You may recall the long, sad drama that has unfolded since the Supreme Court ordered the EPA to study the effects of greenhouse gases in April of 2007 (you can read about it HERE). After the EPA finally caved and completed the study, they emailed it to the White House where it sat in the President's inbox while he and his staff ignored it.
In order for the study to be made public, the White
Prodigal Jon who blogs at Stuff Christians Like has some rather interesting observations about “Sex in the City” in relation to Christian living:
I know some Christian ladies that like the show “Sex in the City.” They watch it and laugh and secretly wonder what it would be like if the character “Mr. Big” ever became [...]
Are you fond of editing your posts after you’ve published them? While I will cop to this behavior from time to time, I only WISH that I could edit them as HYSTERICALLY as Jon Deal (Ransom Note Typography). It was so funny I had to post a third time today.

Photonovice.net is running a Blog Statistics Project (deadline is May 9), so I figured it would be a good opportunity to actually look at my stats. Here are the 10 most popular articles of all time and the top 10 referring websites sending visitors.

So I made a Flickr group yesterday. As I mentioned in the last PhotoDump, I’m becoming overwhelmed with all the new photos from my contacts. One thing I’m doing is cutting the Zooomr PhotoDump to make more time and room for Flickr. The other thing I’d like to do is get a group going on Flickr so I can really focus in on all of you.
From here out, I’ll be pulling photos for the weekly PhotoDump from the group pool. Every Sunday, I’ll still post a PhotoDump on the blog, but it will be my selections of photos from the pool. I’ll probably try to limit the number of photos to somewhere between 20 and 40. I had been pulling photos from my contacts photostream, but there are a few flaws with doing that. One issue is that there are just so many new photos it’s hard to keep up. The other issue is that Flickr only shows 5 photos from a bulk upload, meaning that if you upload 10 new photos I’ll only see 5 of them. Not cool.

Actress CAMERON DIAZ has landed a new role - as the guest editor of U.S. magazine National Geographic Kids' first 'Green Issue'. Environmental campaigner Diaz is pictured alongside a polar bear on the front cover of the publication's October (07) issue. And the 35-year-old uses her new editor role to give the magazine's young readers some green tips. She writes: "I wash the plastic wrap after I use it, but I also do things like put a plate over the bowl instead of plastic wrap. "I just figure out how to do things differently so it's better for the environment."
Totally not photography related, but I felt the need to share. I’ve made quite a few little changes on this website, and I just wanted to point some things out for any new arrivals (and for those who read the feed without coming to the site too often).
I haven’t changed the overall design in quite a while, but I’m constantly updating the sidebars and the way certain pages operate. I’ve really tried to start the process of simplification on the site, so nearly 100% of what I show in sidebars or other pages I find to be relevant to photography in general. Most noticeably, the sidebars lost a little weight and clutter.

The “Info Center” will get you what you need. Most notably are the new email subscriptions.
The “Weekly Poll” and “Current Project” spots speak for themselves. Do note that I’ve added a running entries page for projects.

Sue Ellen surprendeu

I've been on a roll with that first person novel. I haven't had any writer's block when it comes to this one. So glad about that too. I have edited the part that I shared here so much that it doesn't look like the same chapter, heehehehehe. And I'm so far with it that I can't believe my own eyes, of course, I'm still just pouring it out so I'll be in review and edit mode again here soon. But, I'll save that for when the muse lets me stop and catch my breath!I wish I could share it here, but I don't want to spoil it! A little bit farther and I think I might actually take a huge chance and submit it to Samhain Publishing.Pray, people.....I need all the faith I can get!
