The payment to Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is for four months work on the couple's ongoing custody battle, but less than Spears' current payments of $500,000. The singer's lawyer, Stacy Phillips, argued in court last week that Kaplan had been over-charging Spears and requested contributions from Federline. New information reveals that Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, gave testimoney that led to her daughters scaled back custody rights. “Britney’s mom Lynne said Britney wants to be a good mom, but she doesn’t have the tools to do so,” Britney broke down in sobs as her mom’s sworn statement was read aloud to the court. Los Angeles Commissioner Scott Gordon handed down his ruling in the Britney Spears - Kevin Federline child custody case this week, and Britney was denied any further extended custody.
TMZ.com is reporting that Britney was awarded just three visits per week: two visits from Noon to 7 PM and one overnight visit. Most importantly, the visits must be monitored.
In his ruling the Commissioner wrote

Looks like instead of the 50/50 custody she was hoping for, Britney will now get 2 supervised visits with her children per week. 1 afternoon and 1 overnight. The reason she did not get 50/50 custody is because the coach revealed that Britney missed three of their appointments and during the appointments that she actually made it to, she ignored her kids. Stellar. Maybe if the kids want attention they should dress up like frappuccinos. It would be effective AND adorable… as long as they don’t mind hickeys on their heads.
