Followers of the Dalai Lama claim that China is behind dissent by those who question his ban on the worship of Dorje ShugdenIt has been 12 years since I first heard Dorje Shugden’s name. I am amazed at the critics of the "critics" of the Lakeland Revival. What? Ostracize people for standing for the Truth and esteeming the Word of God over a move of men? Forget what the Word says and go with the flow of the spirit? This is what the pro-Lakeland supporters and false prophets would have one to do, for they value the praises and the workings of men over the Word of God. It's orchestra

An observing public may wonder about those countless diatribes frequently posted against former Sathya Sai Baba followers who have spoken out. The Times Online has a fun piece this morning in which various writers and critics "choose their most-loathed books." It's juicy stuff.

Google Inc. quieted its critics Thursday as its first-quarter earnings showed stronger-than-expected revenue growth. Its stock soared 18 percent in after-hours trading.Google also reached a notable milestone, as 51 percent of the search giant's revenue in the quarter came from international markets. That's up from 47 percent in the year-ago quarter and 49 percent from the fourth quarter of 2007. In a conference call, Google Chief Executive Eric Schmidt said the achievement shows Google is "a truly global company."But he also noted that the quarter's strong performance indicates that "paid-click growth is much higher than has been speculated by third parties."That was a clear reference to a ComScore Inc. report Tuesday that showed Google's paid clicks grew by only 2.7 percent in March compa

German police fear that a group of Russian art critics may have possibly abducted a Russian artist living in Berlin who herself was critical to Vladimir Putin and the Russian Orthodox Church which was probably the reason why she was living in a "safe" place like Berlin in the first place but these art critics are clearly of the big-time and international type and will stop at nothing to do their job and express their criticism and intend to show Russian artists like her that you can run if you wish but you cannot hide, at least not when it comes to creating and exhibiting controversial art critical to the powers that be in Russia, these being none other than the Russian art critics themselves, of course, and that if you want to live safely in the future it would probably be better for you
To say that The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has contorted logic and language to avoid criticizing its early patron, the terrorist group Hamas, would be damning enough. But the full truth is even worse: CAIR and its leaders have, over the years, actively supported Hamas positions and regularly done their best to discredit critics of militant Islamic activity. Those ties with Hamas are at the center of today's installment in our examination of CAIR's history and activities. Part IV...(read more)

Critics of the CATS test say that’s proof that the whole test needs to be dumped or at the very least, the writing portfolios need to go. But some teachers say that would be a bad idea......A state senate bill that would abolish the CATS test has virtually no chance of passing the house and would face a veto by Governor Beshear if it ever got to his desk.Video here.
Weather the person's motive for confronting us is good or evil we'd be wise to learn a lesson. No matter how unfair the criticism might seem to be. We should prayerfully spread it before the Lord. "Lord, please show me the truth hidden in this criticism."
One of the ways we can measure our maturity is by how we respond to confrontation.
The EPA has tightened air pollution standards...I can breathe easier already! But most think it will be met with sharp criticism from health experts and some members of Congress because it conflicts with recommendations of two agency's scientific advisory panels. The new EPA standard will lower allowable concentration of ozone in the air to no more than 75 parts per billion (the old standard was 80 parts per billion). The science advisory boards said that it should be 60 - 70 parts per billion to protect our nation's most vulnerable citizens (elderly, asthmatics, children, those with respiratory illness). While the decision seems to fall short of what is needed it nevertheless obligates nearly 50% of the monitored counties to make air quality improvement. Most clean

About 10,000 revellers and a further 400,000 rainbow flag-waving onlookers answered the critics and doomsayers who, in the lead-up to the parade, claimed Mardi Gras had lost its way. Led by veterans of the first Mardi Gras, the '78ers, Saturday night's parade contained many politically-themed entries alongside the more colourful, crazy and outrageous ones. The '78ers received a particularly warm welcome from the onlookers who lined Oxford Street for the event's 30th birthday bash. Among other popular paraders were the progressive Jewish group Dayenu, who marched with Beit el Hob (House of Love), a group for LGBTQs of Middle Eastern backgrounds. Crowds also gave
In what could be the best game of this season to date, there is more on the line than just in state bragging rights for the Tigers and Vols. Memphis and Tennessee are the top two teams in both polls this week, but they are still looking for the respect that comes with being that high in the polls. Many people I have talked to see Memphis as the default #1 team because they are undefeated but others think they are overrated because they play in a "mid major" conference. This poll was created to continue the tradition of a national survey of critics, by calling attention to the year's best -- and, in many cases, most overlooked -- films, providing a meaningful counterpoint to much of the year-end hoopla.

Jennifer is not too fat, but she is still wearing a bikini that does not suit her. If you have breasts they need support, if you have hips don’t wear hipster bikini bottoms.
And if you don’t want people to scrutinise your body, don’t show it off in pics like these.

Via Q and O I find that Ron Paul’s campaign has found it necessary to make an “I am not a racist” statement. The need for him to do so is a sign that that there have been problems. Q and O makes several good points, and this statement will certainly not satisfy those of us who have had qualms about Paul’s campaign.
One problem is that Paul’s statement misses the point. The issue isn’t primarily whether Paul is a racist but that he uses too man code words of the extremist right and winks too much in their direction for the comfort of many observers of the campaign. Serious candidates for political office would make sure that they are not associated with the groups which Paul is associated with. The nearest example we have had to this was Pat Buchanan’s campaign. As I’ve noted in the past, friends of Buchanan swear that Pat Buchanan is not an anti-Semite. Not knowing Buchanan personally I cannot say what he thinks. However I often heard Buc
By: Pablo Edronkin Some people just fill their mouths with pretended morals regarding gambling and betting, but invariably gambling survives those that pretend to declare it unlawful. It is a natural law: You cannot fight desire. Gambling and playing in general are desires, betting is a desire for money and casinos, both traditional and online, as well as all the games gambled upon inside them are just part or consequence of the people's desire for fun. From time to time, some self-appointed moral pundit comes into existence, and from time to time, some politician trying to get votes listens to them and seeks to have gambling prohibited. However, history has told us many, many times that when something becomes prohibited, it then gets transformed into a forbidden fruit, and these always become desires in themselves. So, a forbidden desire is doubly powerful because to the original desire for - say - gambling, the desire to get the forbidden fruit itself adds up: in the end, the thing
Critics have praised politician Akbar Tandjung's book The Golkar Way as an important guide to Indonesia's political past, but said the book ignored some of the more unsavory aspects of the party's past.J. Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas can't believe the criticism coach Bernd Schuster's team is copping this season. Despite being La Liga leaders, Real have been pulled apart by critics over their style of play and the manner with which they've eked out results so far this season.A fed-up Casillas barked: "This is what always happens with Real Madrid. It is the answer to everything."Last season, at this same time we were in a huge crisis, deadly, and now we are leaders and it's still just as bad."Yet, despite what people are saying, we're still up there - and on merit. There are many games, many ways to play and the important thing is that the team continues to win.
