Luckily, (or unluckily, cause my Dad advised me to just walk away beforehand, which got me suspicious, or not suspicious enough, obviously) it was only RM50 that I deposited. I'm too furious with myself to get into details. It was only this morning that I went online, did Google-ed certain things, and confirmed that the whole thing's a scam, just as my Dad said.Read another person's story here. And the following update regarding the previous post. What happened to me is just about the same. Only, I "won" an iron chef stove, something similar to Sauna Solution, and a RM150 voucher. But I can only get those if I spend the RM150 voucher on another product... And all the choices given cost around RM2000++!Anyway, the name of the company is Exwell Electrical. So my advice would be, the next time you see someone bearing down on you with a coupon, run away. Apparently, Exwell is not the only company who has joined the con wagon. Don't Be Fooled By Wall Streets Temporary Insanity
A sign of bad things to comeNY Property Grunt - 9/19/07 Full Article:As everyone knows, newspaper advertising has taken a big hit in the last couple of years. However one thing that newspapers have always counted on is real estate advertising. And now it appears that has taken a dive in the New York City area. According to some intelligence from a source in ad sales, real estate ad sales have taken a significant drop. It was August when I first heard from this source and figured that there would be bit of a downturn since the real estate season doesn't start until after Labor Day so brokers aren't rushing out to buy ads. But when I checked in with my source this month, it was pretty much more of the same. The irony though is that it appears that ads for foreclosures have gone up. So in the end it evens out. So if you got to sell, sell. Unload your s**t now while people are fooled by the euphoria of the market because of a rate cut.Even in New York, Affordable Apartmentsby NYT - 9/28/

I was talking to a house inspector and he was telling me something that I wanted to share.  Not that you don't already know it but it is worth reminding agents.Be careful of inspection report and know what they mean. Don't just take the word and not review and research before you let your seller get cheaped.  Get a second opinion as often as you can. If not in person, do some calling around and take notes.  Once you've lived through a bad experience, I think you become smarter to the tricks of the trade.  Just like any other trade, there are tricks.Increase your base knowledge to make yourself more valuable to your client.Remember buyers are looking for a deal -- but even more in this market and time.  They want the lowest price, but on top of that.. they want the highest credit back for closing costs and repairs. Even and especially in this "short sale era".  They tend to overlook the disclosure that the property

Do Not Be Fooled By Incorporation Fees
If you are planning to form a corporation, you have many options as to where to form. You may know that Delaware is a popular state in which to incorporate. Put basically, Delaware laws are very corporate friendly. I will get into the specifics in another post. Back to the point, many states advertise that you should incorporate in their state because the fees are less than other states.Although this may be true, you have to consider where you are going to be doing most of your business. For example, Nevada demands a relatively inexpensive fee to incorporate. However, if you are doing all of your business in California, and merely incorporated in Nevada to save on the incorporation fees, consider this; in order to do business in a state other than the state in which you incorporated, you have to file for a foreign corporation certificate. This basically means that you incorporated in another state and want to do business in the present state. What is the big deal with filing for

High blood pressure? Don't be fooled by the new "guidelines”
You have probably seen in the news the new "guidelines” for determining a healthy level of blood pressure. It used to be that 120/80 was considered optimal, 120 - 129/80-84 was normal and 130 - 139/85-89 was high normal. If your readings were over 140/90 you were considered to be at Stage 1 which was referred to as mild hypertension. Stages 2, 3 and 4 went up in various increments and they reflected increasing degrees of severity of hypertension. But, this is no longer the case! Based on new USA guidelines if your blood pressure is in the "normal” range with a systolic pressure anything above 120 you are now considered to be prehypertensive and should according to the new guidelines be taking "two or more hypertensive medications to achieve goal pressure". So if you were previously healthy before this recent announcement with a systolic blood pressure between 120 and 140 I am sorry to say that you along with 45 million other Americans are no longer considered to be healthy!
