Linux developer Hans Reiser found guilty of first degree murder despite no body, no physical evidence, and no crime scene!
The Linux community and Slashdot crowed have been rallying around Hans Reiser since he was arrested back in 2006. His wife went missing, there is no body, no crime scene, no physical evidence, but yet he was convicted. What happened? I have a theory, proven time and time again, about criminal defense practice. Hats Off To Crime Scene Cleaners
Few days back, I witnessed a near fatal accident that happened right in front of my eyes. A truck rammed into a bike and grievously injured the couple riding the bike. It was a devastating sight. Honestly I couldn’t even sleep peacefully for so many nights after that. After the police arrived and the injured were taken away in ambulance, the site of the accident remained a gory reminder of what had just happened, with a twisted bike, a dented truck, shards of glass, streaking oil and patches of blood scattered all around. I was still in my car some distance away, too shocked to start driving when I noticed some cleaners arrive and start cleaning up the site. They were carrying with them sophisticated equipments. Watching those cleaners cleaning the site reminded me of m

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (TV Show)
Ok, I just finished season 7 and I must say they did a great job with this season. A miniature serial killer, wow, the way she killed them and make sure they die the same way as she planned, she’s a genius or what? I really love the way they make me want to know more about the killer and why she did that and how they keep it going through the whole season. At first I thought the killer is a guy but in the end it’s a woman. But I’m a bit disappointed with episode 24 because they start the story by showing the killer. I guess I expect more than I should have. Yes, I want to know who the killer is but not in the first scene! I’m wondering how Natalie can abduct Sara because Sara is a trained officer. (Just so you know, I haven’t watch season 8 yet)While watching CSI, one question popped up. Before this I thought they use a fake body or something to replace the victim’s body in the lab while they perform autopsy but then I realize all of it looks real. So, did they really use r

More Recaps From the Crime Scene- UPDATED...AGAIN!
The Pirates were massacred this weekend by the Yankees, and some Mondesi's House readers were on hand to witness it firsthand. Cecil from Cecil checked in on Friday night, Dave from My Brain Says Rage sent over his recap, and here are several others that came in this morning. Personally, I think the only thing worse than watching the games would be paying to watch the games. But here are a few of this morning's excellent recaps. Enjoy!Garrett from Indiana, PA:"Hey Mondesi, I'm from Indiana, PA I was also (un)fortunate enough to make it out to the Bronx this weekend to watch the Buccos get dismantled by the Yankees on Sunday. Here were several things I found interesting:- New York is just as many say, a great city, and I had a blast my first time there.- That being said, I did catch some flak for being a pirates fan. Saturday night (after the 9-3 beating) a New Yorker came and asked how the game went today, and after my response made some joke about Oliver Perez. He was so eager to m

Crime Scene: YouTube’s How-To Guide to Delinquency
A simple search Wednesday of “How To” videos on YouTube not only turned up helpful tips for household repairs, but also offered step-by-step instructions for breaking into that house, stealing the car, driving off without paying for gas, and even scamming a Big Mac. The popular Web site — owned by Google — and known for offering fun viral videos of everything from cats napping to extreme viewer idiocy now is catching flack for allowing instructional videos that show in detail how to pull off a crime. When it launched its Web site in December 2005, YouTube co-founder Steve Chen said the site’s technology ensured “that watching and sharing videos is fast and fun.” YouTube DirektLink But FOXNews.com found videos that law enforcement officials might find unsavory, including how-to’s on computer, bicycle and car theft — and, a special video on stealing coffee from the grocery store. Often filed under entertainment or comedy, the videos seem to be
