Ok so I decided to pimp out my blog a little and though I'd add Social Bookmarking links so that people could 'Digg' my posts so that others could 'StumbleUpon' them etc (oh, I am so clever!). So I start looking for some widgets to easily add to my blog template and realize there aren't that many out there. And the one that I found let me add the widget to the blog as a whole and not to each post. Now, why would someone want others to bookmark his/her blog for cryin' out loud! .......So then I started looking at XML code available online for inserting these buttons onto my blog and it's insane! There is no one single instance of this code on the web that works! Either the parsing is incorrect or .png files are not tracked right or in some cases, I couldn't even understand what the problem

Meghan Goss over at the Humane Society of the United States shared with me a horrifying undercover video detailing the outrageously cruel treatment of sick and weak cattle in the Hallmark Meat Packing Plant in Chino, CA. These already sick and dying cattle were forced to stand, so they could be "processed" meaning, slaughtered, by torturing them in myriad ways. According to the video (which I could not bear to watch) and Goss, this included "shocking the cows with electric prods, jabbing them in the eyes, shackling and dragging the cattle, ramming them with blades of a forklift, and spraying high pressure water into the cows' mouth and nose" to simulate drowning. I know I was suppose to have put up the Market Bags portion of the Great White North Contest, however my baby has been quite beside himself. Almost two weeks ago his first tooth popped through, yet he has been miserable for a week now. So my parents, have decided to be generous and buy it for me for a Birthday/Christmas present - I’ve been going on about a new PC for ages when there was nothing wrong with my old system (1GB RAM, 1TB HDD, P4, 19″ Phillips LCD), but now I’ve an excuse - both my main system and laptop are acting up (Laptop’s problem is running out of HDD space!) So my ranting and raving is no longer falling on deaf ears!

MamaP posted something about these 14 year old girls who were making fun of people with Tourette's Syndrome (Aug 15th post titled Tic'd off) and it made me furious. I went to YouTube to try to find it - but to no avail. I was ready to rag on these girls - and I was hoping that somehow their parents can be told of their cruel acts. Maybe not finding the particular video was a good thing because I was planning on embedding it here to "humiliate" them. But if I do that, then I would be going down to their level, and that I don't want to do. Michelle cell is over 100 degres and she has asked again and agai for her fan to be fixed. 3 weeks now without it.Lisa Jo writes of how Michelle has been unable to eat fo weeks but no one seems to mind. Reading through the news today and i could not believe what i was reading about terminal cancer sufferer and charity worker Jane Tomlinson. She has revealed that she has been receiving abusive phone calls from callous morons accusing her of faking her illness.
This is a woman who over the last several years has worked with utmost dedication for charity to help others and ignored her own cancer plight, she must have been going through some terrible pain but carried on regardless to help others. (more…)

Then his hamstring gave out. In one of the most heart wrenching moments of the season so far, Hughes was great as he was dominating the Rangers and holding them without a hit. Then, as the prized prospect continued to flirt with history, it was all over in a blink of an eye.The injury came when after Hughes threw an 0-2 breaking ball to Mark Teixeria with one out in the 7th. He grabbed the back of his left thigh in pain and had to leave the game. The Yankees were sailing along, up 9-0, and Hughes had thrown just 83 pitches. Terrier Man wrote a really great post called "Cruel Spring" on his blog. It made me think about a day of hunting I will regret for the rest of my life. His post is about seeing a vixen hit by a car on the side of the road and thinking for the rest of the weekend the poor pups that most definitely starved in their den without the mom to feed them. This story reminds me of a this day many years back in which I was turkey hunting out in Orange County. The farmer who had given me permission to hunt on his land asked me to take any groundhogs and any foxes that I came upon. I had never taken a fox before and to be honest did not even think about it as I was blood thirsty for a turkey. Hunting this farm I saw turkeys every day and in four years I never killed a turkey on this farm. Anyways about year two, I am set up on this power line and I start to call real light and out pops this fox at 40 yards and walks right at me.
