Fudzilla - Larrabee to emerge in late 2009: "Sources within the graphics industry expect to see Larrabee retail products in late 2009 and currently neither Nvidia nor ATI sees it as a threat, at least not in a short term.Intel promised to show Larrabee in late 2008, but everyone who has been in this industry a few years knows that Intel has to go through painful driver development and polishing cycles. It took ATI years to catch up to Nvidia on the game support and drivers and Intel's IGP driver is simply a laughable application that shows a 2D picture and plays some video.Until the later part of 2009, Nvidia and ATI will be the only two GPU manufactures to consider and even when Larrabee launches you shouldn’t expect a miracle, at least not from the first batch."

FHA stands for Federal Housing Administration, a by-product of the National Housing Act of 1934 and now a sub-group within the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The FHA is not a lender nor does it build homes.
The FHA exists to insure lenders against loss in the event that a homeowner defaults on a mortgage.
Mortgages backed by FHA are often called "FHA loans" even though it's somewhat of a misnomer. A more appropriate name would be "FHA-insured" loans because that better describes the FHA's function.
With the FHA's guarantee, mortgage lenders are enticed to make loans on which they would otherwise pass and the explicit backing from the government holds mortgage rates low for borrowers.
FHA loans are often used by borrowers with less-than-2

by nscYesterday MDG sent me an email that asked me to answer some questions about the Bulldogs and the WAC as a whole. Personally I think these questions are great for a blog. I have decided that since we do not play for ten more days I am going to do blogs such as this one today. Anyhow on to the questions asked by the Texas Longhorns Blog Burnt Orange Nation. What's a BlogPoll Roundtable? Bloggers/BlogPoll voters use these questions as an opportunity to learn more about the teams our colleagues follow most closely.1) Handicap Fresno State's chances to win the WAC. If Fresno State is not the favorite then who is?First off let me say I think the Bulldogs have a very good shot at winning the WAC this season. The reason for my optimism is the schedule. Fresno State in my eyes has one of the most favorable WAC schedules this season (aside Hawaii of course). Because the Bulldogs are such a young team they will need a large amount of confidence going into the game at Hawaii. Having the f
IT EMERGED yesterday, here under the swaying old Taipei Hyatt, that Intel's high-end desktop darling with dual X16 PCI-E v2 graphics slots - the X38 chipset - is just slightly better off than the P35 when it comes to memory performance at a given FSB and memory frequency combo. How much is that "slightly better off"?, we're sure you're dying to know. We ran Sandra XI memory bandwidth and latency benchmark on two high end X38 pre-production boards, both based on the A0 chipset stepping (the A1 one, around any time now, should be a bit better, though). The vendor, whose name is protected for the obvious reasons, put forward two configurations for us: one based on DDR2 memory, the other based on DDR3. Both used the dual core Intel E6850 3GHz / FSB1333 CPU clocked to 3.33GHz / FSB1667, the favourite clock speed setting. The DDR2 one used Geil memory running at 833 CL3-3-3-5 setting, while the DDR3 config used 1667 CL7-7-7-14 setting. Read more...
“Sam PH” went out to the Brach’s Candy factory on Tuesday before its implosion for “The Dark Knight” to bring us a new report.Warning: This is spoiler information.I went by there today [Tuesday] and took a few photos from the perimeter fence. I talked to a couple of the local residents. It looks like it will happen about noon from what they have been told. They won’t be dropping the whole building, I’m guessing. Rather, they’ll just blow out the new glass facade they have installed on the north side of the standalone building.Sticks of dynamite are wired along the bottoms of the new windows. Aside from the new facade, they added a big red cross on the factory side with a few new windows and a “pharmacy” vertical sign. The north face of the pedestrian crossover has been nicely recovered and the word “emergency” has been painted on it. The neighborhood on the north side of the plant (to Chicago Avenue) will be closed off on Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. to anyone
Following up on my Aug. 14 report announcing the upcoming building implosion sequence for “The Dark Knight,” I received on Aug. 23 at 11:09 p.m. yet another confirmation from an independent source who sheds additional light on what it’ll be used for.Warning: This is spoiler information. It’s true. Here’s a spoiler. The [Brach Candy] building will be a Gotham city hospital. Crews are currently and rapidly renovating the western facade (facing Cicero) of the massive, abandoned building. They are installing fake black windows and a very large, lit up red cross. I could vaguely make out what will surely spell “emergency”. 1:03 a.m. update on 8/24/07: I requested some additional information about these new details from this source. He has given me permission to credit him as “Sam PH”.I only found out about the building and demolition recently. Here is a photo. Not bad considering the weather. You can clearly make out the hospital cross. The bright white light on the right of

