Good day to all! Once again, we have another daily update of Japanese grammar and tenses. In this post, we shall learn how to use -tekara てから and ato de あとで to tell someone “later” or “after” in Japanese. てから is useful when use together with verbs to tell someone that after doing this particular [...]
Writing songs is a cyclic process.
Sometimes a song apprears with the greatest of ears and sometimes writing songs is like pulling teeth.
If you find yourself entering a period where nothing is coming out and your motivation is low, the first thing you should do is stop worrying about it.
We have all been there haven’t we? [...]
I spend a lot of time focusing on the things I'm not doing right or the things I'm doing wrong. The meal planning which frankly, just ain't happening. The kitchen floor which hasn't been properly scrubbed since before Christmas. The overflowing piles of clean laundry slowly taking over the master bedroom.Yup. I've got a lot to figure out yet. Lots of room for improvement.I should be glad. My current state of "Before" is going to make my "After" look fan-freakin'-tastic!Every once in awhile though I have a lovely moment wherein I notice something I'm doing right. I need to be less dismissive of those moments I think. Here's One - My Girls after a Quick Kiss:My daughters? Love each other. Hugely. When Becca wakes up in the morning and sees Emma for the first time she shouts out, "Em
Do you feel the rush and stress of everyday living? Do you feel tired a lot and feel that your self-esteem is suffering? Here are some nice things you can do for yourself today:

You know, I really love my job. I love it enough that every time I make a mistake or just do something wrong I hit my head on the wall and expect the worst. I did a lot of that this year. In recap, I think I even had more bad moments than good. Or [...]
Patrick, over at Cash Money Life relates to us his financial life story in brief.
Unlike many of us (myself included), he appears to have done the right thing from the very beginning. That, with no life-busting emergencies has him sailing smoothly. The best part? He has the freedom to be doing the work he wants to do rather than finding the job that pays him the most possible.
All I can say is Congratulations. Great job, keep it up.
Here's hoping my efforts to join him in financial serenity works out in real life like it does on paper.
Consumerism Commentary did Patrick one better however. Sasha just reached a major milestone by making the last payment on $52,050 of student loans. That is huge and a wonderful goal to reach. The writing is pretty entertaining too.
Brooke is looking better than ever as seen here on her first cover shoot since her baby was born. Shields lost her baby weight by doing an hour of “something” every day, such as a walk in the park or dancing to the hokey pokey with her kids. Hey whatever keeps her from driving her kids in to a brick wall right?

I was tempted to just put up these pictures without an explanation and let you think Hilary Duff spends her free time dancing on rooftops, but she’s actually on set filming her new movie Greta. And while I have no idea what the movie is about, judging from these shots (and these sunglasses) you can be sure this movie will be chock full of wild hijinks. And, if they’re still shooting for that Academy Award, alien lesbians.

It’s a slow news day, so here’s Beyonce at the Samsung press conference for her new B Phone with some tape on her boob. Or glue. A scar? Look, what am I, a glue tape scar expert? No. I’m just the guy that sits here bench pressing trucks while women throw themselves at me and ogle my muscles. Sometimes I also play with puppies.
Good Morning! The kids are out the door to pick up a ton of other kids (in my truck!) and off to the high school for weight lifting. Somehow my daughter taking my son turned into taking one of her friends as well, and then one of his, and then another one of hers and one more of his. This in turn led to her informing me last night that she'll need my truck every week since her car can't hold
The Quest for Critical MassIt's the college that houses the Underground Railroad Research Institute. The one that offers scholarships to inner-city students and is preparing to host a reunion of a defunct historically black college. You know, Georgetown College, in Kentucky, whose undergraduate population is 94 percent white.Come again?William H. Crouch Jr., president of the small, Christian liberal arts college, has heard that response many times before. He's used to blank stares on the road when he states his goal of Georgetown's non-white student percentage shooting into the upper teens."The fact that I'm a white college president at a mostly white college in a predominantly white part of the country is getting a lot of people's attention," Crouch said. "I tell them, "We're in a position to make a difference. It's the right thing to be doing.'"To some, Georgetown is known as the college that recently severed ties with its Baptist convention or, simply, as t
As I've written about before, I hate MFA sites! They are such huge leeches on the Internet but I certainly can't blame them for taking advantage of a legal, money-making opportunity.Given my hatred for MFA sites, I was ecstatic to hear on Monday that Google has sent email out to MFA publishers that their accounts will be disabled starting June 1. This is great news. Although Jen from Jensense.com stated that both MFA publishers and arbitrage publishers are getting their accounts disabled, Shoemoney has a video blog post refuting the news that arbitrage publishers are getting disabled.I don't mind arbitrage publishers (that's where you buy ads for a low price and get people to visit a site where you hope they click other ads that get you a higher payment than you paid to get the click) because it's a legitimate strategy in many traditional markets (not just online ads). Although part of MFA sites strategy is arbitrage, the fact that they have absolutely zero value (they don't even
So for those of you who didn't read my blog for the short few hours that I had a post up, I posted about needing some help with my articles. Now, I posted that I needed 25 articles - short, only about 500 words - and the pay was $75.00. Well, boy did I learn something. I'm way underpaid. But it isn't just by one person, I get paid between $3.00 and $8.00 for every article around 500 words that I write. I got comments saying people are getting paid $75.00 to $600.00 for article of that length. Who the hell are you people writing for?? I write for website articles, not magazine articles... is that the difference? Should I be branching out here? Where do I get work like this?Wow, I guess I'm just not writing for the right people or something, but I just can't figure out for the life of me how I would get a gig that pays that much money!! Anyone have any suggestions?
I must be doing something right...to have elicited comments like this, from my cross-posting of excerpts of my music blog on www.rockandrollreport.com:"you have no idea what you are talking about. but i really thought it was great how you tried to act like youre a music critic extrordinaire. Sadly you come off like a know-it-all prick. you are a dumb ass, who knows as much about music as a stupid drugged out hippy. if i were you i'd stick to blogging about iraq, or what foods you like to eat, or quantum physics, because frankly after reading that mindless dribble you wrote, it seems that you know ABSOLUTELY nothing about music. let alone GOOD music."...by one "dont know".And my old correspondent Mark Zepezauer, laff-riot political cartoonist and publisher of the former Tucson Comic News and a host of rabble-rousing books including Boomerang!: How Our Covert Wars Have Created Enemies Across the Middle East and Brought Terror to America, writes:"Good to see you have better taste in musi
After being charged Tuesday with drunk driving and leaving the scene of an accident, University of Illinois basketball player Jamar Smith offered up this explanation for why he drove a totaled car all the way home with his friend unconscious in the passenger seat rather than wait for help at the scene: He believed the teammate in the passenger seat of his car had died.
Let me repeat that. He
