Citing the recent death of 10-month-old puppy at the Carson animal shelter, the national No Kill Advocacy Center has sued Los Angeles County, alleging unlawful and abusive treatment of thousands of dogs and cats at its six shelters, officials said Friday.The lawsuit alleges that the county Department of Animal Care and Control kills thousands of healthy and treatable animals before their state-mandated holding period expires, misclassifies animals as “ill” or “injured” in order to kill them before the holding period ends, and kills lost animals without making reasonable attempts to find the animals’ owners.
It also alleges that the county fails to provide adequate veterinary care, nutrition, water, shelter and exercise to animals and refuses to release animals to rescue groups.

CUMBERLAND — Two misdemeanor counts of disrupting a school operation have been filed against a Frostburg State University student who allegedly made an Internet threat of "shooting up the school,†according to district court documents.
The charges were filed in a criminal summons issued by a district court commissioner following consultation between the C3I Unit and Allegany County State's Attorney Michael Twigg.
Although the charges against 19-year-old Allieu Shaw of Gaithersburg are on file, there was no record this morning that Shaw had been served the summons. A trial date is set after the defendant is served a summons.
Shaw faces a maximum penalty of one year jail time and/or a fine of up to $5,000.

Go to the court and get the form called “Request to Pay Judgment to Court.”
Fill the form and include any interest you owe. See for the collection costs and interests added on your judgment.
File the form with the court clerk at the courthouse where the case was heard.
Pay the filing fee and the full amount of the judgment to the court.
After you have paid off the judgment, the county clerk will enter a Satisfaction of Judgment in the court record. It will be a proof of the judgment being paid off. He will also contact your judgment creditor and update him with the payments made to the court. Always check your credit report and see if its timely update

Six unique residents of Tarrant County today filed a request with District Attorney Tim Curry seeking a criminal investigation of the early-morning robo-calling that may have impacted the outcome of the special election for House District 97.
Signators included two former Reps,. Anna Mowery and Bob Leonard along with current Rep. Charlie Geren. Two former Tarrant County Republican Party Chairmen, Stephen W. Hollern, Sr and Warren C. Russell also joined in the complaint. Finally, Benbrook city councilman and HD97 special election candidate John Schull signed.