GT-R speculation: More tech details emergeThe GT-R may be the most eagerly anticipated Nissan in the history of the Japanese automaker. New information has been coming to us in a steady leak for months, and this time we're getting more details from the folks over at 7tune. Nissan's VQ family of engines won't apply to Nissan's affordable supercar, instead a new VR designation will befit a new 3.8-liter V6 with twin turbos and a bad-ass output of 480hp. Nissan will use plenty of high-quality, light weight materials, like titanium for the intake valves, a carbon fiber hood, and magnesium alloy for the oil pan, cam covers, and exhaust, while Variable Valve Event Lift (VVEL) will help crank out maximum power and efficiency. Nissan is using a platform that they term "Midship Premium", and much of the weight is being concentrated in the middle of the car for better handling. We're as excited about the coming of the GT-R as most of you are, and the more we hear about Sir Ghosn's crowned j
The basic motive of offering debts to the individuals is to uplift them financially, to make them enable so that they can meet their day to day requirements. But, at times due to some mistakes we end up in all the more troublesome position because of these financial aids. Let us take an example here, if you have taken up some loan in order to finance the education of your child, or to purchase some vehicle but fail to make timely repayment of that particular loan amount. As a result of this, you may incur defaults or arrears in your credit record in the form of bad credit. The next time you need a loan amount and you approach some lender, there is a high possibility that he may either refuse or charge very high interest rates from you. An only way to emerge from such situation is to opt for an online debt management program. Let us find out what kind of online debt management program is present in the market, how to search for it and find the best one for you. Online mode is stressed

WOLFDALE CORE 2 Duo processors might not be due on shelves for another few months, but engineering samples are already rolling off the fabs - and one has made its way into a benchmarking rig over at HKEPC. The chip, designed for next-gen desktops, is built on Intel's new 45nm process, making it a smaller version of the existing Core 2 chips. It supports all the usual Intel instruction gubbins, including the new SSE4 and 64-bit instructions. The engineering sample benchmarked was running at 2.33GHz, 1333MHz FSB and stacked up 6MB of L2 cache. Compared against an existing E6550 Conroe chip (same speeds, only 4MB cache) the Wolfdale performs impressively. Clock for clock, performance is up 19 per cent in OpenGL rendering, and 13 per cent in ScienMark's molecular dynamics test. SSE3 instructions are 15 per cent faster, whilst standard office applications appear to be between five and eight per cent faster. Gaming-wise, there are some big gains - with a GeForce 8800 Ultra card
Growing up, I recall having a special place in my game-playing arsenal for Warcraft. When it went online in the form of World of Warcraft in more recent years, I declined to play along.Instead, I made the mistake of tinkering with EverQuest II.If you’ve ever played an MMO, you know there’s pretty much no such thing as “tinkering” with such a game. You either devote a seriously significant part of your life to it or you don’t play at all.In my first year “tinkering” with EverQuest II along with many of my real-life friends, I donated an obscene amount of my non-work time. I certainly spent enough time warming up to the fire with comments from Forbes magazine and there for sure will be more to come but the next stop on the magazine subscription train is with Smartmoney magazine from the owners of the Wall Street Journal. here you get some really insightful ideas on not just routine investment strategies but more off the beaten path ideas like discovering new trends or even highlighting old school ideas that people are too busy to see under their noses.
Today’s posting uncovers one such hidden gem. Pest control. We run a web site design company over at www.ladezign.com and one of our first promotional ideas was to design pest control sites for companies around the U.S. who most likely have pretty shoddy sites. What will knock your socks off though is the idea that pest control has grown into a $6.7 billion industry, up 28% since 2000 (According to the National Pest Management Association).
It’s a great time to be in the pest-control business.

Beginning on July 6, college coaches packed their bags — and their golf bags, while no one was looking — and embarked on furious travel schedules. Virtually all of the nation’s best high school players did the same, making their annual journey to secure scholarship offers and in some cases to build upon reputations that already carry more…
WASHINGTON, June 27 — The Senate immigration bill’s chances of passage seemed in doubt late this afternoon as several lawmakers signaled that they were undecided about supporting the legislation.
The bill is in more danger “than I thought a few hours ago,” Senator Christopher Dodd, Democrat of Connecticut, told Bloomberg News. His comments came after the Senate voted down several attempts to make the immigration bill stricter, including one that would have barred illegal immigrants from a chance for eventual citizenship.
But the bill’s very fate was in doubt as senators who voted Tuesday to allow the bill to go forward said today that they were either now against allowing a vote on final passage or were inclined that way.

It seems to be a growing trend these days where the American automakers are experiencing their worst, whereas the imports are doing abundantly well. Motor Authority is reporting that Cadillac might be the next victim in this streak with the STS and DTS sedans. The front-wheel drive DTS is predicted to be the first one planned to go, despite being one of the brand's top sellers.Automotive News is reporting that Cadillac might be downsizing their future cars, and focus more around the CTS. The STS might also be sent off to death row, in place of a long-wheelbase CTS. The iPhones are coming! The iPhones are coming! AT&T is said to be starting the prep work to get iPhone displays installed in retail spots countrywide in preparation for the big day. We know this should be no biggie, and is usually accomplished by taking the phone, slapping on a security device, and placing on shelf / in cabinet. Read on…

With the rise in Indian and international business traffic to Bangalore, the demand within the hospitality industry has skyrocketed. The new genre of serviced apartments has hence emerged as a cost effective alternative for business travellers and tourists. These serviced-apartments are largely operated by apartment owners or builders and usually offer entire apartments (1, 2 or 3 bedroom) or studio units or shared apartments.

