I am still of the opinion that Coulters use of that "joke" was not a spur of the moment throwaway line but was very much planned ahead of time to achieve the exact effect that it did. I still think she had the right to say it but she also has to deal with the consequences of what she said the same as Amanda Marcotte or Melissa McEwan did for what they said. Last year, Ann Coulter went with a racial slur at the Conservative Political Action Conference. This year, she called former Senator John Edwards (D-North Carolina) a “faggot.”
Coulter has publicly endorsed former Governor Mitt Romney (R-Massachusetts). DNC Chairman Howard Dean issued a brief statement demanding the GOP candidates denounce the slur.
