"Cubist Flute"Completed: 2004oil on canvas Looking back on this one, this definitely does not look like a cubist painting, haha. We had to do a series of the same subject matter in different kinds of styles during my one of my painting classes in college. My prof assigned each of us an artist's style to imitate, and I had Pablo Picasso. Now, I really had no idea where to go with this, because my prof said that he assigned the artists based on his impression of our previous art. (I have no idea where he got the impression my art resembled Picasso...I must be missing something!) Anyway, so when I started this painting, I did follow the sharp angles and edges resembling the cubist period. However, I did not portray the many different angles of the object, as Picasso did. So, I still do call it a cubist flute, because that is what it was supposed to be, but now I kind of just look at as a "funky" flute, as my mom would put it. :) Shannon

This guy is excellent, not only at playing the flute but also at beatboxing. And just to make it all much better, the proverbial cherry on the pudding, he’s displaying both skills at the same time and playing the Inspector Gadget theme tune! Marvellous stuff, very impressive.
And I couldn’t resist sticking in the original for anyone who has never heard of it or like me, wants to recollect the memories of watching this show. Brain the dog was by far the best character on the show, and the brains of the operation against Doctor Claw too.