The emergent conversation. The journey. Seekers. Dislike and distain for the institutionalized church. It seems like most of what I hear about all of this is the opposite of a Radio Shack commercial. “You’ve got questions, not really looking for answers.” I’m one of those people who can take a look at something and come up with whether or not I think it’s good pretty quick. Most of the time when I decide I don’t like it I just dismiss it and its done. Sometimes I decide I don’t like it, dismiss it, but in reality it’s on one of the back burners in my brain, stewing. Such is the case with the emergent/emerging, seekers, those who say they are on the journey, those who say they are trying to look beyond the institutional church. You know what? I have no idea what any of that means.

The concept of the hip, fashion-conscious modern mom has inspired fashion labels, books and blogs, all aimed at reinventing tired stereotypes about life after kids. Today’s mom infuses a sense of style into everything she does, and everything she carries - from diaper bags to burp rags, with a love of shopping and a dash of sex appeal as just another part of the balancing act - or at least that is the position so many of these companies take! Recently, an increase in lifestyle publications aimed specifically at moms has perked my interest. In addition to providing fashion and beauty PR’s new media targets, I think it is indicative of a larger, cultural shift toward the reinvention of motherhood in terms of self-concept, career, and yes, consumerism.

The renowned Architect, Hazel Wong, has proclaimed that Dubai’s Skyline will be a competitor in days to come with most other architecturally well-known cities.Wong, the Regional Director of RMJM, an architectural firm in Dubai, who also helped in designing of the Emirates Towers in Dubai, said that the architectural spotlight will be shifting to Dubai, which also has designs such as the Dancing Towers and Burj Dubai. While speaking during the landmark ceremony of the West Wharf Residential Tower in the “New Manhattan” Business Bay in Dubai, Wong is reported to have mentioned that Dubai has stood apart in being the main focus of global architecture and is continuing to attract plenty of international tourists. The velocity of developments, wherein the planning and building of the projects takes place at a very rapid pace, is very satisfying for the architects.UAE has been attracting some of the renowned architects, like for instance Zaha Hadid, the first woman to be awarded the pre
I guess we should expect these things in a convention of not-so-perfect candidates and Howard Dean as the main speaker. The Liberal leadership convention is underway in Montreal, and a flyer aimed at delegates for Michael Ignatieff has asked them to consider not voting. The poorly-made flyer, circulated through the Palais des Congres, says: "If you are having second thoughts about your candidate, don't vote on the first ballot."Most Liberals believed the flyer was meant for any Ignatieff supporters having second thoughts, although it does not specifically mention the candidate. It seems that Ignatieff has a pretty strong base that he's managed to keep, at least according to the Strategic Counsel poll. Of course he lacks 2nd choice support, which is mostly going to Dion.Meanwhile, Bob Rae has attracted controversy over his large banner at the centre's entrance. Some delegates have suggested the sign is more orange than red, hinting at his former allegiance to the NDP."I deny it," Rae t
OK; they're not the most detailed details. But we can "reveal" that like the new Mazdaspeed6 will have a turbocharged four-cylinder mill. This time out the 2.5-liter engine will be the base Mazda6 motor. Power will swell to something in the 280 horsepower neighborhood, with improved torque busting out all over. All wheel-drive will keep those horses harnessed, but no word as to whether Mazda has tweaked the system from the last iteration. Unleashing a Mazdaspeed6 is a little unusual for FoMoCo's partners. In days gone by, Mazda released the performance versions of their vanilla cars midway through the non-tweaked products' lifecycle (see: the Protege MPS, Mazdaspeed Miata, Mazdaspeed 6 and Mazda3). Still, the "early release" of the hi-po version is worth a
Can you tell we're a little excited about the planned Toyota-Subaru joint RWD sports coupe? Well, the more we learn, the more we want to know, and luckily Edmunds Inside Line has some new info on the project. The coupe's RWD platform will be developed from Subaru's existing AWD architecture, and will be powered by "a revised version of (Subaru's) naturally aspirated boxer
First off, it's not very big. Measuring less than 10 feet long and weighing just over a ton, the iQ is Smart-sized. Unlike the two-seat Daimler product, the Toyota boasts a rear seat. Maybe "boasts" isn't the best word choice. ToMoCo is calling it a "three and a half seater." Ouch. Automotive News [sub] reports the iQ will also feature the thriftiest fuel economy of any To
